Hopefully I can get one. If I can’t, I may very well waterblock my 4090, and use it in my build with new case/distro/etc and just keep it for a few years. I game for about 4-8 hours per week, and every time I play a game I think how fast this GPU is. But I know Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is coming soon. I want to be ready! Though the 4090 is probably good enough. NewEgg is now only offering $1350 for 4090 trade-ins and I don't think you can use trade-in to have in-store credit to use later. It has to be tied to a GPU purchase (literal trade-in) and the funds applied much like a post-sale partial refund or rebate after they receive and validate your trade-in. So, the idea of having the cash to pay for a X870E Apex from the previous trade-in credit doesn't look like it will work. As soon as 5090 releases I bet they will be offering only $800 or $1,000 trade-in value for a 4090. 1 1 WRAITH // Z790 Apex | 14900KS | 4090 Suprim X+Byksi Block | 48GB DDR5-8600 | Toughpower 1650W | MO-RA3 360 | Hailea HC-500A || O11D XL EVO (T-Rex) BANSHEE // X870E Carbon | 9950X | 4090 Gaming OC+Alphacool Block | 32GB DDR5-8200 | RM1200x SHIFT | XT45 1080 Nova || Antec C8 (Rhinoceros) SPECTRE // Z790i Edge | 13900KS | 3090 Ti FTW3 | 48GB DDR5-8200 | RM1000e | EK Nucleus CR360 Direct Die || Prime A21 (Rattlesnake) HALF-BREED // Precision 7720 | BGA CPU Filth | 32GB DDR4 | Quadro P5000 | 4K Display | Nothing to Write Home About (Turdbook) Mr. Fox YouTube Channel | Mr. Fox @ HWBOT The average response time for a 911 call is 10 minutes. I will wait and see. With the Norwegian tax I see $3500 on my calculator. Add a block on top and you'll see close to $4000. That's a lot of money for more fake frames. And this is not even for the flagship models. Custom RTX 5090, RTX 5080 listed for up to $2,800 and $1,400 overseas — initial pricing exceeds MSRP Maybe Nvidia will try make a shortage to push up the ASP. And the new 32GBb cards is good for AI work. Nvidia know their drill. NVIDIA RTX 50 will arrive in Spain in dribs and drabs, with retail limitations, AI-capped, and without multi-GPU Why is NVIDIA putting so few units into circulation? Is it waiting to see what AMD does? If so, could those who buy right away see the MSRP adjust in a few weeks when the Reds show off their hardware? Yup, you'll pay a lot extra for less than expected.... Not cool. Stepping up to pay for the best only to end up owning second best is no bueno. Of course it is a bit of a bad joke that this unique watercooled more modular laptop that also sports a good keyboard layout is limited to 16" and rather basic memory and drive options. Clevo is going back to making modular laptops again? Awesome! Or is that a Tongfang model? Laptops just keep pulling me back in. I can't get away from them because the allure of portability is impossible to resist. Having said that, I also don't have a tolerance for laptops that are not modular, so I wouldn't buy such machines anyway. It takes something special like this to pique my interest, and it piques my interest HARD! Let's hope we get a proper 18-19 inch DTR with that modularity + external water cooling. That'll be fun for benchmarks and awesome for max performance in an ultraportable form factor (yes I consider 18 inch laptops ultraportable). Speaking of which, I'll need that special water cooling heatsink for my X170 to perform an upgrade to the RTX 3080. That should be interesting. 1 AlienyHackbook: Alienware M17X R5 | i7-4930MX | GTX 1060 | 32GB DDR3L Kingston HyperX @ 2133 MHz CL 12 | MacOS Sierra 10.12.5 | Windows 10 LTSC | Hackintoshes Rule!
