Star Wars outlaws runs AMAZING on day 1 launch! Full 4K tilt, the 4090 power doesn’t disappoint here. 4K Ultra everything, Motion blur on, film grain on, Nvidia RTX Direct Ray Traced lighting on Ultra, Ray Reconstruction ON, DLSS Quality+ FG. There were a couple of extra advanced graphical settings that I enabled or turned up, that aren’t enabled with the normal “Ultra” graphical pre-set. Still holding 82-90 fps. Very very smooth performance so far, with full overblown detail here. GPU usage is pegged to 100%. Not bad for a free game! The graphics are beautiful by the way! PS: The game is using 20GB of my GPU GDDR6X VRAM currently!! 😆 Absolutely BUTTER smooth though. Not a single skip/pop/stutter. 14900KS/DDR5 8600c36/4090 getting it done upload images -

It was a free $70 dollar game. I can’t complain no matter how bad it is lol. Something to max the graphics on, something to poke around while I pout over Wukong Black Myth being to hard for me lol. I know one game that I just could not dig at all, and that was “Skull N Bones” another Ubisoft title. I didn’t see the appeal at all. So rushed. The character animations do like 3 things and they just repeat those over and over. It makes the game feel really cheap and rushed. 32 more minutes and StarWars Outlaws will be playable! -

Very tough game. Mainly because I don’t typically play games like this. But I like this game! Normally my fighting skill in games is clicking one button to just “Hit!” “Hit!” “hit!” Rinse and repeat 😂 this ga e requires some defense, skill and patience, and strategy to make it through. PS: Starwars Outlaws playable tonight at 12am on Ubisoft Connect. 😎 Intel gave me the game for free. Thanks Intel! -

I am stuck so hard in the Wukong Black Myth game. There is a boss fight that is nearly impossible to win. I have spent 4 days attempting to defeat this guy lol. I am going to have to put the game down. You must beat this Boss to proceed further in the game. Since I cannot defeat him, I cannot proceed. So, I feel like I am wasting my evenings for nothing 🤣Wukong is getting shelfed until further notice. -

Windows 11 24H2 performs really well. I'm too obsessed with performance as is. What CPU are you using anyways? -

My OS is getting a bit old as well. Mine is right at 8 months old. Probably dragging around a lot of extra processes and services. -

The minimum FPS is better. I could never finish Heaven with 61.8 min before. The max is also slightly better. I ran this test a gazillion times before updating Windows 11, and I never could hold 60+ min through the entire test before. This test is great for checking your GPU OC is stable and smooth on the frame times. Because any overclock too high on the GPU, will harm your minimum frame rate in Heaven. So, if you have a low min FPS in Heaven benchmark, your GPU OC is too high for it to manage smooth frame times. Anyways, here is before and after. Same everything besides new windows update. Both are on bios Z790 Apex A04 (9901) 8600c36-49-49-49-63 (262k tREFI) -

I have given up on it. I used to not update and stick to one old build. But it's always worse performance for me. I am going to test 24H2. I am going to assume it will probably provide a faster 14900KS. There is always a trade-off it seems. -

I am seeing some nice gains on 23H2 and 24H2 for the Ryzen guys. So I am trying this with my 14900KS system now. -

Yep absolutely! Plus you pretty much can’t kill one, so deleting and installing games is ideal. They can be written and erased. nearly and unlimited amount of times, it is exactly what they are designed for, handling some ridiculous amount of numbers and data in realtime all day long for 5+ years straight. They do use a lot of power compared to traditional storage. The P5800X uses about 20-25 watts of power. I have seen people use over 30 watts with a P5801X on the Chinese YouTube videos. They also get pretty warm when under load. Not like these little baby 2 watt M.2 drives we have 🤭 -

Honestly, even just a cheaper Optane 905P will probably fix it, people swear by them fixing the skips in games, just because how brutally fast that random access is and not relying on a cache to be fast. There is a video somewhere of a guy demonstrating this problem in “Kingdom Come deliverance” and some other game, one of the worst games for this loading issue. He was riding through on his horse and GPU usage was dropping like crazy using a regular M.2, while on the Optane it stayed steady and I think this was a much older Optane 900p, ever since seeing this I believed that it would fix the issue. I will order a 905p, and see if it fixes the problem. 😂 I’m going to just install the drive and copy the Black Myth game to it. Fingers crossed. I’m about 98% confident it won’t drop GPU usage anymore. If it does fix it with just a 905P which is only Gen3 NVME , I will dedicate getting a P5800X/P5801X (400/800gb) for just games I play 🙂 lol. Those are a little pricey though. But worth it if Xpoint really does resolve this. -

