  1. I have an excuse 🙂 Nonetheless, that is an amazing accomplishment. 👏 Not sure if someone could put up with me for that long. Mrs. Fox sounds like one of a kind 🤙
  2. Ryzen 7850x, 32gb Gskill 6000mhz, Still havent made up my mind between the MSI B650 Carbon, or the X670E carbon, LanCool iii, 500gb WD SN 850 NVME (purchased) 6TB Seagate HDD (Data), evga 1000w supernova, Sapphire nitro 6800xt (purchased) 420mm arctic freezer liquid cooler (purchased) 32" 165hz 1440p Agon curved monitor (purchased) So I will be selling the Ryzen 3900x here or fb marketplace.
  3. Looks like you can use G-sync on a freesync monitor.....cool. I didnt realize that when looking for a GPU. Must be a fairly new thing?
  4. So I just picked up a 6800xt for $550 on ebay. I messaged him, and he accepted. Seller says these cards are all less than 1 month old, and not used for mining. It's a sapphire nitro card.
  5. I think I will stay with Amd, because I have a 32" freesync monitor. @Clamibot its crazy to spend that kind of cash on a card that's 3 years old, it's stupid. I'm trying to find something for a friend's build, but my God there are absolutely zero good deals out there now.
  6. Looking on ebay for a decent gpu at a decent price, Ive found several 6800xt's below $600 (Used) Good deal? Seems they are equivalent to a 3080?
  7. They're both carbons. One is the b650 carbon, the other is a x670e carbon. The 670 has pcie 5, but is $150 more. In all my AMD builds I've used the X** series chipsets. The only B series I've used is the one I have currently (B350) (freebie). (Stupid motherboard prices.)
  8. Question for the super geeks ( I am only a mega geek) 🙂 Is PCIE 5 of any benefit at this time? The reason I am asking, is because I have since canceled my build order place on the 25th of December, (4) times. Mostly because I dont like the original motherboard choice I had. Plus I really dont want to spend $1000 on one that used to cost 75% less a short 3 years ago. I am ony Ive narrowed it down to these two choices. I am going with MSI purely for the fact that canonkong at winRaid recommends them for Windows 7 installation.
  9. This is stupid also....for a card that is quite a bit slower than a 7900xt. Msrp for a 7900xt is $899
  10. I'm looking for a card for my new build. The last cards I've actually purchased...in order 1080ti ftw, 2070ti, Radeon VII, then got out of it, and back in with the current 6600xt. Last generation prices have not really come down either. If the 4070ti was anywhere near msrp, I may have thought hard about getting one.
  11. It's bull****, I've been purchasing from Newegg since they opened. They need to step up and do the right thing. $1000 from Newegg for a 4070ti???? seriously!
  12. This is so stupid.....I guess I chose the wrong time to get back into PC tech. Newegg is pissing me off, as I've noticed that with many of their gpu's, they allow up to 20 per order....so scalpers can purchase hundreds under different names, then resell them back on Newegg's site. Should always be a limit of 2!
  13. So the added FPS with ray tracing enabled is worth $200 extra? Every test I have seen the 4080 is quite a bit slower in rasterization than the xtx. Just curious, because ray tracing was really only a gimmick when first introduced, Has that changed? Does it make much of a difference?
  14. So answer me this..... If cryptodicking is really down, who TF is buying all the GPU's? Is it scalpers? If it is, are any of the retailers going to curtail this? This is stupid. Are the days gone when you felt you needed an upgrade, then going to your favorite reseller site, and buying on that day? At this rate, I may never get another card, unless it is a lower tier card. If its scalpers causing the shortage, this is worse than it was 4 years ago, at least you could find something at MSRP.
  15. At this point, all we can hope is the market gets over saturated to the point where sales drop enough to warrant a healthy price cut. Unfortunately this will probably coincide with a 2008 type housing crash that I think is looming on the horizon. Hopefully we can get some good deals this spring.
  16. What are you referring to when you say BB? I am assuming its Best Buy? Or is it something else? Just curious who has a 7900xtx in stock?
  17. Take it with a grain of salt....it is wccftech afterall. https://wccftech.com/nvidia-rtx-4070-ti-official-benchmarks-leak-out-as-fast-as-the-rtx-3090-ti-but-40-of-the-msrp/ ...and still overpriced! The article almost congratulates Nvidia for having a $799 upper mid tier card? Tying to normalize this crap??
