hi, by rtx 3080 support i have rtx support now and my 3080 works, but i have to mod inf driver each time.

iahve dedicated programmer, but flashing with that mean take apart whole notebook and i dont want to do it now. i  have flashed bios like 5 times always with fpt procedure.

why i cant flash it with that way ?

ps: looking for viktor heatsink reply ... where are u man ?

If you have to install inf driver means you do not have proper bios support.

Also flashing a custom unsigned bios without a programer could result in a no boot black screen.

If you want a proper way to do it easy, follow my tutorial here.

solder an adapter on that notebook mean disassembly it  and  if i can skip that part is much better, so today i got the power to try flashing the bios , and in case of disaster, my steam deck was ready with programmer 😄

i used the fpt  flash with viktor modded bios and  all went super ok 😄

tried installing driver from latest nvidia driver file from nvidia site and all is perfectly working.

best part was i didnt need to disassemble the notebook 🙂

now the last think i need to do is clean the cloudy inside lcd ..... so boring

big tnx to everyone who helped me

Good job! Did you flash the whole BIOS file or only the BIOS region with flash fpt?

Hi I just bought a clevo p870tm1-g and I'm trying to find a unlocked bios so i up grade to rtx30 series also I'm having trouble finding the back lit keyboard software if I get some help with that

Hi,

you can use a modded bios from Dsanke or Prema made something for it in the past! But basically the original bios is good enough and the RTX30xx series runs without problems with this bios. I do not know why most people think you need a modified bios for the RTX30xx series!:-) Now you just need to modify the hardware accordingly. so the heatsinks etc...My heatsinks reach 53 degrees in full load and highest performance with RTX3080 in most games. The Vapourchamber offers the best air cooling. The RTX3070 in P870TM generate 50 Degree at full Load gaming performance...
You can also see in my last test in comparison with the RTX4080/4090 that the RTX3080 is partly faster! I don't know why people want to get the latest laptops! My P870TM is in UHD 120/144 RTX 3080 / 9900KS still faster in pure gaming performance than latest Lapops:-)

Look in the main post of ViktorV P870tm. There you can find the gaming test

problem with the vapor chamber is that it's not available  at all and at low costs. originally the normal one with gpu heatsink only was 150€  new, while the gpu+ cpu plate was 180€ new. now i cant find it cheap and cant find any tutorial to make it suitable for the 3080.

Yes, that's a problem with availability! Corona has also increased inflation and with it everything old prices! The days of cheap are over and you really have to spend more than before! With appropriate adapters it is possible to make the Vapourchamber compatible with the RTX30xx series...
