My custom M4800

This is my daily driver, it went through alot of stuff, I never used a laptop as a daily driver before.
I've got it for cheap (200€), because the seller was open about damage that this laptop has (it is mostly cosmetic).
Original configuration:

i7-4800MQ
AMD FirePro M5100
16 GB 1600 mHz Hynix
512 GB LiteOn IT LCS-512M6S SSD
Dell 330W XM3C3 PSU

My upgrades:

AMD FirePro M5100 --> NVIDIA Quadro T1000
16 GB 1600 mHz Hynix --> 32 GB 1866 mHz G.Skill RipJaws (I will definitely overclock it at one point)
DVD --> Samsung EVO 860
Original SSD --> Samsung EVO 870

I have replaced DVD with SATA caddy, so I have two SATA SSDs. I've placed LCS-512M6S in caddy and dropped in Samsung EVO 860 in a place of an old one. I have also replaced a dead battery with a 97 WH battery. I've dremeled out a small piece of frame to have access to BIOS chips without disassembly, this helped me remove Intel ME, almost completely + I have unlocked SPD write capabilities.

UPDATE 1#:
Replaced original SSD with Samsung EVO 870, 860 went into DVD ODD slot

UPDATE 2#:
JAPANESE KEYBOARD

UPDATE 3#:
Replaced default AVC CPU fan with a Delta fan

You did one hell of a good job getting it back together working. 🙂 You can bung in an mSATA for a third storage medium if you desired. Although mSATA has become a little harder to get but I have a Kingston 240GB in mine.

That's a great idea, I agree, hopefully I will manage to find LA-9772P motherboard one day, because it is a budget build, I think the best way is to find someone who has a broken laptop, so I can get it for cheap (to rock that 120 Hz GSYNC display). I also think about replacing fans with some Delta fans.
