I’m playing a technical test preview of the game “Skull & Bones” it’s a Ubisoft game. Looks a bit like Far Cry with a Sea of Thieves vibe to it. If anyone wants to try it let me know, I can invite you! The game doesn’t launch until 03/2023, so it is still a very early preview. I’d share some Videos but it’s under their NDA still I don’t wanna get sued. It’s pretty nice looking so far though! -

MC has always been great. I remember back when the Intel i7 5960X Extreme Edition and X99 chipset was KING. They were $1,049 or so dollars on Newegg. And people were buying them for like $799.99 in Microcenters. And this was always the case with CPU’s. Very expensive processors were hundreds of dollars cheaper. And they would offer and additional -$50 off if you purchased a motherboard with a CPU. I’m going to start planning better on my own part. While I don’t have a MC near me, I could make the 4 hour drive for parts that I plan spending hundreds or thousands on and keeping for 1yr+ anyways. I’m gonna set aside funds throughout the year(s) and be ready for new hardware when it launches and just drive to a Micro Center. Then I’ll have it the same day, and save money. -

I have one that is a 4+ Hr drive away from me. I’m tempted to start using it though. It’s in Virginia. They actually have (2) in VA. I’m just surprised they don’t have any in NC. But yes the website is a lie. I think they do that on purpose. You can walk right in to those store and usually find what you need. If I drove to one I would walk out with a RTX4090 and probably some watercooling goodies. As well as a Bloated MC store credit card lol. -

I didn’t even know this stuff existed. Newegg apparently had it in stock on 10/20/22 all for $20 extra dollars too. Now I’m gonna go cry. My DDR5 7200 is obsolete before I even got it. 🥹 😂 -

I just realized.. My 13900K will be here tomorrow and I don’t even have any thermal paste. This is crazy..It’s not fun living in a small town area. PS: All I have is liquid metal. But I wasn’t prepared to destroy my IHS so soon. -

Yeah I’ll be overwhelmed here soon. Whole new platform change. I usually upgrade my CPU annually. I feel like the CPU’s are just coming too fast at this point though. Looking at Newegg history, I bought my 11900K in September of 2021. And my 13900K was purchased in September of 2022. Well, that’s only 1 year, where is the time to possibly even enjoy a 12900K? Anyways, you’ve got a great CPU to ride out on for years. And I had no idea Ryzen was given an SP rating. But they are made by TSMC which is nothing short but the best in the business when it comes to silicon. -

Wait.. The 7950X has a SP rating too?! Omg. I had no idea. -

😁WOOT WOOT!!! I went ahead and ordered the Team Group 7200C34 (2x16GB) A-Die DDR5. This kit is gonna RIPP on the 2 Dimm Unify-X and 13900KF. I’m gonna delid this CPU and crank out some serious numbers. I hate Newegg. They just had to wave that kit right in my face on the home page screen saying “Back in stock” -

Well, you know me I want to accomplish top tier performance with overclocking. It is 2x16GB 7200C34 kit. $399.99 isn’t too bad. Much cheaper than corsairs slower 6600 M-Die. I guess I just want some good numbers and something fun to play around with. I think this is the kit. Also, Rockitcool said 12th Gen delid tool works on 13th. They changed their description too. A few people have already delidded their own 13900K. It is the same from what I have gathered. -

Hey. Both 12900K and 13900K are identical. Only one extra area needs some conformal coating. Delid is the same. @Talon Is it worth buying the TEAM group 7200 A-die sticks? I think you have some right, how do they overclock? They are back in-stock. I’m tempted here lol. they did bump the price to $399.99 unfortunately though.. I only have some Vengeance 6000C36 sticks Samsung B-Die, and I feel like being on a Unify-X (2) Dimm motherboard with my 13900KF needs more than that. -

I have always been interested in waterblocking a midrange GPU. When Jayz2cents did a video on a AMD RX480 and then watercooled it back in 2016, it was the most amazing thing I’d ever seen in my life with watercooling. He went from 200+ watts to like 98+ watts of power draw. I had a RX480 back then too. I got it on launch day. Then I got a GTX1080 on launch and it blew it out of the water. Lol. But either way. It has always been interesting to me watercooling a mid range GPU product. I’m very interested in your results once you watercool that 3060Ti. Anyone have a Rockitcool 12900K delid tool I can borrow? They are all sold out on their website. And they only show “Pre-Order” for some reason. I want to delid this 13900KF as soon as possible. I can’t afford to bin for a good one lol. So whatever the SP rating, I’ve got what I’ve got. “I’ll never know the SP btw” DAMN YOU ASUS! 😂 Rockitcool is scalping FLITZ polish BTW!!! -

