Gasciotto
BTW with respect to your panel options, if you can borrow an external monitor, why don't you test the temperatures of your 3080 with it before taking your decision? If you see that the temperatures stay cool on it go for the 1440p. I know that this plan has to have a fault somewhere (I don't know where though), but this is the only idea that came into my mind. Hope it is feasible Clevo P870DM3-G I9-9900KF GTX 1080 16MB 250 GB Ssd Evo 850 + 1TB Nvme Evo

(yes big heatsink mod required) and 2070 for 320€ i have a fhd 60hrz panel that started to do the dirty black cloudy spot inside the edge of it. my problem is: keep 1080p and go 144hrz, or go 1440p 144hrz ? running most of the game with vsync keep my gpu muich cooler , and probably that's why my 1070 survided safe for 4 years without any problem even in summer time. gaming now with 3080 with vsync give me max temp of 70° 😄; temperature that rise up to 87° if i use 100% gpu. also changing edp cable means to complete disassembly the notebook.... Pls share with us where did u seen 3070 for like 350€ ? Links, anything? I remembered that some on NBR said that the vc is the same, and on eBay I found some vc on sale labeled as DM3/KM like if it is the same for both models. So I'm fairly confident that if you can fit a RTX in a KM you can do that also in a DM3. Not 100% confident, but a solid 95%. Currently I have a 1080, I am aware it might not be a massive jump forward, but right now a RTX 2080 is the best I can get from my limited mod skills, and if I manage to sell afterwards my 1080 I might get back part of the money spent, keeping the mod relatively cheap. As for those I have 700€ piled up so far. I've seen a couple of them at about that price, but I hope prices will go down soon. Personal gaming experience (I'll keep it short in order to not go off topic) : I've always tried to keep GPU cool, had previously a I7-7700k, temperatures always around 70C° @ 60FPS. After the Dsanke Bios mod and upgrade to i9-9900kf (with delidding and undervolt) same game (I really can't explain how) runs at low 60° (like 62,63), so now I increased to 70FPS to see if it manages it well, and for some reason it does. Dunno if it was the last repaste or whatever, but it stays in low 60°. In your case with a 3080 I would go for the 1440p, but I understand your concerns about keeping your GPU as cool as possible. BTW I'm the least knowledged user here so feel free to disregard my tips.😅 You can even put the aliexpress heatsink for the TM inside, it will work just fine. 1 Desktop - MSI X670E Tomahawk Wifi (cheap Ebay mobo that I fixed) | AMD 7800X3D | 32 GB Trident Z5 Neo RGB 6000Mhz | MSI RTX 4070TI Suprim X | Alienware 27 AW2724DM 2K 165 Hz Gsync | Samsung 990 Pro Nvme - Boot | Other various storage | Windows 10 Pro x64 SOLD - Clevo P870DM-G | i9-9700K 4.5 Ghz on all cores (-50 mv undervolted) | 32GB Hyper X Black 2666MHz | Clevo RTX 2080 3.1b undervolted for better temp 1905Mhz @881 mv | AUO B173HAN03.1 144hz Gsync | Samsung 980 NVME | Dsanke TM BIOS - Chujoi13 adapted based on needs | Network Card: Intel AX210-AX | Windows 10 Pro x64

This radiator is made to order. I ordered several more of these radiators for my clients. So, in principle, you can solve the issue with the order if someone needs it. But write it in a personal. I used the search in the branches but did not find a separate topic of Clevo p870 owners, which is very strange, because this is a fairly popular line of Clevo laptops.
