I have noticed after updates occasionally my sound volume is weaker and 'flat'.

However, if I open the Sound Blaster Connect app I use for Equalizer settings once after updating the sound returns to normal permanently. It's as if the profile I use for sound gets erased after some updates, but opening the app re-enables it. Not sure if this is helpful or if you also use a similar sound control app but hopefully worth mentioning.

I've messed with the settings after going through with @solidus1983 guide and my Sound Blaster Atlas doesn't seem to make any difference between profiles and the equalizer to what I am listening to.

Edit: definitely the software, tried it on another machine and it was enhanced.

I can have a gander over TeamViewer if you wish. Might be Windows has done a stupid update of driver in background.

my own sound blaster atlas has been useless for years now, doesn't even recognise the card itself

Did you install it all in right order.

1) Install Realtek Audio Driver

2) Reboot

3) Install SBX via the setup.bat

4) Reboot ?

Found that it's down to Windows update, it installs newer creative driver 2.9 and to 2.3.5.0 that causes the issue so you need to disable Windows driver updates then clean the drivers out and reinstall them.

To solve the issue myself i used wushowhide.diagcab selected both creative updates to hide them then removed all drivers and reinstalled them in order

1) Realtek UAD

2) Reboot

3) SBX via setup.bat

4) Reboot

Then it worked fine for me.

Sweet the instructions will be in the zip file and it includes not only how to flash bios with 2 sticks but also 4 sticks.

G1 is for 2 Sticks and G2 is for 4 sticks as your on EC 1.07.05 you don't need to update that, as thats the latest as far as i know. Hopefully the instructions will help you through the whole process. Once i have the link up for you it will be set to expire 4 days after.

can some one send me the biso and instructions running 128gb ram and i9 11th gen k , need help on what i should do to get the best configs ,

Does anyone else have an issue with Subwoofer, popping then cutting out??

Going to try reinstalling the Audio drivers, just happened to me two beats of bass then pop can cutout have to reboot to get it to work again for two beats before popping again.

As for power issue of uncontrolled shutdown, check SSD temps as that might cause system to shutdown uncontrolled. Else update the bios and ec if your not on the latest which is 1.07.08 bios and 1.07.04 for ec.

have issues of the sound blaster not working correctly as well sub and the audio WAY lower at times then my p870tm1 or p870km , the audio one day great next trash any thoughts

Easy enough, the instructions are in the Zip file, However to make it easier, simply remove 2 ram sticks before flashing the bios and flash the G2 version of the bios for 4 Stick systems. After the flashing is completed and you have gone back to Windows shutdown and then insert the 2 sticks you removed back in.

I am also running this XMG on my PCS system without issue and its seems stable been playing for 4 hours no shutdowns. Although will not be using the system much now as i will be working 40 hour weeks from now on.

Release notes from XMG

BIOS 1.07.09RTR: • Stability improvement: Remove "Above 4GB MMIOS BIOS Assignment" option from BIOS setup • Stability improvement: Remove "Intel Hyperthreading" option from BIOS setup • Stability improvement: Adjust TCC Offset value to from "2" to "5" (i.e. lower CPU Temp Target from 98°C to 95°C)

The previous 98°C CPU Temp Target caused some systems to sometimes suddenly shut down because the Intel CPU sometimes overshoots its own CPU Temp Target during heavy load

Hi everyone,

I have a problem would like to share with you. My Clevo X170KM is connected to a router with lan port 2.5gbs and my home has fiber connection 1gbs in download and 500mbs in upload (soon i will update it with 2.5gbs/500mbs).

If i leave the ethernet port in auto negotiation (the system got link to 2.5gbs) and run a speed test the upload speed is only 60mbs while the donwload speed is 900mbs.

But if i run the same speed test with the same server forcing the negotiation to 1gbs the upload reach the correct speed up to 470mbs and download keep same 900mbs.

I tried several speed test even using CLI of Ookla and i reinstal many time the driver of the network card (Intel Ethernet E3100 2.5 Gbps) but the problem is still there.

Anyone of you got the same problem?

How to solve it?

Works fine for me as well no issues, apart from Microsoft updating the SBX drivers and breaking atlas again.

To the guys with stability issues: did you use Win10 or 11?

I have a new server with i9-12900 and win11 as host-system. I have the same stability issues like the x170km-g. My old server with i7-4770S and win10 as host was stable over a few years.

Maybe its a Win11 issue...?!

That was weird... system shut itself down last night, first time in months (thx again Xmg).

Turned it on and it said there was no boot device. Put in the windows usb stick and told it to boot from that. It went into a boot loop.

Put in Efi shell stick and booted to that with no issue.

Put back the Windows stick and booted from that, it went into Windows instead. ? Maybe because I'm on Win11 and it's 10.

Took out the usb drive and rebooted and it worked fine. ??

No Windows update last night. Event Log said unexpected shutdown at 3am but no activity was logged around that time.

???

Keeping my fingers crossed.

i have a glitch where i have some dim blue led lights on the keyboard when it does the led timeout... ideas?

Try messing around with the LEDs using OpenRGB: https://openrgb.org/

I was able to turn them off this way after some messing around. After shutting them off, restarting the laptop may fix your problem.
