You break the rules in other forums you will get your hand slapped just like any other forum on the internet dude. Once again running to this thread to complain, its a perpetual cycle at this point. Hertzian left because he wasnt able to post swastika's on the forum. If that is a good reason, hate to see what a bad reason looks like. -
Address essentially 0 points with a hand wave, nice. measurable objective analysis, what that means to you as the consumer is the opinion. It may not have input lag 144hz, but it has considerable overshoot as a result of running in that mode.

Diablo 2 Resurrected, couldnt say no for 13 USD

You should read your first source. It appears I misspoke on the 4k144hz when that was limited to the PS5, regardless it uses compression since its not actually a full bandwidth HDMI 2.1 port, but half bandwidth. There is also a lackluster amount of dimming zones, which makes contrasting quite difficult for this panel. (8 zones). Instead of 4:2:2 like incorrectly recalled it was 4:2:0. It also uses a BGR layout instead of RGB. If the only thing you expect to do is gaming its likely to be trivial at best. Outside of gaming I've read issues about text on screen. I expect this is largely subjective, but its not something Im willing to risk 700 USD on to experience. At the time i was considering this monitor I think it was on sale on Amazon for 600. It was also around that time that there were many complaints of bad QC in a lot of the Amazon reviews. Many of which had to replace their units I believe up to 3 times or just sent back altogether. Its not a terrible monitor, but for the price you are getting a mixed bag. At the time of release was there anything else better? Not for the price, but that doesnt mean its a premium product either. First video I watched on this product, which only left me wanting to get second and third opinions because I wanted this monitor, but didnt want to have to deal with buyers remorse. The take away from this video was lackluster HDR, iirc poor lighting zones. This was the second video I watched. This one covers the half bandwidth ports more than the first. Lastly, still not following the only rule you seem to ignore. Double Posting.

The Aorus doesnt have full color range and doesnt actually have 4K144hz. Uses compression techniques and 4:2:2 to get around an old standard. More importantly, has the worst QC of any product in the market.

I'd imagine direct die would drop it significantly just like it did for the non 3d chips. Issue would be that the solution is typically not sought out by the "casual gamer" types and also kind of defeats the appeal of a turn key chip if you're considerating that hypothetical. -

Primarily gaming, browsing and the odd document or two. Larger cache has always only been a benefit to only gaming. This was shown in Broadwell and crystalwell but even then it's not whole sale across the board. It does tend to improve minimums and reduce stutter that may otherwise be present. It would be replacing a 2700x on an itx x570 aorus wifi. I just don't have the time lately to be swapping parts on my primary pc and still have it be useful in a daily driver. 5800x3d will take care of me for quite some time, while letting me tinker without need ING to rebuild due to a time constraint. If I had to buy a motherboard as well then there wouldn't be any interest at all. Just record my timings on the ram and swap it out when I'm not tinkering :) -

Nothing releasing now interests me in terms of CPU products. I just run with my 10850K and Am4 system. If there is something I would pickup it would be the 5800X3D for my daily driver type system and the 10850k would remain the bench system. Though its still hovering around 300+ at the moment on ebay. -

Iirc they don't allow PayPal gift, they had a lot of sketchy people there while I was used to participate there. Especially private vendors. only thing that is the same there now is the name. Everything else has long since departed. That being said not a single time have I ever even heard a rumor of a lack of moral integrity in regards to yourself or your transactions. Passionate in your interests? Surely, stiffing people in a transaction? Unheard of. EDIT: Seems the moderators are slow to action over there. Telling someone they are breaking TOS, multi-posting, thread crapping are all against TOS and worthy of infraction, at least that was the case when I used to surf there. Supposed to report and move on, not engage in battle.- 14 replies

I think that's been part of the issue with this Gen's lineup. The top is so far and away that it's the only appealing product up until you look at the price. Then when looking down towards what your willing to spend you don't see much improvement like you do at the top. Same for amd iirc, obviously there hadn't been as much time for a product stack to mature but right now everything just seems a bit awkward. Instead of a product stack covering differing price points you are almost looking for reasons to pull the trigger. That being said the 4090 is a nice product, pretty much matches are beats a 3090 from what I hear. I guess the next big issue (which is more personal of course) is a lack of enticing reasons to spend the money (not many games taking advantage of the horsepower in a meaningful way)

The moment AMD becomes Dell's offering in their enterprise rack solutions as the advertised pitch should be the moment that a cataclysmic shift just occurred much like an earthquake. Might be a few awkward conversations behind closed doors and maybe a couple of heads on pikes as a peace compromise but still lol -

I really dislike steering things into that genre of discussion but when part of a group you have to consider your actions and how that may reflect. Tough needle for me to thread. If he gets everything sorted I'd imagine he may be welcome again, but that's hypothetical and dependent on circumstances. -

I believe iunlock is still a part of the Prema HWBOT team. Perhaps that may need reconsideration? -

Same person posted here as well I gather I didnt know he was doing system integration work -
He was an affluent laptop bencher on NBR but I don't believe I have seen anyone posting under that handle here. Sorry to hear about your troubles though @Rage Set had similar issues but in reversed roles. I believe he is transitioning out of system integration. I didn't know iunlock did system integration. Did he become a vendor or was this closer to a handshake amongst gentleman?

Its for this reason I probably am going to make the forums default to dark mode, Dark mode should be on as much as possible in my view.
