Clevo P775TM1-G SSD not seen anymore :(

I don't know why but I am wondering if both of your RTX 2080 are fine. @cylix@razor0601c

What if for both of you the 2080 just died and that's how the motherboard acts when no GPU is connected?

Did anyone tried a different GPU?

I wish I could dissasemble mine and check if the motherboard acts same without GPU connected. But I can't because I moved countries and now even such things like good thermal paste will be expensive or just simply unavailable for me😥

I do plan to open mine up eventually, but not at the moment.

Obviously, it's highly unlikely but you never know!

When you start without a video card installed, there will be a black screen, but the laptop will boot into the system and after a while, due to the fact that there will be no information about the status of the card, its temperature, the laptop will go into emergency mode with maximum cooler speeds and turn off. When starting with a faulty video card, there can be 3 scenarios: 1) The laptop will boot into the system and give a picture, but when you try to install the driver, artifacts and error 31 or 43 will appear. 2) The laptop will boot with a black screen and will work normally without displaying images on the display, does not go into emergency mode. 3) When you press the power button, the laptop briefly flashes the LED and immediately turns off, this behavior is typical when there is a short circuit on the video card or any other equipment. Also, similar behavior can be with a damaged BIOS chip or a damaged BIOS file structure.

I didnt try any other GPU, dont have any around, but i dont think th gpu is Dead, didnt experience any problems with it, no artefacts bsod prior. Also it ran cool everyday and guys from the service repair shop didnt find anything wrong with it aswell.

Also why i think is the mainboard is because of the first symptom that i got was the complete failure of one of the SSD Sata ports, it was like it got fried. Didnt recognize any SSD that was inserted inside and i used 3 different ones.

Also i tested all for 4 ram sticks and CPU in another system. All is working fine.

I would try a different GPU aswell or mine in another Barbone but i dont konw anyone around me with a clevo system 😑.

In your video "Clevo p775tm1-g only cpu" I just now noticed a strange behavior of the power and battery indicators. Time code 2:08-2:12. It turns out that during startup the indicators do not light up and this is very strange. What parts are installed in this video? If you started only with the processor installed and without RAM and disks, then try starting the laptop without a video card, but with one RAM bar installed, a processor and a disk with Windows. Make a video and post it, it's interesting to see if the behavior changes. Also try starting without a battery installed, powered only by the laptop's power supply.

It‘s not the GPU. I tested 3 different GPU‘s in my faulty Mainboard.
