I’m picky and like to change things too often, and I haven’t wanted to go back to a test bench or any other options and I’m surprised by that. I’ve learned a little since going back to a case. Mainly that I never really loved white cases and white accessories at all. The biggest advantage is because it completely hides dust. The fans, case, and radiators, and PSU always look clean and new. This way you’re not wanting to tear your system apart for a deep clean every year. 😆 Having my Praxis Wetbench was always a constant temptation. I built systems that I didn't need more than once just because I had it and liked it so much that it made me sad to not be using it, so I sold it to remove the temptation. I prefer an open bench for convenience but don't like it for dust and aesthetics. I could clean it to the point of being virtually spotless and immaculate, and in less than an hour it would be covered with desert dust. I love huge cases, but I don't like how much space they take up in my tiny office. If I had a big home office I would have the biggest cases. The O11D XL EVO cases are a good balance. I wish they were a little bit bigger, but they are large enough that I don't hate them because of everything being overly cramped and cluttered looking. If I were going to replace my O11D XL EVO cases with something else I think I would go with a Corsair Obsidian 1000D or 9000D Airflow. They are both massive and look great. They are the same exterior dimensions, so I would have to decide which one I think looks nicer. They are just a little bit larger than the V3000 Plus... length and width almost the same, but about 30MM wider than the V3000 Plus. It doesn't need to be good RAM. It doesn't need to be fast or good at overclocking. It merely needs to be a shiny object. Good catch on the typo correction. It was too small for a decent custom loop to fit inside of it and I ended up not liking it enough to keep it because it was too small. Sad to hear they started cutting corners. Corsair has some really good products, but some of their stuff is totally junk. Not very consistent. I honestly can't see myself doing anything other than sticking with the two O11D XL Evo cases that I already have. It wouldn't work for a big mobo like the one you have but for my two current ATX builds is just about right overall. I'd like it better if it were about an inch or two taller at both ends of the motherboard tray and and about an inch or so wider between the motherboard tray and glass side panel. That would make it close to being perfect but I can't remember the last time I owned any computer component that I actually viewed as being perfect or a completely satisfying product. jaybee83
waddhup boiiiiiiz Soooo as mentioned before, Ive now pimped our home network up from a crappy ISP Wifi5 router to a Wifi 7 Mesh router by Cudy (WR11000 / BE11000), hadnt heard of that brand before but they seem to be on the up and up recently: While at it, I figured why not use the opportunity and also swap out my Wifi card from the Intel 210ax with Wifi6E to a Qualcomm QCNCM865 Wifi7 M.2 Adapter: until I realized that i need to FRIGGIN TAKE OUT THE WHOLE MOTHERBOARD in order to remove the VRM heatsinks via screws on the back to get to the Wifi module omg... so THEN i figured: F it, if im gonna disassemble my whole build, might as well upgrade the case, fans and the AIO while im at it, clean all the components that will stay the same and start out FRESH 😄 soooo, case first, im sticking to Phanteks and switching over to the NV9 MKII, absolute unit of a case, even larger than my current Enthoo Pro II (going from approx. 