  1. Unless I'm missing something in the BIOS settings, msi needs a failsafe routine added to their code. If my x570 asrock board would fail to post 3 times, it would load defaults, and enter the BIOS. This msi board forces you to reset the cmos, which is annoying. I know this board has a memory "try it", but it's not configurable.
  2. It'll post and boot at 6000mhz. Zero of my settings will post 8000mhz. Both module sets do the same thing.
  3. Well crap, I had to go and be the guinea pig for MSI. Their latest bios broke 8000mhz ram on my board. Ive tried for an hour to get it to post, and it just refuses. Expo on, expo off, it does not matter.
  4. Got my led fixed in my bykski gpu block, and also I am trying these new cable less fans. So far I'm impressed with not having a rats nest of wires, and they perform great for $25 for a set.
  5. @electrosofthttps://www.techradar.com/computing/cpu/amds-next-gen-zen-5-cpus-could-launch-seriously-soon-going-by-a-new-rumor https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-X670E-CARBON-WIFI/support 👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎😎
  6. On a different note, I am not sure what to do about Windows 10 ending next year. I have the same feeling in my stomach when I was eventually forced to Windows 10. I did not want to give up my beloved 7. Now that I have 10 in a state where I can use it without a bit of vomit in my mouth, they want to force everyone to 11.
  7. @electrosofthttps://us.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-X670E-CARBON-WIFI/support 04/11/2024 AGESA Patch A updated? Was hoping for Zen 5 support
  8. I read that the other day, about Asus releasing support for zen 5. Should mean a sooner rather than later? I'm ready 🤙
  9. Don't have to worry about sag if you slap a waterblock on it 🤣
  10. Funny you post this now. Yesterday my bling bling stopped working in my gpu water block. I like the white or red light, so I will purchase a replacement from Ali express for $6.
  11. That's unfair, you are a ram wizard...those numbers are nuts bro.
  12. Seen a review on Ali about a guy that ordered a $250 Rtx 4090, and received a box of plastic hangers 🤣
  13. I do remember him! Atta boy 🤙 The new Bykski waterblock runs around 2c cooler than the stock Raijintek. I was able to get personal bests on several benchmarks, running my full fledged windows 10 ltsc.
  14. I used to own a couple premium laptops. I had a Toshiba Quosimo back in the day, plus a couple MSI lappys. Right now I have a 13" HP trashbook that will play some games, but will give you a sunburn on your legs.
  15. Got the new Bykski block installed. I will try and run some benchmarks this weekend to test it's performance. I just read this article which apparently started at Anandtech. If this is true, Intel will be in a world of hurt. https://wccftech.com/amd-zen-5-cpu-core-architecture-over-40-percent-faster-than-zen-4/
  16. Not true, they've been rock solid for me the last few years.
  17. I honestly hope the Redmond morons decide to do a subscription based windows 12, then they can watch their market share collapse. Linux keeps improving, while windows gets worse.
  18. I am of the opposite mindset. Intel has never offered a product that I've been remotely interested in. Whether it is their short lived sockets, or their shady business dealings, I've never felt the urge to purchase anything from the blue side. Their latest flagship cpu is just another example of how they operate. I'm not saying other companies are not without their issues, but Intel has a long history of abusing their position in the marketplace. That alone has made me use my wallet to help their competition. All corporations are trying to stick it to the consumer the best way they know how, but I had made my mind up long ago, not to purchase any of their cpu's ever again.
  19. Has anyone tried these thermal paste replacer pads? I've seen a few reviews, and they claim slightly better results over liquid metal?? They are reusable too! Also spotted this little swivel for GPU waterblocks.
  20. Weren't we just talking about usps being broken? Happened again to me. Apparently they enjoy going in circles 🤣
  21. Traditional hard disk drives are still the most economical way to store large files. If you need faster access than that, you will spend $$ of course. You could always stripe a couple together in a Raid 0 array, but redundancy goes out the window. Maybe some 2.5 SSD's?
