I agree, but I see it as a "corporate world view" that is not limited to America. This is a worldwide problem with big business and China is the biggest offender. Although, American corporations should be an exception to the norm. We should expect them to rise above and be better than that.

Probably someone who thinks they know better than you and can score a cheap working CPU they can fix. Once they realize they can't, they will either request a refund or commit return fraud against a retailer. While that sounds cynical, I've stopped buying open boxes due to the latter reason.

welp i wish him all the best with that 😄 ive included clear, concise statements at three different spots in the offer (title, offer type / item condition, detailed description text) that the cpu is defective and its also clearly stated that there are no refunds 😛

I wonder what prices nvidia will put for an 5080@24GB Super cards. Maybe $1199? I don't think Nvidia will do the same as they did with 4080 Super prices. $999 for 24GB cards won't happen. At best maybe $1099,99

Thanks. It's a nice card but the prices is out of hands (not worth it). $2000 is already quite step for MSRP cards. Above $3000 is just disgusting.

 

The cheapest shop I can see the Astral LC OC cost $3122.91 without tax right now (13 in stock). So a price increase around $120 vs what I paid.

 

Fantastic 4K results from the new ++$3000 graphics cards... RTX 4090 Is the First True 8K Gaming GPU According to Benchmarks...

 

 

Just the start. 99% of all hardware manufacturers in Asia won't move over to US. They will rather move to other regions in Asia where they can avoid the highest tariffs. See you as damn lucky if you only get 10-15% higher prices. This before you count in the increasing infation that will start hunt you again due the tariff war. Cheapest is not to buy anything the next years. The saved money can be used etc to pay for higher priced food.

The US is running out of HYTE PC cases due to tariffs: they will have to wait for production in Vietnam or Thailand.

Hummm, pretty sure it was close to it at the time as the cpu was $2000 when it came out. And this would have been about 6 months from that time.

I agree when it comes to WoW and especially FO76 where Nvidia rules the roost.

 

3080 10gb has just been an absolute workhorse beast. It is quickly headed to the 1080ti goated status at its original MSRP.

 

Some games shine better on AMD than Nvidia. WoW loves Nvidia and always has since the major engine overhaul several years ago when they added in RT support. From that point on, the smart play has always been to get Nvidia for WoW.

 

One thing I will give the 9070xt and I can't put my finger on it yet is its smooth, even play at lower fps vs the 5080 or even 5090 in WoW. Spots where I felt like the 5080 chunked a bit the 9070xt just keeps it moving even in raids or outdoor events.

 

In Testing Games comparison of the 9070xt vs anything, its FT graphs are always much smoother than I've ever seen from AMD cards.

 

I played quite a bit of Fallout 76 earlier (found a new testing spot), and even when fps drops to the low 60s on the 9070xt, it was just so smooth. Having logged hundreds of hours on Nvidia cards on both WoW and FO76 for a few years including the 5080 FE and 5090 since January, the consistency and smoothness of the 9070xt really stands out at the same settings at lower frame rates than Nvidia and it is perplexing.

"The best overall 5090 for 90% of people is the 5090 FE" - makes total sense.

 

Sad to see Canada also is paying some insane prices for 5090's too along with low to no stock levels but price conversion wise, USA is just getting raked across the coals right now compared to former countries we routinely had lower prices for years. 😞

 

And like he said, 600w will have you having SWAS (Sweaty *ss) in a small computer room sooner than later..... 🤣

Nice seeing the tiny trash connector on the Zotac card run hotter than the GPU cores😁 And with uneven power balancing bethween the pins the connector will surely run even hotter. At 100C you can start fry eggs on the backplate for that card.
