Cost savings has to be todays word. Pcworld's Senior editor may suggest that you swap out your high end pc and gears for an Chromebook. And your house/office will be much colder bro Fox. Same time get rid of one of your power hogs monitors. No need for that. And don't forget to dial down your PC’s performance to cool down further. Maybe castrate the power with 60% ? So double win for you. Colder office and loads of saved money😀 Maybe I as well should throw out all my tech gears and only use my old smarthphone? Can't be cheaper than that. But then I’ll have to power one of my electricity oven 😞 I can’t win in everything.

11 tech tips to beat heat waves and lower your electric bill

But don't fall for the temptation and go back to high end gears when the temperature becomes more livable when the winter come. That will only destroy some of the gains you got for free from Pcworlds head editor.

u might wanna drop the FCLK down to 2000. Mhz. i did extensive testing and found that u get a bandwidth and latency performance bump when keeping MT/s to FCLK ratio at 3:1. so 6000 to 2000 / 6200 to 2067 / 6400 to 2133 and so forth. other users i.e. on overclock.net found the same.

also, try to up both soc voltage to 1.25-1.30 and vddp to 1.15-1.18 to get more leeway for tightening timings. the rest is just elbow grease, tighten a timing, test with karhu/tm5/memtest86, find the tightest stable setting, move on to next timing, rinse and repeat...

Yep. ads more important than the product. But nothing can be worse than the CM custom product

Nothing is as good as the smell of a so called high end product.

As you can see bro @ryan Listening on the wrong people will never help you in the long run. And here I sit.... This is the opposite of what I have preached about. Maybe it's smarter listening on the good "old" guys? Never ever be an guinea pig. This will never serve you well.

But I expect fanboys or the stupids is not on my level/same side of the coin@Rage Set Maybe stupid is the new normal.... I don't know. as a footnote... I swap betwen all cables several times a week. I shold experience smoke every day.

This exactly. 👊

Keeping things within AMD's ratios even with promises of proper async performance still works optimal.

I moved back to AMD ratios over a month ago after realizing at best it was almost as good. At worst, it performed worse overall most of the time even if only marginally in pockets.

With the limited headroom we still have for most IMCs, you will almost always find tighter timings at 6000 > looser timings at 6200/6400.

I posted on this a bit ago with a video from Ancient Gameplays going into a basic overview of memory timings/tweaking/whys for AMD AM5 and DDR5.

With the added heat/tight environment of a laptop, I'm not a huge fan of upping the SOC but maybe in pockets for pure benching but not D2D.

Maybe? I find it difficult to conclude otherwise. There is certainly no shortage of it.

The question is, who will the stupid blame for their stupidity? I mean, it has to be somebody else's fault, right?

Will give that a go, thanks. I was originally on 2033. 2066 and 2100 were margin of error, then 2133 gave a nice boost.

Can't bump any voltages though, gets overriden by Asus on boot.

Temps are fine, I've got heatsinks on them. An overnight run of y-cruncher stress VST only hits 40-45C.

I know you could make it better 🙂

@electrosoft Will you still try out your CM adapter replacement or have you asked for the v1.1 ? And how smart.... A re-call would destroy profits and reputation @Rage Set Better send out an email with coupon code so you can get vr.1.1 for free. Cheaper as well.

What's the difference between stop sell it for now vs re-call? @ryan Do your math and you can clearly see whats going on in Papusan's head🙂

I don't see a huge problem. They have replaced GPUs that had melted connectors while using their adapters and have been a more honorable company than we usually see. Maybe they made a mistake in some manner, but at least they are owning it. I guarantee you we wouldn't see such honorable behavior from the likes of companies like Asus, MSI or Gigabyte. Asus has released far more defective trash than Cablemod has and they don't care how it turns out once they get your money.

You just described todays modern tech. But you can't fix stupid🙃 And I still honor honesty.

No, we can't fix it. Ignorance is temporary and easily cured by receiving information, but stupid is permanent. That guy probably would change his tune if his had melted. I think the issue is not plugging it in correctly as much as it not staying plugged in. I had no problems with mine, even with heavy overclocking. But, I did not want to have to babysit it and constantly check on it. It was easier to just live without it.

The real problem is that this custom adapter don't stay plugged in. It will wiggle out from the connector on the GPU pcb. More as a ticking Bomb🙂

And I'm afraid some will give away their top bin cards for the new castrated 1.070 versions due melt hell fix. So stupid can't be fixed. Neither, will it be recovered 😞

their next move will be RGB angled adaptors. We fixed the problem and added RGB

That will come later. Too expensive replace the old adapters for free with new and more blinky😇 Do your math bry ryan.... 100.000 free replacements with modern bling bling will cost them more🙂

And say hello to the new modern from Dell Alienware... New chassis design brings Alienware down to earth You want it bro Fox😬 Smaller has to be cuter? And halfway black. Are you tempted by the pretty  power button in an RGB Alien logo? Run and buy.... I mean run away and puke.

Alienware has chosen to produce a new chassis in mid-tower format. The transition to the new design not only gives users a smaller and more subtly designed box to have on the desk, but other benefits are added such as lower noise level and better cooling.

Ryan will this thing be your next pc? https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/alienware-aurora-r16

This all adds up to an atypically safe redesign for Alienware. It's one that's functional and will work for those Kids who simply want to buy a PC, boot up Steam or Epic Games and get started playing with powerful performance. But I hope Alienware's next design finally works on those internals, which are in dire need of a refresh.

And it offer fantastic cable management.... Dell's engineers should be proud of this. Yep, this has to be todays ot this months joke. And in "basalt" black. Not in real black bro @electrosoft😟

And here I am, looking for a way to push more voltage and more power through it, not limit it. I am not too worried about it. If it's plugged in correctly, and stays plugged in, it won't melt. The 4090 has never pulled as many watts as my 3090 Kingpin or shunt-modded 2080 Ti did. I don't understand why people think 500 to 600 watts is a lot. Heck, I pull that much with my 13900KS LOL. Really not a big deal. I guess the gamer kiddos don't know what they don't know. *smh*

Im pushing 450 just playing games and couldnt care less on my 3090.

Still need to get the 5800X3D so I can put the platform you sold to me back to its intended purpose of benching. Been eyeing my 4870x2, gtx 295, 2x 5970's a bit more lately. Just havent had the time and working in 110F warehouse is pretty draining.

650Ti Boost has been coming down in price finally so I might snag a couple of those for benching this winter
