  1. What's weird is, I started at 400 then worked all the way up to 1200mhz. It was running fine at 1200mhz then when I tried 1300mhz, it wasn't stable anymore. I couldn't get 1200 or 1000 to work properly at that point but 800 was fine. Probably should have tried a restart but by then I wanted to play with 3090Ti. This was my best port royal: https://www.3dmark.com/pr/1509397
  2. Alright my 3090 KPE was just not cooperating with OC. I was at it for 2-3 hours. Seems 800Mhz on memory is all it can do before crashing. So here's some comparisons stock vs stock, 3090 KPE vs 3090Ti FTW3 Black Gaming. Basically one of the fastest 3090 and the base stat 3090Ti. Both cards were max power target and temp target but stock clocks. Firesrtike: https://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/27507113/fs/27506544 Firestrike Extreme: https://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/27507227/fs/27506560 Firestrike Ultra: https://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/27507161/fs/27506581 Timespy: https://www.3dmark.com/compare/spy/27315069/spy/27316490 Timespy Extreme: https://www.3dmark.com/compare/spy/27315161/spy/27316826 Port Royal: https://www.3dmark.com/compare/pr/1509378/pr/1509534 The 3090Ti performs its best at 4K resolution. Compared to the KPE card it's about ~5% faster. I'll play with OC 3090Ti later. The results may not be visible until they fix the graphics card not recognized error in results. I already submitted an email to them.
  3. What core /memory offsets are people getting with 3090 KPE on its stock cooling? Running 3090 benches right now, will swap out 3090Ti after. 3090Ti is HUGE and HEAVY. I consider this a four slot card. Should have some results later tonight 😄
  4. I ordered the EVGA 3090Ti FTW3 Gaming Black. The base 3090Ti EVGA sells. All of their models except hybrid and kingpin are only different from vBIOS OC. I'm sure I can get "ultra" model performance easily. KPE is a different story. I wouldn't be surprised if my 3090 KPE can keep up with the 3090Ti FTW3. We'll see tomorrow as I plan to compare them =D Finally putting these things in my 10980XE build again. (3090 KPE until it sells but 3090Ti will stay inside my computer this time instead of Titan V [hoping it fits])
  5. I have two AW 18 right now. Owned one before as well. None of them had VRM blow. However I think it depends. Many people had issues many did not. Luck of the draw I guess. I am running the same RTX 3000 in my AW18 as well.
  6. For anyone else that needs INF mod, I had made a video on how to do it.
  7. I made a video awhile back on how to modify INF. This method works for Optimus mode with Quadro or geforce cards. For PEG mode cards, do the same thing except use manufacturer inf. EX: Dell/AW is nvdmi.inf
  8. The chips on the back are not actively cooled so those chips still run hot. They aren't founders edition level hot (110c) but can get into the low to mid 90s depending on workload. When I put a case fan behind the card it runs cooler around high 80s. Core temps are really good of course.
  9. 3090Ti coming Friday, the perks of living in the same state as EVGA. Listed some desktop components:

I am the original owner and bought this card in July 2021. It has been used in my SR-2 workstation and hasn't seen much gaming. Will come in original box, still has warranty of course. Kinda worried the 3090Ti FTW3 might not be any faster than this 3090 Kingpin to be honest. RAM is from Dell (Micron brand). Brand new kits. 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 2666Mhz and 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2666Mhz.
  11. Anyone got any AMD GPUs? : BTW I ordered a 3090Ti lol Probably gonna list my personal 3090 KINGPIN

  13. Price: $2250 SOLD Condition: Used Warranty: Until 2024 Reason for sale: Doesn't fit Case Payment: Paypal, Venmo, Cash Item location: East Bay, California Shipping: I'll cover shipping to US48 International shipping: N/A Handling time: 2 Business Days Feedback: https://www.heatware.com/u/73221/to https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/ssj92?filter=feedback_page:All Specification: EVGA RTX 3090 KINGPIN : https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=24G-P5-3998-KR Hoping to sell this here to someone who will appreciate it. It was purchased from a NBR member in NOV 2021. He purchased it March 2021 and it was still sealed when I got it. It was for a friend but their case didn't clear the radiator. So I traded cash + my 3090 XC3 for it. I used it for a month benchmarking it then after decided to sell it. Got other hobbies that need $$$ and my Titan V handles everything for now. One side of the box has a slight rip. I have no idea how this happened since the box was sitting in my shed.
