No, no matter what you do, 2x32GB at 3200MHz has never been possible on X170KM. On all DDR4 Clevo platforms in matter of fact, too much strain on the IMC.

So what is the best config? Should I just use 2667hz dual channels?

Hi!
Help deal with the problem!
The screen backlight does not work, the screen always shines at 100%.

The slider works and changes the value, but the screen brightness does not change, it always remains 100%.

Discrete card is selected in bios.
In general, there are several settings for this in the BIOS and I'm not very sure.
Can you recommend a bios user manual?

Best regards!

Hey Guys and Gals

Im looking into jumping back into the Clevo X170. I going to need a machine to travel and i dont want to get anything other then this things because of its upgrade and replacement.

I had a couple question. Is the SM-G the same chasis and the power bricks as the Km-G ? Im looking into a used one on Ebay. I saw one that had a 3070 with 10850k for 1500 USD.

Hello,

New here. I bought this model 2 years ago with a 3070 installed.

I would like to upgrade to an 3080, do you guys know:

1) Can I find those on eBay or best would be to ask the reseller that I bought it from have those or can order them?

Or is there a website that is specialized in this? There are quite a lot models of MxM graphic card and I understand that they are not compatible between manufacturers.

2) Is there also a 3080Ti that got released for Clevo models? I saw it in some laptops but it doesn't seem to have the same TDP

3) Is the removal and changing procedure a complicated one, can anything go wrong or can a good shop do this for me without any headaches?

3) Anyone interested in buying a 3070 if I decide to go for this? 🙂

Thanks.

Mine does this from time to time. I just reinstall Control Center app and it usually does the trick

Hey, I possibly will be selling my KM-G really soon. Nothing wrong, just need to go with something smaller for work travel.

Intel 11900K

RTX 3080

64Gb RAM @ 3000MHz CL19 I believe

2TB Western Digital Black SN850 as primary drive

2TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus for games and what not

4k 120Hz display - I installed this, I also have a 1080p screen that comes with as well.

Hybrid Air/Water Cooling Heatsink - can work on air or water

I have beefy heatsinks on both Hard drives as well.

External Water Cooling Pump/Reservoir

Brand New extra keyboard as spare

Unlocked Bios

Wifi 6E AX210 upgrade

With the water cooling and fans maxed, I have all CPU cores locked at 4.9GHz. I dont know much about OC so it may go higher.

Only thing wrong with it is the backlighting on the X key has a color not working but I have a full spare keyboard that comes with the sell. The Ethernet port quit working, not sure if it snagged or what as I travel quite frequently. I currently use a USB C to Ethernet adapter and I can provide that if needed. I swear I see faster internet speeds using this adapter than I ever did previously. Im thinking the solder joints on the motherboard came loose as I travel all over the world and this laptop has survived tons of airport security handling it as I carry it through checkpoints.

Not sure what this is worth at the moment but make me an offer. Id like to get $2500 out of it considering all the water cooling mods.

Does anyone know the size of the 2080 or 2080 Super GPU/chip?

What the paste gets would be interested.

Thanks!
