I did not see this thread until now. This is a very high end build. What is that Lian-Li top IO kit?

One of the reasons I love my water chiller. I can get cold when I want. I’m excited to try this 13900KF. So far all of the sample people have are really really good! It looks to be a really great product from Intel so far. We really haven’t had competition like this in forever. -

You swapped out your old 12900KS? You’ve got the right idea man. I’m gonna start doing what you’re doing for sure. I’m gonna start planning in advance with hardware launches. I’m always scrambling last minute. I got ahead this time with CPU’s fortunately. And Newegg had already shipped my 13900KF as of this morning. But RTX4000 series got the better of me for sure. I was not prepared, I decided I wanted one a couple days before launch. And it takes at least 9-34+ days of working on my wife before such a large purchase can happen. 🤣 -

Well for one, I do not like a Gigabyte/Aorus motherboards. Maximum power draw on any cpu generation. They really peg out the load line and voltage in my experience right out of the gate. Plus, their bios is a dang disaster!! I’m at the point where I would never own another even Gigabyte motherboard even if it’s free. And I absolutely mean that 100%. I don’t mind owning their GPU’s. I tested (3) 11900K’s on a Aorus motherboard notated their binning quality. Then re-ran them all on a EVGA Dark motherboard. You would think it was a different batch of processors all together. The thing is, you’ll see some variation in all motherboards really. Ideally you want to find that manual voltage sweet spot on your own. It takes hours and hours to get a new system just right. But it’s totally worth it in the end. -

Okay don’t laugh at me. But I literally finally got 1Gbit internet in my home. For some reason no matter where I lived, fast internet seemed to always be unavailable in my area. I always had the usual suspects. Satellite internet, 3mbps DSL, or most recently I have been using 5G cellular through a modem with a SIM card from my carrier. This option was always the best. Decently fast at about 100+ mbps, and unlimited. Turns out the home I have lived in for the past 5 years has been “Pre-Wired” for 1Gbit internet. And the service providers just had me listed as “Non serviceable” what a nice surprise! So anyways I finally have 1Gbit internet! It’s so nice too! It has been a long struggle. -

Me and my son both spent some time together coloring some pictures tonight. We ended up coloring dinosaurs. This is what I did. It was really a lot of fun. Knee dip in AMD red, crapping out Nvidia green, while fighting to survive! It is the Raptor Lake! -

Okay. That sounds good. I pre-ordered on 9/27 as soon as I could. So I hope Newegg mails them out tomorrow. Maybe some people are just stirring the pot over on Overclock.net. -

I’m hearing rumors the 13900K is going to be a paper launch tomorrow. Any reason at all to believe this to be true? Intel has usually been great with CPU inventory right? -

I still play RDR2 to this day. And I run DLSS quality just because their implementation of TAA is poor and always has been. And DLSS Quality looks ten times better. The game didn’t always have DLSS though. I’m glad it does, and not just for the performance benefits, it fixed that crap TAA cartoon looking garbage they had implemented in the game previously. -

I’d love to go ahead and get mine. Newegg ships items after release date though unfortunately. I am guessing they will ship it on the 21st. I’m assuming on the 24th or 25th I’ll finally join the fun. 😭 PS: 22 days waiting so far. It went by pretty slow lol. -

Do the Intel 13900K reviews finally come out tomorrow? I found some new R23 benchmark numbers for the 13900K. It looks to just match the AMD 7950X with the stock power TDP, and outpace it with higher power limits. 13900K Leaked benchmarks https://wccftech.com/intel-core-i9-13900k-raptor-lake-cpu-same-performance-as-core-i9-12900k-at-80w/ -

What kind of 3090 do you have? -

I know that the 3090FE’s with even just their 350-400 watt power limits. The memory TJMax which is a sensor inside one of the memory modules would run north of 100C-110C. People were re-doing the pads and getting that down substantially to the 80’s which was perfectly fine. Watercooling any of them helps drastically. Apparently this was fixed a while back though. I think any 3090 now a days is good to go. -

FUN FUN FUN!!!! Memory at 23GBPS 😃 Great performance out of the RTX3090. I think 4K 60+ may be possible on one of these last Gen AMPERE GPU’s. I had all of my dip switches enabled on the back of my GPU. Cut down on power usage DRASTICALLY!! -

If I restore defaults, and limit power to 500 watts. It runs about 30c. Same 1.1V. No under volting or anything. -

Water is locked to just 70F. I use a switch for my radiator fans to turn them off. Condensation can form really bad. But I would have to set my water temp to about 53-55F to reach condensation. I usually keep it at 70F liquid temp though. -

Anyone play A Plague Tale: Requiem yet? Boy is it power hungry!! Peaking at over 625 watts. This 3090 smashes it though!! With this kind of power usage, any standard 3090 would just clock flop on you. It would probably tank to 1,700Mhz range. -

I have seen some beautiful Mora3 setups before, so nice in fact it really makes me want to set aside the funds and do it all for nothing more than nice looks. But they are expensive. They sell aluminum and copper variants too with lots of accessories. I run a Pora3. The Pora3 is the “Poor man’s Mora” 😎. It’s a solid copper 1,080x45mm thick radiator. Holds (18) 120mm fans. And it’s only $122 dollars. I actually have two of them. But one is plenty overkill. Okay, I’m kidding. It’s not really called a “Pora” it’s really a Alphacool Nexxxos 1080, and they sell enclosures with feet as well. It’s pretty cool. After hooking it up, I never looked back. Real God like cooling. -

Nice to see free gains with the RTX3090 with the new driver. Assassins Creed Valhalla has boosted up nicely a few other titles as well. I’ll take anything. So while a GPU fps boost helps, I’m still CPU limited in certain titles. RDR2 especially running around Valentine with lots of people around, other games too. I’m ready for a 13900K and that nice double in multithreaded performance. -

I assumed you’d grab a RTX4090, then the RTX3090 KP HC would move in to your work Computer. But after hearing that the RTX4090 doesn’t support Windows 7, then I guess that’s a no go for you. -

One single HW Labs 360 GTX or 360 GTR will get the job done EASY. Most people who are using massive radiators are chasing very low coolant numbers. You probably don’t need all that. (1) single really good 360mm radiator can go along ways! If I were to run one radiator it would be a HW Labs 360 GTX or 360 GTR. The HW Labs GTX models work great with lower fan RPM’s and fan speeds up to 1,800RPM. The GTR is a new model that scales a little better with really high fan RPM’s. So starting at 1,800-3,000+ RPM. But we’re talking about a lot of noise. So the GTX is a little more flexible. The HWLabs GTX is easily the best radiator in the world “If using a case”, and nothing can beat it. Even just a 280GTX and a single D5 pump will cool a 4090 and a 12900K. -

Not at all. All of those items are name brand within the watercooling community. Magicool/Bykski/Swiftech. Also, using distilled water is your friend it’s not conductive. It does slowly become conductive over time, so swapping water periodically can ease your worries. AIO’s can leak just like anything else. I have never had a real water leak, I have never leak tested components, I don’t even use the PSU jumper to run pumps only. Never had a leak. Honestly, if you just pay attention to what your doing you’ll be fine.