Thats amazing. I’m going to repaste my 4090 now for sure. 🙂 Maybe it’ll help it with overclocks a bit. I notice sometimes OC may be bad when contact isn’t always perfect. -

I received the Starwars Outlaws for free with my 14900KS, just waiting on its release! Wukong is really great though! Lots of detail, and it’s very fun, and super rewarding, you seriously appreciate the skills you work for that your human monkey receives lol . Put in about 2 hours and you get hooked. I am at 5.5 hours play time so far. Very fun! -

Guys, WuKong combat is so CHALLENGING!!! Not the actual game getting from point A to B. But, just the combat in between. So challenging that when you actually do get past something you’re screaming YESSSS!!!! Yesss!!!! lol. Because your last 4 attempts failed miserably. Sometimes it takes reassigning all your skill points just to beat a boss. I’m genuinely surprised I’m even playing something like this. 🤣 but it’s entertaining. Give it a go @electrosoft -

Yeah, I’m not that interested in gaming either. I want to be. But finding games that keep me engaged gets harder the older I get. But I have to keep trying. 🙂 Also, you need to try BeamNG. It’s amazing for those with little/no interest in gaming. Thats why I play, I don’t have the energy for anything other than driving backwards on the race track most days. 😂 -

99% of the time a mouse and keyboard is great, and I never advocate for a controller my self. But in racing games or sim racing like BeamNG/Forza we need fine throttle and clutch control. Unfortunately, our W button on the keyboard only has one mode for hitting the throttle at 0% gas or 100% gas (That’s how mine is anyways) When you want to rock crawl slowly up a hill without wheel spin on your big 44” tires that are almost completely flat with a V8 twin turbo truck in BeamNG, or drifting, or just general racing, it’s nice having variable throttle/clutch/steering inputs on an Xbox controller. But with this game the controller is only helpful for fighting. It’s a casual laid back experience for the most part, except for fighting a boss, then its edge of seat die over and over and over again until I finally beat the boss. While I understand how lethal mouse and keyboard can be, some games do not require aiming, if you just swing in the direction near an enemy, you’re in that hit box. Any game that requires aiming, you really need a mouse. If you played this, you’d know what I meant. It’s just easier. PS: I wish they made a keyboard with variable throttle. That would be cool! I play BeamNG all the time, and it is the best car game ever. It never gets old building a vehicle how you want, and then just doing whatever with it. -

The Wukong black myth is really good. 2nd time playing. This game is very rewarding so far. And the animations are amazing! Also, I highly recommend playing with a Xbox or PS5 controller. As for having top end hardware or not, if you are getting even 28fps, it feels like 60fps with a controller. I think that’s how the majority of people play this title, and it is highly liked. Technically I’m supposed to be working right now 😈 but yeah I’m over here play’n lol. -

Yeah, the problem is our random read/writes of even the fastest SSD drives available today, and our limited cache on them, once the cache is full the drives performance is done for, but mainly the random access or random streaming of data once the cache is full, the performance is comparable to that of a regular mechanical HDD read/write speeds. Maybe 70-150MBPS, whereas an Optane would still get like 800-900MBPS. Our consumer drives are crap 🥲 doesn’t need to be as fast as system ram for smooth experience though. -

All of the people who swear by the Intel Optanes say it alleviates these issue when games do this. In game loading objects and dropping GPU usage. So I need to just get one already. -

From the research I did on this, this is happening because of the random latency and access times of our modern Gen3/4/5 M.2 SSD’s. They are just terrible with random latency response times. I have seen that an Intel P5800X can completely alleviate the issue all together, which was why I kinda got all in to wanting to get one. But we’re talking about owning a crazy expensive 400GB/800GB Enterpise drives that would only hold a couple games and cost a lot of money. -