  14. For the future I highly recommend people get the updated mini pcie card format instead: https://www.ebay.com/itm/255111905218?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item3b65dabfc2:g:47QAAOSwDclhKd3F&amdata=enc%3AAQAGAAACkPYe5NmHp%2B2JMhMi7yxGiTJkPrKr5t53CooMSQt2orsSg3Ye8yTWgOW7pmE1t838dogBwDBnL6PmMuFx9hEhMq0qwptEIvdzNJJ5szouz42KaVjHELTouvuNPLZ0XOeufa9JutitmJohHhrMYdXua8zpDpoewMKAoy74mYl5gYdgUqpW8YA52SqrkL2gynaYO31PesAQ6%2B55f0mZgyq4TuG4cFW8dsoEx7yUy5pC5foEzrSR3concnQv%2FE61cO5Sr4LPVAcTyCgZuIPLqTKaHm5rCSXRF9DG3y3keAtTLeh8MoUgqwZuthvTF6pKoW0qOoGM2dL0HQioGJ8TSorUTEhLMyHF6jlLRl%2FqH9xthZtkY5jErFA8a4S2bZGyHdCEkaTMRTof950HeycGi5puLjXgSCnNyaBXqxnYssY4gJyLUolY3toYibAaYj2VGAy7NmqSGQPpdp8MuhqmwiILVIIqh9yunl6DGWSisYsi%2FpSRlkLp3vo1pr7gb9BD4ael6fwKduaPOTdBLPTtTbdm7mPI%2B%2F7ITyEDwfvdMu3T5ez4FtqL4pXRrJUo5hEXhlk8paOemQf28RxylWq1NCzs8a5p%2FVneIV5janbWqcHaGAAc7M4CQYhYCmaWp7XmAhmHGh4wsn7sbeEEo%2BJ4ohoFoarXFqJGFNSaVJ8trXoD5F75yLY4DbOQzxfucwNT0MRIaj%2BImwr%2FirzgIkqRg3Zdp1RgEsgMy12eYB9phxznuApuHPn7L4IAe5iGO%2BQMAUYR2CoilwxTueDmmvag%2BMkIH4%2FbB%2FCMtcjIKK6uhej%2B44haFeIlmwp2z4sTmTVLvF%2F9C4r50dretq8CAGOadORruA8STE2N%2FtgxXBRN%2Bx0paIZu|clp%3A2334524|tkp%3ABFBMsuCO1-lf or https://amzn.to/3tnCjW4
  15. Oh I've seen this. It's not because alder lake doesn't support MXM. It's because support for MXM in general is pretty much dead. Only a few companies providing nVidia Quadro MXM cards support it at this point. No idea how much longer that will go on but we got new Quadro Ampere based cards coming soon. Probably useless for X170 owners since they got 3080/3070 MXM cards already anyways. Seems every company has pretty much stopped making DTRs. Looks like X170 & Area-51m R2 were the last DTRs. I still plan to upgrade my M18xR2 to Quadro A4500 (RTX 3070) when they're released this year. Quadro MXM may be the only options for current users of DTRs.
  16. As long as it is running in Optimus mode (60hz panel) or dGPU only (120hz) it will run. I think the 17 series by default on 60hz panel run in Optimus mode?
  17. Go to your windows settings, search for graphics, there should be a option to choose which GPU to use per app. Add each app that does not use dGPU and select high performance gpu.
