  1. Getting some baseline benching with a mild overclock. This thing is pretty beastly! Great looking card, and well built. Still have some cable cleaning up to do, waiting for my 180 degree connectors to come in. Looking at my rig pic, I am wondering where I am going to put the D5 pump/reservoir 😞 The polychrome RGB software is great as well. Set it and forget it. Unlike the Gskill, or MSI filth that needs to run in order to maintain your choice in colors. It doesnt even stay running as a process, that I can find.
  2. Came home for lunch picked it up, installed it. . Tried to install the new radeon driver again. Got the blue line of death again. May need to reinstall Windows.
  3. Why aren't you on the Prema mod OC team? Yes Taichi time 😁
  4. If anyone is interested in playing around with an AMD card, I will have a 6800XT for sale at the end of the week.
  5. I should have some goodies coming this week that I will share with you guys 🙂
  6. In the radio personalities case, he was being ultra sarcastic. He would say, "well we woke up to 1 inch of global warming this morning", "and there is a possibility of another inch of global warming during the day today" I will miss Windows 7 after upgrading the GPU....RIP. Might as well p*** up a rope, thanks to microcrap and their gestapo tactics. Definitely going to replace her with a Linux distro. Found these at Newegg. Probably not as good of quality as cablemod, but will pick some up.
  7. We had an inch of snow on the ground here in Idaho, two days ago. Local radio guy calls it global warming when it snows this late. 🤣 Getting closer to saying.....eff it, and purchase the Taichi 7900xtx
  8. Agreed, I'd like to see the price around $999 for the xtx taichi. I've been watching it daily to see if there has been any price fluctuations.
  9. Do you have a link for those 90's brother @Mr. Fox? Found these? COMeap GPU VGA PCIe 8 Pin 6 Pin U Turn 180 Degree Angle Connector Power Adapter Board for Desktop Graphics Card https://a.co/d/bDntNRx I've narrowed my gpu choices to the ASRock Taichi 7900xt, or xtx. $849, $1119 respectively. Thoughts?
  10. That doesn't sound like fun. I've only installed windows 10 twenty or twenty-five times on this thing already. It's amazing the things that go wrong with a PC after a 6 mile move? Windows 7 doesn't see the Intel 7265 wifi card any longer. 😳
  11. So, I finally got everything set up and situated, and wanted to try the new adrenaline AMD driver. I've installed it twice, getting the windows 10 hardware has changed chime, then this lovely screen afterwards with a pretty blue line at the top. Wtf AMD? Had to macrium both times
  12. That means nothing to me, as I have never benched antuntu, but congratulations to brother @Mr. Fox🦊. I will have to check it out when I get the PC set back up and running.
  13. Have I missed anything important or ground breaking? Instead of reading through 9 pages of posts, I decided to skip ahead. All moved FINALLY, too exhausted to put the puter desk back together. Hope everyone has a great Easter!
  14. Will have to try after I am done moving. PC and desk are dismantled, and ready for loading.
  15. Set up looks great brother @Mr. Fox! Question? Are the VR Mark benches a little sketchy? I am getting a pretty low score in blue room and was wondering if anyone has some tweak suggestions? Our resident Stud brother @johnkssshas a great score with his 4090, so I kind of expected something close to 9K-ish? Or am I expecting too much? Edit: Never mind, I see I ran Cyan room. that That makes it extremely low
  16. I think if we see that solid state cooling get off the ground, and into some laptops, it could be a game changer. At least as far as thermals are concerned. It would be a game changer for desktops as well.
  17. Not sure about Intel chipsets, but canonkong on winraid has modified AMD chipset drivers, and USB drivers. https://winraid.level1techs.com/c/operating-systems/windows-7-vista-server-2008/35/none
  18. I doubt any new laptop has a csm option at all, even with hidden options enabled. You can install windows 7 in pure uefi, but it's tricky. My digital life forums has some guides.
  19. Oh, that's not good. I did not know about any of this. You can't treat people this way and expect to last very long in the community. I am always leary of those that like to change their username. I've had the same username for 20 years.
  20. Ive done several soft tube systems over the years, thought I would try a hard tube set up. They look very clean when finished. From the review "The likes of EK and Optimus have CPU blocks that cost 3-4x as much as the Forkis RBW, if not more with special editions, and yet everything is close enough in performance to where it won't be a big enough reason these days to justify the price increase."
  21. The Pro kit comes with a D5 pump/reservoir combo, just as the XSPC kit did. https://www.raijintek.com/en/products_detail.php?ProductID=154
  22. https://www.kitguru.net/components/leo-waldock/raijintek-scylla-elite-ca360-review/ https://www.funkykit.com/reviews/cooling/raijintek-scylla-pro-diy-water-cooling-kit-review/6/
  23. I have a box packed somewhere that has soft tubing, and fittings. Many of these kits I have looked at are way overpriced for what they are (as usual). Not sure if its cheaper to piece my own kit together, or look for one that comes with everything. XSPC used to make a really nice kit, at an affordable price, but I cannot find those anywhere.
