  1. Do you have a link for those 90's brother @Mr. Fox? Found these? COMeap GPU VGA PCIe 8 Pin 6 Pin U Turn 180 Degree Angle Connector Power Adapter Board for Desktop Graphics Card https://a.co/d/bDntNRx I've narrowed my gpu choices to the ASRock Taichi 7900xt, or xtx. $849, $1119 respectively. Thoughts?
  2. That doesn't sound like fun. I've only installed windows 10 twenty or twenty-five times on this thing already. It's amazing the things that go wrong with a PC after a 6 mile move? Windows 7 doesn't see the Intel 7265 wifi card any longer. 😳
  3. So, I finally got everything set up and situated, and wanted to try the new adrenaline AMD driver. I've installed it twice, getting the windows 10 hardware has changed chime, then this lovely screen afterwards with a pretty blue line at the top. Wtf AMD? Had to macrium both times
  4. That means nothing to me, as I have never benched antuntu, but congratulations to brother @Mr. Fox🦊. I will have to check it out when I get the PC set back up and running.
  5. Have I missed anything important or ground breaking? Instead of reading through 9 pages of posts, I decided to skip ahead. All moved FINALLY, too exhausted to put the puter desk back together. Hope everyone has a great Easter!
  6. Will have to try after I am done moving. PC and desk are dismantled, and ready for loading.
  7. Set up looks great brother @Mr. Fox! Question? Are the VR Mark benches a little sketchy? I am getting a pretty low score in blue room and was wondering if anyone has some tweak suggestions? Our resident Stud brother @johnkssshas a great score with his 4090, so I kind of expected something close to 9K-ish? Or am I expecting too much? Edit: Never mind, I see I ran Cyan room. that That makes it extremely low
  8. I think if we see that solid state cooling get off the ground, and into some laptops, it could be a game changer. At least as far as thermals are concerned. It would be a game changer for desktops as well.
  9. Not sure about Intel chipsets, but canonkong on winraid has modified AMD chipset drivers, and USB drivers. https://winraid.level1techs.com/c/operating-systems/windows-7-vista-server-2008/35/none
  10. I doubt any new laptop has a csm option at all, even with hidden options enabled. You can install windows 7 in pure uefi, but it's tricky. My digital life forums has some guides.
  11. Oh, that's not good. I did not know about any of this. You can't treat people this way and expect to last very long in the community. I am always leary of those that like to change their username. I've had the same username for 20 years.
  12. Ive done several soft tube systems over the years, thought I would try a hard tube set up. They look very clean when finished. From the review "The likes of EK and Optimus have CPU blocks that cost 3-4x as much as the Forkis RBW, if not more with special editions, and yet everything is close enough in performance to where it won't be a big enough reason these days to justify the price increase."
  13. The Pro kit comes with a D5 pump/reservoir combo, just as the XSPC kit did. https://www.raijintek.com/en/products_detail.php?ProductID=154
  14. https://www.kitguru.net/components/leo-waldock/raijintek-scylla-elite-ca360-review/ https://www.funkykit.com/reviews/cooling/raijintek-scylla-pro-diy-water-cooling-kit-review/6/
  15. I have a box packed somewhere that has soft tubing, and fittings. Many of these kits I have looked at are way overpriced for what they are (as usual). Not sure if its cheaper to piece my own kit together, or look for one that comes with everything. XSPC used to make a really nice kit, at an affordable price, but I cannot find those anywhere.
  16. I have found the kit I want for around $320 https://www.performance-pcs.com/water-cooling/watercooling-complete-kits/rajintek-scylla-pro-ca360-kit-hard-tube-rjk-0r10b00216.html Cant make up my mind between a hard tube kit (never done, want to try), and a soft tube kit.
  17. So I have been looking at some custom loop kits, and found a Raijintek kit that I like. I have read a couple reviews, and most are pretty positive. What do you all think? https://www.raijintek.com/en/products_detail.php?ProductID=153
  18. I will be losing all the prime benching weather soon. Brother @Papusan(The Snowman), I think, has a much longer/larger window for overclocking.
  19. I am using Office 2021 on my desktop, and have not noticed anything like that. I also use dark themes, including my custom theme. Do you use dark mode? I wonder if that would make a difference.
  20. Now that you have bought a 4090, I have been thinking about a 7900xtx. Its nowhere near the card the 4090 is, but it would be fun to bench. I would have to go custom water as well, and sell the arctic cooler, and 6800xt. I would lose Windows 7, which I will forever love, but as you have said, the redmond nazis are choking it off to the point of no return. Do you have any recommendations for 360mm water cooling kits, such as the XSPC kits? I cannot seem to find any of those anymore.
  21. Oh crap, that did everything I wanted, and fast too...lol Thank you!
  22. A bit off topic, but what does everyone (if any) use to disable Windows Defender, and smart screen in windows 10?
  23. Not sure what bug you have with office text rendering. Could you post a link to it? I use office quite a bit, and have not seen any artifacts. Is it on a specific version of office? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/troubleshoot/settings/office-display-issues
  24. EVGA has these on their website store, but they are not the same as the straps I had before. I think I sent a link to you bro @Mr. Foxa few years back. I found those on Ebay. Single strap without the loop, I love those too. https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=K00K-00-000004 Edit: was just going to order some, but not worth the time. They limit your purchase to a quantity of 2 for a total of 4 straps...??
