  1. Are you still planning to get a 5090? Did B&H send you notifications to buy a GPU?
  2. 800mv will boost 2.5Ghz+. We can essentially use idle voltage on a RTX 5090 FE for 4K gaming and maintain stock performance. It is pretty miraculous. Silicon seems to be very good for all 5090’s. And they don’t need all that much voltage. My current 0.895mv and 2.7Ghz is 5% faster than stock. I have grown to love this GPU the more I own it. Hopefully @Papusan will get that too. I’ll bet he will. Anyways, any good deals on 5090’s lately in your neck of the woods? I wish Nvidia wasn’t so stingy with the FE models. During GTC 2025 Nvidia had a “Nvidia Food Truck” parked outside of the event. And GTC ticket holders could buy from this truck. And this so called “Food Truck” was literally selling 5080/5090FE models for MSRP $999/$1999. Apparently the GTC tickets cost $1,125 USD for just 1 day at the event though lol. (Oh, and they had a limited number of these GPU’s I think #80 total 5090 FE’s, and probably double that in 5080 FE’s)
  3. RTX 5090FE 4K Gaming with an undervolt inside of a closed case. GPU Core= 60-62c Memory Max= 72c “Imagine adding a rear Fujipoly full coverage thermal pad thermal pad” 🤯🤯🤯 I’m going to add one. I have a brand new 3mm Ultra soft Fujipoly thermal pad that I was going to use on my 4090 once water blocked. But I think I’ll install this on my 5090FE now. 😁It already runs very cool though.
  4. RTX 5090’s are under-volting pretty well. Essentially, it’s up to silicon quality. You can’t really crash so easily with this generation. The card will run its max clock speed for that selected voltage and the GPU seems to have an idea of what that clock speed max for that set voltage should be, or at least on the newest drivers it seems like it knows. Definitely can bring power way down for a GPU that’s overkill in practically every game right out of the box (Especially 4K+200% upscaled to 8K. This GPU is a MONSTER for MS Flight Sim 8K, and the RTX4090 could already get it done at 50-60fps) So far, I have set a 2.9Ghz @0.900MV in MSI Afterburner and I shaved off 110 watts of power, and about 10c in temps. These cards use way more voltage stock than they really need. You’ve got to think we idle on the desktop around 0.800mv. So, we can almost apply the full stock boost clock speed of the RTX 5090 FE with nearly the idle voltage. Steel Nomad scored 14,500
  5. I heard that hard tubing stays crystal clear always, if that’s the case I’m just gonna leave it clear. I might get some Koolance 702 clear.
  6. It’s a beast of a GPU you’ve got. I get what you mean. I’ll never achieve the level of excitement I got when I was a teenager getting a new GPU lol. But, it’s a great card. 32GB VRAM, and lots of Cuda cores. Yours being a 360mm AIO, is gonna operate pretty quiet in gaming if that’s its intended purpose. They love to skimp these days, but it’s still a 5090 Astral. “Now you’re supposed to start drooling when you hold it 🤤” Also, I flushed my loop out! Back to clear. I may go to another color. Not that plum purple looking pink, which was supposed to be “RED” 😝 It took me 8+ gallons of distilled to flush it, and it still comes out with a very slight tint of color. I’m going to add (4) more Lian Li P28 fans to the front of the case. And, I’m done. I do want one of those EKWB 5090FE blocks though. That gets me excited!! I will say the Nvidia 5090FE is great so far. Especially for the LOW LOW price of only $2,125 after taxes 🤣 (Okay okay, seriously it’s a good card. It’s quiet, and it’s small, it runs cool. It’s very fast. Seems like they went with no fancy packaging at all. All the packaging is just basic brown/white cardboard board. That’s fine with me. The card feels like a small tank. It feels heavier than a 4090, but it’s actually lighter than one. I think it’s because it is more compressed. But, it’s stable and reliable and overclocks pretty good. So that counts for something! (Also I learned sometimes excitement can be delayed with PC parts)
  7. YUP!!! I’m gonna be more patient next gen. I was getting frustrated during this launch. But MSRP is the only way! I cannot afford AIB cards anymore 🤣 What an insane price!!! Wow. You’re very lucky to snag that beauty! Good find man!
  8. Was it a good deal? MSI 4090 Suprim is literally still top notch performance. You probably won’t have any trouble selling it for more than you paid. Thats some nice wire management on the backside. I really like it. I want to try a 9950X. May get one in the future here soon.
  9. That’s fantastic. Nice graphics cards!!! Since I gave away my sons 3060, we juiced his system up with a RTX 3090 Founders Edition! It blows his hair back now in 1440P now lol. He is 12, and this is his first “Real Man’s” graphic card. 😂 Sons Rig: 12900KS/Z790 LGA1700/ DDR5 6400c32/ RTX 3090 FE/ EVGA 1300P+
  10. Take a look at my RTX5090's memory bandwidth. I bet this thing handles 8K very well! GDDR7 is impressive.
  11. Yeah but your 4090 Suprim OC ran 3130 at 44c and 380 watts, and 1.100v. Huge difference. Look at the 5090 screenshot you just shared. That guy is at 48c@3.3Ghz, so you know I can’t hit 3,300 with FE lol. 😂 I do bounce off 3,300, but we’re talking split seconds here. I can’t sustain that. Too hot. I would assume TSE would provide less boost overclock. More power, more heat, less voltage, less clock. That’s typically how it does for me. PS: there’s a PNY 5090 RGB OC for $2,400 on oc.net forums!!! Really a great card.
