thanks for showing interest mate! the unicorn magic master and i are currently working on a mod for this machine, well have to figure out what kinda performance and functionality advantages we can achieve. based on how successful we are, there is indeed a tentative plan to release it to partners. "people" are being kept in the loop, but its still early days. in any case, ill keep the guys here updated on the progress 🙂 speaking of which! we mightve gotten rid of the bug that kept us from properly signing and flashing modded firmwares, next test built is ready to be flashed 😁👌🏼 "unfortunately" *cough*, i still got a week of vacay here in croatia ahead of me and "Alfred" is waiting at home 😋

nice man, solid 10c shaved off! does that allow any extra multis? as for the price on those EVGA frames....holy guacamole. im guessing super limited run and excessive cost for the tooling required to produce the parts for them. sorry but id never even consider spending THAT money on a case, damn! btw good news, 3090 ti pricing dropped by another 200€ here in europe, the crash continues mwahahaha! cheapest available card now sits at 1399€ including tax and shipping. gotta love that 😁👌🏼 -
such a hybrid heatsink only makes sense if u actually use it for watercooling. then ull see significant temp reduction, in the range of 10-20C or even a bit more. but the air cooling capability is actually comparable to slightly worse vs the stock heatsink. ull sometimes see increased thermal mass to balance this out but thatll only prolong ur peak temps, not decrease them.

have a look at the just released odyssey neo g7 and g8 monitors, both 32 inch, 10 bit panels, 165/240 hz, roughly 95% dci-p3 (adobe and s3 also above 90% iirc), HDR "2000" (not VESA certified but based on reviews around HDR1200). as for response times, dont let urself be fooled by the marketing doodles, aside from OLED panels theres literally no 1ms response time monitor. these VA panels, however, are second only to OLED panels and way faster than any IPS in their class. have a look at HUB reviews for reference: btw, that "disappointing" headline for the Neo G8 is in my opinion on a VERY high level, its not to say that its a bad monitor, just not "perfect". but what monitor is? 😛 in any case, also be on the lookout for the upcoming LG C2 OLEDs, might be smth good. -

id have another look at current VA monitors, especially with samsung made panels inside, theyve done quantum leaps in terms of dark level smearing, viewing angles and inverse ghosting. plus theyre much much faster than any comparable IPS panels. -
What is the fastest RAM speed you have achieved on a Clevo? (DDR4)
jaybee83 replied to srs2236's topic in Sager & Clevo
haha yep true, but it really depends on the rest of ur system and of course your usage cases. -
duuude i gotta check this out asap....well....as soon as i get back from vacay 😋
-
thats kool, so no risk of the underlying SMDs falling off the board due to the LM? 😅
-
ah yes, its "only" a 12900H, was thinking of the HX 😋 not that familiar anymore with mobile chip specs...cant bother 😅

wait what? i hope ure referring to the housing @trimmed 😅 and not the lcd panel hahaha watch out not to overtighten the housing around the panel, might cause bleeding issues from the backlight. -
talk about unbalanced 😅 unfortunately the norm in europe. pretty sick wifi speeds tho, amazing! back in SG we also had a 1gbit line which was synchronous, pretty sweet. now were back to 50Mbit and u know what? its totally fine! 😋

omg i absolutely LOVED freespace 2! cant believe ppl are still playing that to this day 😁 and wait, are there any mods for it?

pics, temps, perf numbers, wattages, u know the drill 😋 -
post some air vs water cooled temps and wattages. also, hows the 3070 running at 180W? what kind of an uptick vs stock wattage?

Meaker! 🎉✌🏼😁

good thing about unified heatsinks is that u rarely have any loads that stress both the cpu and gpu the same. so dont worry about the cpu running hot under heavy load, in that situation ur gpu will be idle twiddling its thumbs, so u can use the gpu thermal mass to help out the cpu (and vice versa) 😉

i can take my machine up to 3467 bootable but not stable. depending on timings, stability pans out around 3333 to 3400. the highest ive ever seen on a laptop was by @Premaand @johnksss, iirc they both achieved 3733 stable. -
jay had a look at the intel version: tbh im a bit disappointed at the cpu performance, barely 20k in CB23 WITH water cooling. just goes to show the worth of a 12900K in the NH55 even if its not full performance but still beating this bga book by 4000 pts on air cooling 😋😁 nevertheless, eluktronics / tongfang make great machines compared to other vendors!

u tried with enforcement disabled or the disabling part didnt work? desktop is actually quite a bit away from C root, since it has to go through the users and your particular username folder first before u even get to the desktop folder. so thats minimum 3 instances deep, if not four if u pack the setup files into another folder on your desktop 😅

that sounds quite sketchy with eurocom dude....keep spamming them for that ticket, dont give up! well be sure to keep working on this until all options are exhausted. will keep u guys updated, of course. greetz from croatia btw, another vacay *lol*

quite the adventure! uve taken care of the physical aspects, now its about vbios / sbios / ec compatibility. u can definitely use ur programmer to flash the vbios chip, just make sure u have the right cable and clamp on hand that fits the chip 🙂 keep us updated!

ditto! dude, thats quite the untertaking, looking forward! -
try and disable driver signature enforcement, see if that helps. another quite silly thing is to make sure u extract / put the driver setup files as close to root on your C drive as possible to avoid dumb error messages during install. so ideally use smth like C:\GPU Driver as your setup folder to start the install from and avoid any kind of deep folder hierarchies.
