PNY Nvidia RTX A4500 mxm

Keep me in the loop with this. 🙂 My last upgrade to P4200 worked nicely in my aging P177SM. I suspect any semi-standard MXM card will work in my system.

Using pro RTX card instead of GeForce probably also gets around NVIDIA's mining limiter, huh...?

(Second thought — Don't think it applies to the Turing generation anyway...)

Are you in the US? I can probably get you one but you'd have to be serious about it. It's pricey, I have one pre-ordered.

What kind of Pricey do you mean? Is the option open to others?

Try contacting ADLink & Aetina and see if they will sell for you and price. I want to see if they just charge people randomly or it's a set price.

I'll do this to see.  I can't commit anything without knowing cost and considering that.  It is a shame that we have all these Paper-launched MXM cards that could do people good, but are either not available to consumers or cost as much as 3 new laptops.

Can I not mention a company, They usually want to know what company you work for or at. If I can say "I would preffer not to mention a company due to" some reason. Although I am on PNY notification list.

So anyway         Thanks for contacting ADLINK!

I missed the phone call, from Calif. Called it back no answer. I was going to give a song and dance to see if they might work with unusual circumstances because I dont work for any Tech companies.  So should I put another request in, same info? Dont want to stand out

Seems like someone in the forums has privilege to edit other people's posts, because the post was on-topic and not just disjointed gibberish.  No amount of password changing is gonna stop that from happening.

that was more towards ur account having been accessed to edit your previous post, thats why i suggested changing ur password 😋 but true, in theory a mod or admin account with post editing privileges might have also been hacked, alternatively. but i would start with securing your own account first.

... But then, what is the likelihood that someone used my compromised account to post an update they got from the specific MXM GPU manufacturer we are discussing in this thread?  Is this a hacker that just happens to care about upgradeable laptop parts?  Or did someone misclick when replying and have privilege they are unaware of?

I mean, I changed my password, but I'm fairly certain someone posting within the thread edited my post.

I made that post, but have no clue how it got posted on toastofman's post. It is very strange! But it goes to show you should not be held accountable or responsible in a court of law what happens on the WEB!!!

@Reciever

Could the posts have been back-to-back and then merged by a mod?  I know that mods will sometimes merge back-to-back posts by the same user that occur in a short timeframe.  In this case it is not the same user, but I guess @toastofman and @aldarxt have "default avatars" of similar colors so maybe someone was just not looking closely .......?

Maybe @aldarxt actually did double post (I see another post from him right there) and a mod wanted to merge his two posts, but accidentally selected just one of his posts along with the post from @toastofman instead.

Everyone is accountable, even myself.

Its very possible and likely that the error is mine, however I havent been able to find the means to confirm that definitively, or at least in terms of what I am looking for. As mentioned before any and all changes are registered, logged and unable to be deleted. As even deleted posts are held in another location for documentation purposes.

Apologies in advance

got it, sounds the most logical, the mod tried to merge my double post in reply to @toastofman  and didn't merge completely. Really looks like a hiccup. lol
