  1. finally some aida results for ddr5-8000 on AM5: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16jMBDVEvNFkjkJ-RBW5hllsVdHgxVyaGMvY-Fz_ONtE/htmlview# latency is roughly the same as 6000-6400 with tightened timings, thus the identical gaming perf. we saw before. but its got a nice bandwidth boost, thats what i was hoping for! 😁
  2. yep sounds about right, you definitely are one of us 😁
  3. yeah, the new agesa not only improves Gear 1 max frequencies but also compatibility with 4 DIMMs! check out 128 GB at 6000+ Mhz: hows ur stability at 6400? i assume ull do some tightening of timings 😉 also be sure to check how high u can go with gear 2 and post AIDA results. havent seen any yet aside from game testing or zentimings screenshots... soooo whatcha planning to get on the egg? 😉
  4. as long as u have an m.2 wifi port with pcie functionality u can slap in any wifi card with that form factor 🙂 just beware the subtle differences as mentioned above!
  5. hm i hope that doesnt hold true. got the feeling that AMD is getting comfy being in second place, its a safe haven and easier than being top dog. underdog always gets extra leeway and additional fan support. they might need a few more years to grow properly before taking the fight to nvidia properly? lets see... yaaaaas about time boizzzzz. i want results, be sure to keep us updated here! ill do the same once i get back home from vacay and back to tweaking 😁 yeah its funny, saw soooo many comments related to "crazy about alienware as a kid" but now realizing theyre just cheap plastic trash. i felt the same, back in the late 90s, early 2000s i wouldve given both legs for an alienware system. now we all know better 😅
  6. the m15x just keeps going...what about a quadro P5200? 😁
  7. dayum! although those are very loose timings... still, this is awesome! 😁
  8. aight then, im sold. will get it after my vacay! but for now its beach time 😁
  9. those are nice ram temps, shouldnt run into heatrelated errors :)
  10. u might wanna drop the FCLK down to 2000. Mhz. i did extensive testing and found that u get a bandwidth and latency performance bump when keeping MT/s to FCLK ratio at 3:1. so 6000 to 2000 / 6200 to 2067 / 6400 to 2133 and so forth. other users i.e. on overclock.net found the same. also, try to up both soc voltage to 1.25-1.30 and vddp to 1.15-1.18 to get more leeway for tightening timings. the rest is just elbow grease, tighten a timing, test with karhu/tm5/memtest86, find the tightest stable setting, move on to next timing, rinse and repeat...
  11. yeah same here, sounds highend and expensive! haha fits right in here 😁
  12. noice, posts such as these warm my NBR heart 🙂 welcome back to the fold, guys!
  13. hm why would u go with the crappy proprietary CNVi format? best to stick to regular pcie in m.2 form factor cards. the latter is universally compatible, whereas the former has to match your motherboard, too many headaches. the pcie vs CNVi versions of wifi adapters have almost identical designations, so be sure u get the right one. i.e. for interl 201ax vs. 200ax, the 201 is the CNVi version whereas the 200 is the pcie version 🙂
  14. better late than never i guess? haha but yeah those 3000 series mxm cards are rare and helluva expensive...
  15. dude, with that glare i might even get a nice tan while gaming lulz did u build it for urself or to sell it? not clear on that...in any case, super clean! ah yes, everyone welcome @Premato NBT, looks like he's just starting out as a noob bencher, let's be sure and help him out with long-standing experience 😁
  16. judging by the desktop parts, it "shouldnt" be more expensive, maybe max. 100 USD additionally. one more timing set in: 6400-30-40-40 IF2133 but now i gotta pause tuning, off to vacay! exciting, gonna be the first time with the lil one. curious to see how she will react to seeing the sea for the first time in her young life 😄 wish us luck boiiiiiiiizzzzzz
  17. lol, i mean....u even named ur profile after it hahaha. whats the gameplay like, any good? i must say u peaked my interest with that screenshot 😛
  18. the DIMMs max out at 50/52 C. but i plan to optimize the voltages once im done with subtimings. i might go back and retest the timings once i got a voltage range figured out, should lower peak temps considerably, potentially allowing me to avoid errors more. its a finicky balance as we all know haha.
  19. i for one dooont miiind at all ahaha. the longer the better, might as well get max mileage out of this setup 😁 ha, at the current price trends shouldnt take long for that. but beware, the RAM "schweinezyklus" (german for "pig cycle" lulz) will bite you in the butt if you wait too long. recent forecasts show that by end of this year RAM prices will be increasing again! have u searched for inofficial beta bioses? my RAM tuning so far: 6400 Mhz, 2133 Mhz IF (2167 provides less performance and 2200 aint stable anymore), CL30 (can go down to CL26, but BSODS right away, CL28 keeps up for about 2 hours in ABSOLUT@anta777 in tm5, bit then starts throwing errors). now continuing onwards with all subtimings, one by one 😋 i got a good feeling about this, should deffo be more performant than my previous 6600 sticks....once im done with gear 1 ill check and see how far gear 2 can go mwahaha. fun times! btw, the dimms max out at 50/52C with a 140 mm fan pointed directly at them. thats at 1.6V VDD/VDDQ. once i dialed in all the timings ill follow up with voltage testing, drop it down as far as possible while maintaining stability 🙂
  20. phoenix os is great, unfortunately their website has been down since last year...but u can still get their latest w10 amd w11 builds if u google for them 🙂 based on the reports ive seen should be similar for MSI boards 🙂 lets gooooooooo 😁 oh yeah, that case also peaked my interest since im sporting the regular enthoo pro II and super happy with it. more space is more better in a case haha.
  21. sounds like they have collector's item status... ooooh i remember that one when i got released! wow seems like ages ago....
  22. that would certainly open up tuning headroom 🙂
  23. new v1516 beta bios dropped for my x670eeeeeeee (how many extremes do we need in a product name? lulz) and i couldnt resist, flashed it and did some quick testing: it does indeed improve ram capabilities even at 1:1 synchronous / Gear 1, able to boot at 6600, currently stresstesting 6400. i was stuck at 6200 previously :) good tweaking times ahead!