Hey everyone, I bought Wukong Black-Myth. The game is great so far! Running fully maxed out, and it is a very engaging game. The Steam reviews sold me on it. Usually, games aren't reviewed this well at launch, the reviews are as steam says: "Overwhelmingly positive" But it is fun so far. Story seems great! The 4090 strong arms it so I average about 80+ FPS at 4K DLSS Quality+FG with Cinematic graphics. Barely touches the CPU. The game has an issues at times where GPU usage drops for no reason from 99% to 95%. I was walking one time and it hit 89% when it was rendering a boss in the background, makes no sense because I am 100% GPU limited here, and it's using 6-10% of my CPU lol. But most of the time it is 99% GPU usage. But when this happens the 1% lows tank for a moment. They need to fix that. But I am just being picky here. -

People are really dumb @Mr. Fox I remember when the 11900K came out, still the largest IPC increase we ever saw with Intel to this day probably, and everyone trashed on the chip. Even though it delivered like 95% performance of 10/20 cores from the 10900K, while only using 8/16 cores in the 11900K. In games the 11900K was a real performer. These chips were very cool! I understand not everyone needed to upgrade, 10900K was already great. Since when is upgrading actually practical anyways though. If we own current gen, and next gen comes out, none of us “Need” to do it, it’s always a want. But it was just hated on so much. I mean, think about how stupid the 14900K is lol. Or even the 14900KS. The 13900K already does what either can do, and it was released almost 2 years ago. And here we all are just eating them up like sweet cakes. The thing is, the 11th Gen Intel was 20% faster IPC over 10th gen. It was almost like, since the 11th gen did not deliver some devastatingly powerful multithreaded blow to the 10900K, and since it had less threads, the chip was immediately no good and was marked DOA, and since everyone in the YouTube channel reviews said it was "NO GOOD" it was for sure "NO GOOD" The only thing good about it were the actual product reviews on Newegg and Amazon. So, this does lead to a "What the hell is actually is good scenario? and who is actually being honest here?" Everyone today only talks about IPC gains, and FPS gains, and gaming performance gains. But the Intel 11th Gen died and went down for being a waste of sand LITERALLY lol. How silly right? Another thing everyone talks about with Gaming rigs is the 7800X3D or Intel 14900KS. All of the AMD Fans will say the 7800X3D is the superior gaming chip. However, we all know the 14900KS will mop the floor with it in any real workloads lol. But no one seems to mention this.. 7800X3D gets a pass in that area. The 14900KS can more than double the 7800X3D's Cinebench score, but since the 14900KS uses double the power as well, it's just not acceptable whatsoever haha. I realize this makes no sense lol. With all of that ^ being said, I have learned that: One weakness is acceptable one minute, and another positive is looked right over the next minute, or vice versa. These reviewers determine if something is worthy regardless of what it may actually be. Whatever one person says, the other probably goes along with. I can see Intel 15th gen already. It has faster IPC, less threads than 14th gen, slightly slower or similar multithreaded performance to that of a 14900KS, (WAIT! This sounds familiar), but it will most likely be a "TOTAL WIN" It all depends on what reviewers say. They determine its fate lol. The only way to know if something is actually any good is to go and buy it, then we see if it’s good for our self lol. If it’s bad we just return it. We always do what we want anyways. -

These 14th gen KS chips have some super ring/caches on them for sure. Look at this 5.3Ghz ring, which doesn't even phase the vmin or power consumption. For a chip that is not delidded. This is absolutely fascinating! 5.9P/4.5E/4.5R-5.0R “Auto”DDR5 8600@ 308 watts. 5.9P.4.5E/5.3R DDR5 8600 @ 323 watts. This CPU amazes me with the IMC and ring capability. You can run 5.4 and 5.5 ring, and only then does it begin to push vmin a little. But, if you want to stabilize 4.9E with auto voltage, just pop your ring to 5.4Ghz 🤣 Then it adds just a wee bit more juice which makes 4.9E a reality, and a stable one. 14900KS is a beast, with lots of OC potential. -

What about these boutique XOC thermalpaste like KPx or Kryonaut Extreme maybe TFX? How does PTM7958 compare to these? I always notice large changes when swapping to a different paste.
