  1. The german site shows WWAN for one FullHD+ screen and that adds the WWAN card as well. Dell Precision 7670 40,64 cm (16") Mobile Workstation: Dell Workstations | Dell Deutschland
  2. Going from 16GB CAMM to 64GB CAMM adds 831,51€ while you get 64GB DDR5 SO-DIMM (2x 32GB) for under 400€. That tops the +600€ to go from 16GB to 64GB on the 5770 quite a bit. Not good when there is no competition selling CAMM modules 😞
  3. My 7740 throttles with anything less than the dual cable dock. I think that is the reason for the DC or DCS recommendation. I guess we would need updated USB-C hardware in the laptop for 240W USB-C power to work. So I doubt you would be able to make use of a newer dock wth 240W over one cable on older Precision laptops. There were several posts that you get a little less performance with just the DC dock powering the laptop (its 210 instead of 240W). Not sure if that is just measurable or noticable. Might depend on the workload when CPU and GPU max out.
  4. I think I found it in Windows logs > Application. But maybe its more related to this modern standby thing...
  5. Had that once on my 7740 and checked the Windows application event log to find an event that some device did not react properly to the suspend command. The name indicated the smart card reader. Restarting the smartcard service solved it for me. So maybe the eventlog has some helpful information for you as well?
  6. The Precision models typically have a "build your own" offer and the 7xxx models are pretty free about your combinations. Here in germany I can choose iGPU with a 4K display.
  7. Hi @Dell-Mano_G, will this become true for the Precision 5770 as well? I would like an i7-12800h or i9-12900h combined with the iGPU, but currently the i7 auto selects the A2000 and the i9 the A3000
  8. Sounds good for the 7xxx line. Can you say the same about the 5xxx line? I am interested in a 5770 as I would prefer 17" and 16:10 over 16" 16:10 or 17,3 16:9. With those small bezels I would even go for a 18" 16:10, which should fit my current 7740 backpack 🙂
  9. @Dell-Mano_G Do you see a chance that we get more options to combine faster CPUs with iGPUs or at least a low level entry GPU? As a developer I am looking for CPU, RAM and storage but GPU is not relevant. Convincing the management to get a higher i7 or i9 gets more and more difficult with the currently available combinations.
  10. Size seems to depend on the ammount of RAM when you follow Aarons link on pcworld. Even if it seems bigger than 128 in 4 sodimms, they will fit on one side of the motherboard, so easier to replace and less height is needed.
  11. 5770 is available in Germany. Only i5-12600H is available without dGPU. Going for an i7-12700H shows +7,73€ for the CPU and 611,06€ for the A2000 - hate that 😞 i9-12900H shows +38€ but if forces an A3000 with 12GB RAM (I really don't need that in any way) - so it goes to 3800€ instead of the base i5 with iGPU for 2000€. So at least 1000€ extra for a dGPU I do not want...
  12. My fingerprints were lost after the update. Had to reconfigure Windows Hello login. Besides from that everything worked smooth.
  13. This one claims to be 2mm in height up to 4 TB: X400 M2 SSD Power Pro | EMTEC (emtec-international.com) Emtec X400 SSD Power Pro 4TB ab € 543,00 (2022) | Preisvergleich Geizhals Deutschland (German "Abmessungen: 80x22x2mm) Hopefully some forum members show up with a 4TB m.2 in an XPS / Precision 5xxx
  14. Has anybody tried a 4TB Sabrent Rocket? If I understand the specs correctly it is double sided (Rocket 4 Plus | Sabrent). Height 3.6mm for 2, 4 and 8TB, only 1TB seems single sided. As I might switch to an XPS 17 / Precision 57x0 in the future - how about double sided m.2s in those models? I searched the new XPS online manuals, but they only say 2280 and 2230 - nothing about height or thickness.
  15. Yes, that might be the reason. They might try to reduce the number of different laptops and have the remaining models in more variations. So many different Latitude, Precision, XPS models in variations of 13.3 14, 15, 15.6 16, 17, 17.3 - and still not my preferred combination 🙂
  16. New BIOS 1.18.1 with support for Dell Dock HD22Q. What Dock could that be? Google does not know.
  17. Yes, 16:10 would be really nice. I am leaning to 57xx or XPS 17 but dislike that those do not offer a single USB-A which would force me to always carry a Dock or dongle as I prefer cable mouses which don't rely on battery and I have a little USB-A stick for data transfer of my good old Garmin Forerunner. That stick is so small,I always leave it in my 7740 to not loose it.
  18. Thank you so much for creating this new place! Yes, favicon would be nice. I miss the "mark read" button when in the thread list. I like to keep the Mobile Precision section clean to spot new posts easily. So now I have to open threads I do not follow closely to mark them read and then return to the thread list again.
