  1. Yes I'd like a 35W ultra thin RTX 4070 laptop. 4K screen for ants, yes that's great. And my steak very well done please. 🤦‍♂️
  2. I'll believe it when I see it. It's probably a TDP issue. But it seems idiotic to have 80W 4080's lol. And there's also the issue of the CPU score.
  3. 4080 timespy results, according to reddit. Only around 25% better than my Legion 7 with a regular 3080 and 11th gen intel. I don't think it outscores a desktop 3080 in GPU score.
  4. And no price restrictions. The perfect nvidia customer 😜
  5. A friend of mine is still rocking an Obsidian built P650RP6-G. Going for almost 7 years and, believe me, he doesn't treat it very nicely 🤣 6700HQ and GTX1060 6GB I believe. He mostly plays Overwatch and deck-builder games. It only has a 60hz screen which is very much the weakest link of the package. I remember looking into it a few years ago and not finding a way of fitting a 120hz or 144hz FHD screen on it. But recently saw there's some laptop display adaptors available on aliexpress, and maybe there's just more display choice nowadays but is it possible to upgrade the screen to something faster and better? Ty
  6. The Blade 18 is very very slightly bigger than the old Blade Pro 17. Because it's 16:10 I think I really like this upgrade to 18.3" 16:10 screens.
  7. CPU was bad and santa didn't give him a heatpipe nor a 4th screw. I don't understand the point of these models. They must think consumers won't even consider buying a laptop thicker than 1" but have no problem with a janky watercooling setup.
  8. It would still be 150W max TGP Nvidia only launches eunuchs in mobile
  9. In europe you see the 3070 Ti QHD being sold in the same store as a 3080 8GB FHD 360Hz... The 3070Ti is on average 400€ cheaper. It's a lot. Makes little sense to me.
  10. Yeah but I mean more as a buyer, does that model make sense? The 3070Ti version costs less and has practically same performance. Similar priced alternatives pack a 16GB 3080. What would make someone want a 8GB 3080?
  11. Of course. 2 days after I get my 11th gen Legion 7i.... Then again, those prices would probably be a pass. 1250nit mini-LED sounds awesome tho
  12. Does the version of the GE76 with the 8GB RTX 3080 make any sense in this line-up? 3070Ti has practically the same, if not better (in a few games) performance and costs less. Am I missing something?🤨
  13. There's this Reddit thread on how to access it via a Windows tool. And here's another thread where a user reports it to be working on latest Legion 7i BIOS, ver.h1cn45ww. I have yet to test it though, so take it with a grain of salt. Still waiting on my unit... But it does seem to be a bit scuffed 😅
  14. Hey everyone! So I'm looking into changing out the RAM on my i9 Legion 7i. From my understanding, getting XMP to work is a bit scuffed. In JEDEC spec I've found two options: Kingston Fury Impact 3200MHz CL20 1.2V Lexar 3200MHz CL19 1.2V Can't find the full timings on that Lexar model tho. Can I access the advanced BIOS on the latest version (h1cn45ww)? Is XMP easy to activate? Or more of a hassle? If activating XMP is a good option then I'd be looking into these 3 kits: Crucial Ballistix BL2K16G32C16S4B 3200MHz CL16 XMP 1.35V G.Skill Ripjaws F4-3200C18S-16GRS 3200MHz CL18 XMP 1.35V TeamGroup ZEUS TTZD432G3200HC16F 3200MHz CL16 XMP 1.35V Curious to read what are you guys's opinions on this. Are there many people running XMP? Thanks