  12. Definitely much better silicon than RTX 4090’s. We have more cuda cores. Higher temps. Lower voltage. And higher clocks!!! Was able to slowly push up to 3,150Mhz in game. On a hot air cooled GPU. The algorithm is a little different. And I really like it! Cant wait to mess with it more and potentially put it in watercooling in the future! What a great GPU. 😃 I imagine @Papusan is really gonna be able to push his well. The Astral liquid should run even cooler! Definitely think the RTX 5090 is excellent so far though. I’m currently pushing 3,127Mhz@1.000v, maybe because it’s just a better clocking card than my last 4090
  13. My RTX 5099FE will run 3,150Mhz or +475 on the core in games at 4K lol. Really amazing silicon and huge improvement over 4090 series. I’m not use to having good silicon on a graphics card. But this RTX 5090 FE is exactly that! Very good overclocker. It typically runs 2,730 stock. So being about to add an additional +420Mhz on top of that is fantastic!!!
  14. I was thinking.. (Yep 5090 definitely boost a little lower than 4090 stock 🥴) So, my 5090 has a little coil whine when you open the case door. But, I cannot hear coil whine in Superposition, or Furmark 4K, or Kingdom Come Deliverance II. I only hear it in the Indiana Jones game on Game Pass and it is barely noticeable with door open only. It has a very dull deep tone when you put your ear up to the GPU. It’s not a high pitch squeal. It’s perfectly acceptable to me. And so far no change in tone has been seen. So it just maintains that same deeper coil noise. So, yeah it’s definitely fine with me. I can’t do the low pitch coil whine that changes in pitch and sounds like a 5 Y/O little girl screaming.
  15. You know, I didn’t even realize it wasn’t running at normal clock speeds, I had some sort of driver bug or something weird happening. I installed the latest driver earlier that came out today, and my clocks shot up. So my video is totally off.
  16. The coolers on these 5090FE’s are very very good engineering, a complete marvel to me, I don’t know what all the fuss is about, I think my case is possibly amplifying its natural air flow. Running my 5090FE all stock and I’m at 67c right now 425 watts power draw. They also have some extremely good silicon on them. I’m Running something like +375 in raster games. This equates to an insane undervolt that provides sub 300 watt 4K gaming in KDC2. 🤯
  17. I think I’m all but done with Extreme overclocking and the whole XOC business. My next motherboard would be any (4) Dimm motherboard I do not mind if it’s 2 or 4 dimm slots. If I ever get the itch again, I have a chiller and a test bench. But I’m enjoying no noise inside a case for the first time in years. 🤯And It is really amazing. 🤩 I’m always still going to run custom cooling of course. Probably even sticking to hardline tubing as well. It’s pretty nice when setup correctly with easy maintenance in mind. My job has become really demanding. And in my free time I just like to game or spend time with my family. I popped in the 5090fe bone stock and went right at playing KDC II, I haven’t ran a single benchmark on it yet 😂
  18. I’m good lol. Haha. White case, white rads, white fans, white PSU. That’s it.. No more. Everything else can be black! I do love the look of the 4090 FE though. (Without the white) lol. @electrosoft I have not ran a case in YEARS anyways. The rear exhaust fan which is a Lian Li P28 blows out all of the 5090 FE’s hot air right out the case. It is very impressive. The case is massive so it doesn’t heat soak. Everything is working so well. It’s so quiet! 🥳I have all pumps on lowest RPM, all fans on 40% rpm.
  19. I think I’ll swap to the black MSI GPU cable. The white cable doesn’t quite fit looks wise. I agree. I love the build though! I have to agree with you with Founder Edition cards. I absolutely LOVE IT. I appreciate Nvidia hooking me up with this.
  20. ALL ROPs are present! This thing looks amazing in person. Draining the fluid for Koolance red 702 tomorrow.
  21. Man, that’s the top king 5090! And a great price too. Be about another +$1,100 more USD HERE FOR SURE. Great price. I just finished my build, I’m doing another leak test real quick just to be 100% certain this thing doesn’t leak. I got lazy and threw the flow meter, and filter on one single tube lol. It works! (Temporary coolant is distilled water+some primo chill mix stuff) (Gonna run for a bit, drain flush, then add Koolance 702 as permanent coolant) Time to add some distilled/pre treatment mix to circulate for a bit, then I will flush and add the permanent coolant after 24 hours running. I’m doing everything I can up front to make it ready for my future neglect. 😃
  22. FedEx showed up, but no 5090’s on the truck. Looked like an unmarked delivery van. Dang…Not looking good. EDIT: FedEx truck came back!!!
  23. The Aorus models are “Slightly nicer” than the Gigabyte models. Even though both are Gigabyte. It looks very nice to me though. I love those 3x8 pin power connectors. Great looking GPU! Are you building this in a case right?
  24. I honestly thought this was the EVERYTHING PC THREAD. 😃