77L to 99L total volume LOL): reasons why I chose this case: - welp, SIZE obviously 😄 also looking forward to having more space for cable management on the back vs. my current Enthoo Pro II - motherboard located quite low in the case, so lots of space up top to move my current front AIO to the top - more glass to see inside - moving to all 140mm fans, currently still have 3x120mm at the bottom while im at it, also gonna get the light strips upgrade kit for the case, bling it out some more: next up, CPU AIO, sticking with Arctic but moving from my current 420 LFII to the 420 LFIII Pro. Apparently, the "pro" moniker in this context means that the fans have been upgraded, thus higher static pressure and higher air flow: ill be keeping my Noctua NF-A14 Industrial-PPC 3000rpm for push/pull on the AIO and use the included AIO fans as case fans instead. Also gonna get another 6 Arctic P14 Pro fans to deck out the NV9 MKII: theyre actually pretty impressive specwise, with 187m³/h air flow and 5.2 mm H2O static pressure. This with 6 years warranty and at 30€ for a 3-pack. so basically 10 bucks per fan, nice 🙂 Lets see how long this transplant will take, I wager itll likely take me a full week of late nights after my lil princess has gone to bed to make this happen. it will sure be fun though! Final verdict: "Too many points of failure" "Stick to something traditional" I'm trying to figure out how the card was damaged to that point. They said UPS damaged it, but the way its designed no way the core comes away like that without zero damage anywhere on the outside and zero damage on the PCIe external connector but clearly bent/damaged pins on the internal mating and core contact damage. My guess is someone messed up blocking it and/or trying to reapply LM. Hence the need for the trolley table that can handle 200KG😀 Thermal Grizzly launches ASUS RTX 5090 GPU waterblock, costs more than RTX 5070 graphics card Well over $650 USD here home🙄 And here is AMD's fine wine....😀 And probably why Nvidia deleted the Hot spot sensor for 5000 series. RMA within warranty period cost money🤔 The AMD RX 6900 XT and RX 6800 XT are dying after several years of use due to excessive temperature in their Hot Spot. It’s shipping weight that Corsair list on the website for some reason I am not sure why manufactures do this with PC cases.. Corsair 1000= 29.5kg empty or 65lbs empty. 1 1 13900KF
Rage Set
What's up everyone! I am sorry I have been away for awhile. I am trying my hand at YT and hopefully build a large enough following to get sponsored by a CNC maker or continue to build my reserve to buy one. I haven't had the urge to upgrade any of my PC's to the latest and greatest (although I am thinking about the 9950X3D). I came across some local listings on a 5090, that weren't exactly deals (used, still above MSRP). The days of great used hardware prices are dead - people want 80 to 110% of their purchase price, and with new cards closing in on their MSRP's, I don't know who is buying used at these prices. I think that if Intel releases the B770 and it's under $400, I'll pounce on that card. I only need something good enough for video editing and CAD. I hope you and your families are doing well. I'm back here fully, doing my normal lurking. 1 4 A Change Is Gonna Come

Outside of the people here, I really don't have anyone to talk shop (tech) with. Some nights, I get the itch to overclock something, but my 14900KS desktop lies dormant. I am sure if I had a big boy GPU, I would have an excuse to do it. And here I thought 3D printers would be a laid-back adventure, haha - far from it. I have my eye on this - Carvera Desktop CNC machine. It's a little pricey, but it is basically three 5090's, 🤣 I want to design and make my own CPU/GPU blocks. Anyway, I'll be around. 3 A Change Is Gonna Come

I'd love to get into something like that if I had to money and space for the equipment. As far as overclocking goes, you're not missing much. The idiots that design and manufacturer PC components are ruining everything for overclocking enthusiasts. Pretty much because they are all incompetent dumba$$es that survive by clever deceptive marketing and gaslighting the crap out of consumers. Most of what is produced now is locked down trash or overpriced unusable junk. What I mean but "unusable" is (for example) an enthusiast motherboard with a CPU socket that all of the CPUs that fit in it are trash that suck at overclocking, or the imbeciles that made it ruined something that could have otherwise been great by adding two extra memory slots that eff-it-up. And, any hardwware that is not dog crap becomes worthless garbage because its gonads are crushed by cancer firmware. They should all feel very grateful that I am not the one that gets to decide their fate. The story wouldn't have a happy ending for any of them. 1 Master // AORUS X870E Master | 9950X | 4090 Suprim | 48GB DDR5-8200 | GF3 1650W | Triple 360 Loop | Hailea HC-500A || O11D XL EVO (T-Rex) Blaster // STRIX X870E-E Gaming WiFi | 9950X | 5090 Solid OC | 48GB DDR5-8200 | Edge 1300W | Dual 360 Loop || O11D XL EVO (Rhinoceros) Meh!! // Precision 7720 | BGA CPU Filth | Quadro P5000 | 4K Display | $500 Refurb | Nothing to Write Home About (Turdbook) Mr. Fox YouTube Channel | Mr. Fox @ HWBOT The average response time for a 911 call is 10 minutes. Reciever
