  1. This thread will be locked until tonight.
  2. Eurocom cards are absurdly overpriced and they tend to profit off of other peoples experiments. For a while they were using the cheap ebay cards as well. Probably still are, given their track record. Does their GPU use supplement power? One of the difficulties of this hobby is that every GPU and vBIOS will have similar and/or unique conditions that must be met in order to function correctly. So while a Eurocom card may work, the MSI one you are looking may not. Not trying to convince you not to try, just trying to temper the hype. Ive been there lol
  3. Before you get to fitment, it looks like that card would need supplement power?
  4. With QMK, usb Synchronizer, and any system that can register USB handshake, you can create an AutoFire F8 macro so you dont have to spam it yourself. Admittedly might be over the top for a single user type scenario. I need to use sBIOS very often for work so now im not hitting F2, F8, F10, F12 for pro-longed periods of time anymore.
  5. Bit locker is doing what it's supposed to. If it's disabled while the OS is present then it will ask for a verification or refuse the boot cycle.
  6. Humor is lost on text /s exists for that reason.
  7. You had a conversation with chat gpt 3.5, which is not the subject of the discussion. You have to pay for 4.0, @ryan. Please do put more effort into your posts or you will be removed from the thread.
  8. I always stuck with the MSI GTX 1070 to avoid these kinds of issues
  9. If 140f (60c) is peak then that's quite respectable. Might also be able to look at event viewer for some of the crash reports.
  10. Dont worry in 10 years you'll see a private server lol
  11. It also says in that last gif that your preferred GPU is on Auto, does it always say that or should it show the Nvidia GPU as the selected option?
  12. The nice thing about workstations is their value drops off a cliff after a couple of years. Recently came into possession of a couple of 7810 precision workstations, each with 128GB of RAM and 20c/40t, making it a VM box for training purposes.
  13. If you dont know, then ask how to find out. I didnt have @saturnotaku do anything. He's not the type to take orders from the internet in the first place. So you have no interest in filling out the template, and arent interested in recommended systems. This thread has run its course, locked.
  14. Mind boggling, it would mean that the GPU is ONLY able to function in the slot they designed for it. Now its going to be, if its pcie and it fits, it should work* *except for where it doesnt.
  15. Is the GPU selected as primary in the nvidia control panel ? Perhaps needs to be whitelisted so that the Intel integrated graphics arent in the driver seat.
  16. BBB is not a reputable nonprofit nor would I want reviews to be curated by anything approximating the BBB. Reviews are the proper outlet for expressing concerns with a given product. It is the due diligence of the consumer to seek out this information before purchase.
  17. No idea if its available in Canada but I can take a look at what I have at work, I believe it was a wall brick. Ill follow up on Monday
  18. Same, not looking at it until a week or so after official release.
  19. First comment: Brian Drake 3 years ago So as of 2019, AI will not intentionally kill us, just accidentally kill us. Got it!
  20. If you can't engage in a constructive manner, then it's time for you to check out.
  21. The template has been served for well over 10-15 years, you're probably the first to attack it as some form for elites. It forces you, the consumer, to have some level of investment in this process. Budget: Not narrowed down at all, in fact more vague than previous. Set a bar with a stipulation that if there was convincing reason to increase it another notch (i.e. new product, or some kind of sale) you are welcome to entertain it. Unlimited budget vs bang for buck are diametrically opposed positions. Just as well so is uncompromising gaming prowess and diminishing returns. Set a number, and give a percentage for above or below the target perhaps? For a lot of recommendations this is the bedrock or starting position that immediately filters out a lot of products. 10 points ignored ? We're off to a good start lol You are putting in a lot of effort to not provide answers to the template and whining about how elite people are. You've had some good folks engage, to which you have turned up your nose while still desiring a responsible suggestion. We may have bias, as all people do, however just as you thought you could post asking for help, it does not completely negate your role here. Its why the template was created and stickied. I have suggested the Alienware 18 (correctly named Alienware m18) as it houses a lot of performance under the hood, we even have some members that have already gotten their hands on one with the top end package that are sharing their experiences with the system and wouldnt have a problem answering any of your questions. Have you considered it or looked at it all? As it fits within your previously defined budget of 5000, offers to date the best performance on paper. Haven't seen any feedback from you on it be it for or against.
  22. Well, pretty much all of it. You state there is no budget, but also not to be wasteful in spending. This doesnt narrow anything down. You dont care about storage, but also looks like you dont intend to upgrade since you dont need slots? If budget is of no concern then why the stipulation? No list of games that are in your rotation. No details for screens, etc etc. The issue is there isnt a corner piece to this puzzle yet for others to work on as a basis to build from. 4050's and 4090's also typically arent in the same conversation for purchase considerations since what they offer is quite different. Couple that with not wanting issues for not having Air conditioning then puts the 4090 at risk since we dont know what environment this will be used in. It sounds more like your question should be, what is the best 4090 equipped machine in the market right now.
  23. A lot of the options at the top have fallen off due to QC issues or in general lack the cooling to properly utilize the hardware under the hood. I hear good things about the Alienware 18, but those are coming from experienced tuners. This sub-forum exists to assist members narrow down their options, but with that being said, if the template isnt filled in a meaningful manner the perception changes from granting options to thinking for you. Which tends to put people off.