The launch samples of the 13900K’s and 13900KF’s are all looking to be great samples. I think the worst I’ve seen so far is an SP98 on the P cores. Another thing is, they all seem to be relatively close on SP rating. I’ll never know what mine is lol. The struggles of not having an Asus motherboard. I don’t know my 11900K’s SP rating to this day. And it’s a freak of nature. 😄 -

Surprise surprise!! Newegg did not let me down. I pre ordered on 9/27, and my 13900KF will be here Saturday. 😀 -
I bought a Corsair M600 Pro XT Hydro. They have 3,000 TB write life I think? It’ll be going in the new 13900KF build. While mine is the watercooled model and kinda silly, the air cooled model runs very cool too. Much cooler than the prior generation. The Corsair M600 Pro XT 2TB is only $219.99 USD. I did not do a tremendous amount of research based on the endurance of these SSD’s or other models. And that’s because I have (2) Intel M.2 660P’s in a Raid 0 configuration and they have lasted absolutely for freaking ever! I’ve had them over 2 years now, and both still at 97%. The thing is, I’m always uninstalling massively huge games and re-installing the same games or even new games on a daily basis and vice versa rinse repeat. They only have a 100 TBW rating which is like that’s it?? I can’t kill them it’s (2) little 512GB Intel 660P M.2’s in raid 0 providing a total of 1TB of storage. They both work wonderfully to this day. I would not over think TBW too much though. I will hammer an M.2 SSD really hard. Far worse than most, always reinstalling Windows probably 6+ times per year, and then constantly filling my storage and removing games to reinstall other games lol.

You think you are limited by the Unity-X really? Or is it just your A-die memory that’s limited? Does anyone have a delid tool I can borrow for LGA1700? -

From the looks of it, I think his is pretty good. But I’m seeing a lot of other people with great samples too. I think the lowest I have seen is SP98 -

Corsair has some crazy unbelievably fast international shipping. I have ordered from the Corsair website a few times this year and they get a package from Taiwan east Asia to Tennessee United States in 3 days!! I wonder why their shipping is so fast? And it’s free. How is this possible? I don’t live in Tennessee, but it’s only like 1 state over. Corsair ships all memory and storage right from Taiwan. -
I did not see this thread until now. This is a very high end build. What is that Lian-Li top IO kit?

One of the reasons I love my water chiller. I can get cold when I want. I’m excited to try this 13900KF. So far all of the sample people have are really really good! It looks to be a really great product from Intel so far. We really haven’t had competition like this in forever. -

You swapped out your old 12900KS? You’ve got the right idea man. I’m gonna start doing what you’re doing for sure. I’m gonna start planning in advance with hardware launches. I’m always scrambling last minute. I got ahead this time with CPU’s fortunately. And Newegg had already shipped my 13900KF as of this morning. But RTX4000 series got the better of me for sure. I was not prepared, I decided I wanted one a couple days before launch. And it takes at least 9-34+ days of working on my wife before such a large purchase can happen. 🤣 -

Well for one, I do not like a Gigabyte/Aorus motherboards. Maximum power draw on any cpu generation. They really peg out the load line and voltage in my experience right out of the gate. Plus, their bios is a dang disaster!! I’m at the point where I would never own another even Gigabyte motherboard even if it’s free. And I absolutely mean that 100%. I don’t mind owning their GPU’s. I tested (3) 11900K’s on a Aorus motherboard notated their binning quality. Then re-ran them all on a EVGA Dark motherboard. You would think it was a different batch of processors all together. The thing is, you’ll see some variation in all motherboards really. Ideally you want to find that manual voltage sweet spot on your own. It takes hours and hours to get a new system just right. But it’s totally worth it in the end. -

Okay don’t laugh at me. But I literally finally got 1Gbit internet in my home. For some reason no matter where I lived, fast internet seemed to always be unavailable in my area. I always had the usual suspects. Satellite internet, 3mbps DSL, or most recently I have been using 5G cellular through a modem with a SIM card from my carrier. This option was always the best. Decently fast at about 100+ mbps, and unlimited. Turns out the home I have lived in for the past 5 years has been “Pre-Wired” for 1Gbit internet. And the service providers just had me listed as “Non serviceable” what a nice surprise! So anyways I finally have 1Gbit internet! It’s so nice too! It has been a long struggle. -

Me and my son both spent some time together coloring some pictures tonight. We ended up coloring dinosaurs. This is what I did. It was really a lot of fun. Knee dip in AMD red, crapping out Nvidia green, while fighting to survive! It is the Raptor Lake! -

Okay. That sounds good. I pre-ordered on 9/27 as soon as I could. So I hope Newegg mails them out tomorrow. Maybe some people are just stirring the pot over on Overclock.net.
