Unique and Uncommon Desktop GPU's

Good Evening everyone,

So having just made a few purchases for the purposes of nostalgia and humble submissions at HWBOT for Team @PremaMod, I had attempted to look around a bit for those odd or uncommon GPU's that we may have wanted but for w/e reason never pulled that trigger.

I'd like to make a list of them and perhaps make a short article for the forum based on that :)

Anyhow, feel free to list anything you thought or know to be uncommon, Unique GPU's!

To start things off:

Sapphire 4850X2

EVGA GTX 460 2WIN

EVGA GTX 560Ti 2WIN

KFA2 GTX 460 Wireless HD

Galax Single slot GTX 470

Asus Ares I/II/III (5870x2/7970x2/390X x2)

GTX 295 Dual PCB

9800GX2 Dual PCB

While common "at the time" the Dual PCB design of the GTX 295 and 9800GX2 are over time becoming less and less common.

Galax GTX 1070 Katana (Single slot)

Gigabyte WaterForce 3x 980 SLI

Asus Mars I/II/III (295x2/GTX 580x2/GTX 680x2)

ATi HD 5950

PowerColor Devil13 390x2

Although not really unique, the first real GPU I ever got to use was a Voodoo 2 by 3dfx on a friends computer.  It was amazing and Unreal, literally Unreal because that's the first game we played that supported it.

Indeed, looks like an interesting option for certain business use cases, or could be nice even for a HTPC like he mentioned in the vid.

Yeah, Descent must have been the first 3D one for me too. Or maybe a racing game called "Big Red Racing" if anyone remembers that. Crazy fun! 😃

This was one of my favorites back in the day....

Falcon_PC_Screenshot_03.jpg

I am a PONG baby.  So I remember before PC gaming was even a thing.  Had a realistic PONG game which was the CHIT back in the day and graduated to a TRS 80 before getting my first pc for games like falcon, and all the game show video games.

As for the video cards I remember wanting to get a colorpower gforce card that had a big gold heatpipe cooler that used to hang off the side, but can't remember the number to find a picture, it's fan had blue leds too.  After that was the 9800 All in wonder card.