So I finally have a formal staycation lined up for christmas time, first time in maybe 6 years...So naturally I have some work lined up lol 2x GTX 690 w/ accelero xtreme 1x ATi HD 5870 w/ accelero xtreme 2x GTX 280's (1x w/ accelero xtreme) 2x 9800 GTX's w/ accelero xtreme (Having to modify, doesnt line up perfectly) 2x ATi HD 5970's (1x accelero xtreme) 1x AMD R9 280X TRI-X 1x AMD R9 390X TRI-X 1x ATi 4870x2 Reference 1x GTX 295 Dual PCB 1x GTX 970 MSi Gaming 1x RTX 3090Ti 1x 7900 XTX Red Devil (Never Finished) 1x GTX 1060 3GB (Reference) I might pick up a few more GPU's if the price is right. Thanks to @Mr. Fox's writeup I'll likely start to pick up some of the water cooling equipment so I can put the 7900 XTX and 10850K (also courtesy of The Fox!) under water and get a bench built around that next to my Daily Driver. Luckily I am still working more than I sleep so picking these parts up should be more than plausible... If you guys have any 3rd party heatsinks for older cards feel free to reach out, I seem to have a fascination with accelero xtremes :) 2 AM4-DD | 5800X3D @ 4.45Ghz | Red Devil 7900 XTX | 32GB DDR4 3200Mhz | 2TB NVME | Intel X710 DAC @ 10Gbps | 550w + 900w (GPU) | Win11 IoT UNRAID | 10850K @ 4.8Ghz | 16GB DDR4 4000Mhz | P1000 | 9300i-16P | Intel X520 DAC @ 20Gbps | 48TB HDD's | EVGA 1300w | Unraid GameStream | E5-2667v3 16c/32t | 64GB DDR4 2133Mhz | RTX 3090Ti | 3x 512GB | 925w + 900w (GPU) | Win11 IoT HomeLab (x2) | E5-2650v4 24c/48t | 128GB DDR4 2133Mhz | 2x2TB NVME / 2x1TB NVME / 2x2TB HDD | Proxmox Telegram / TS3 / Twitter 2700X to 5800X3D upgrade! Papusan
@Rage Set happy to see you again. Hope all is well🙂 Back to Norway from the summer vaccation. And back to rain and the fall. The dreaded dark is already here. But 12.5C in the days is better than 4-5C, isn't it? So back to depression I go🙁 Nvidia's China-exclusive RTX 6000D reportedly gets lukewarm reception in China due to hobbled performance — could leave Nvidia with huge backlog of unwanted GPUs Let e'm burn in with the overpriced cards that no one want. Let'm bleed money. Estimates by JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley suggest Nvidia may be on track to produce between 1.5 and 2 million of these GPUs before the end of the year, potentially leaving it sitting on a huge stack of unwanted cards. Only $1,119 USD. For 5070Ti. Disgusting. Asus can't stop maximice profits from stupid consumers/gamers. Amazon exclusive, LOL ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 5070 Ti 16GB GDDR7 Released – Amazon Exclusive ASUS has incorporated a range of reinforced electrical components, including TUF chokes, MOSFETs, and advanced 5K capacitors, engineered to sustain higher temperatures and provide greater stability than standard solutions. Its Amazon-exclusive release strategy underscores a targeted distribution model while providing gamers with a GPU optimized for stability, thermal management, and next-generation GDDR7 memory performance. If the stability is a problem with cheaper SKU's.... Why make cards that ain't stable? Here in Norway we have 5 years warranty. Some places even 7 years. Good luck A$$us if you cut down on quality&QC. There is something that called "payback" time. There is no place here you can offer/sell pure trash. Not here atleast🙂 Good luck greedy bastards! Our very good consumer laws will crush you. And that will help rest of the words consumers. Go back to the draw table and make products that will last 7 years. Or you'll lose money. Not this scam. God bless real consumer laws🙂 Modern times. Exactly how Jensen said... Pay more get more. "The Killer" ASUS ROG Z790 Apex Encore | 14900KS | 4090 HOF + 20 other graphics cards | 32GB DDR5 | Be Quiet!
