  1. Okay then, maybe I'll do it one day, I just don't want to touch Linux, ever, I've had enough
  2. Can you provide the ROM/flash files? I can do it right now, I made a quick access for my BIOS + ME chips in the laptop's frame so I can do it fast with my CH341A v1.7
  3. Uh, I never really saw any 1050 Ti vBIOSes, maybe you can find some on TechPowerUp database? I am going to look for some in my free time.
  4. Coreboot? On M4800? Jeez.. I didn't think that it can be done
  5. I don't know how that will work, but if I were you - I would use Hiren's Boot CD on a flash drive to flash the VBIOS
  6. At this point I am sure you know how to use ATIFlash and you have backups. From what I can tell - this VBIOS is unlocked for overclocking, I have updated GOP just in case, I hope it works out nicely Baffin_mod.rom Baffin_mod_updGOP.rom
  7. I looked through - I guess it will be better if I find a VBIOS myself, I know russian
  8. I think someone on 4PDA forum was modding it some time ago, look for M4800 thread there.
  9. I also looked at Quadro RTX 3000 pictures and I don't think that it actually protrudes that much on the sides. Some heatsink parts need small cuts (I guess eSATA port will need to be cut/removed too) . Still, I need to get one first just to be sure. And even so - 80W is just extreme, I don't feel comfortable about it lol
  10. Sadly it is still locked, that's a thing with those modern quadros, I tried to flash all kinds of VBIOS-es, desktop 1650-s, mobile 1650-s. It always fails, even with modified nvflash utility. I will probably try to do it again when I do something with it when I fiddle around with the heatsink, but with external programmer.
  11. Does anyone have a Quadro T1000 from Adlinktech here? I've been screwing around with mine at night and found a VBIOS on TechPowerUp database that improved my temps without a performance sacrifice. I changed my MSI Afterburner OSD configuration yesterday and noticed this: LIM1 is a stat that shows what limits the GPU (POWER,TEMP, NO LOAD) and in my case it NEVER changed, GPU Power was on 3.5W too. I knew it was something with VBIOS, but when I tried to flash some 1650 VBIOSes - it didn't work, even with nvflashk/omgvflash. But then I tried to flash the sketchiest out of all T1000 VBIOSes - one that had "0 MB VRAM" identified on TechPowerUp. And would you look at that: Now temps aren't going higher than 73 degrees, even in stress tests, yay! Here is the link for VBIOS: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/239942/239942 Flash using nvflashk: https://github.com/notfromstatefarm/nvflashk How to flash it:
  12. Stay safe, brother, I wish I could help in this situation..
  13. Oh my god, how I didn't notice this before, it is gorgeous!! 🥰
  14. Damn, I need your dedication to finish up the work on my laptop. Well, the biggest issue will be the heatsink I think. Best way to do anything about it will probably be a CNC machine.
  15. While I don't have an RTX 3000, I tried to imagine how it would fit inside of M4800 and I would say that it is a much more involved process due to the LVDS/eDP location, it will interfere with it
  16. I've been looking into some options for a GPU fan but I can't seem to find an adequate solution, has anybody tried to install any custom fans? I've tried to find XN0G5 but price is ridiculous, but I think it will fit nicely with a little bit of hassle.
  17. From what I can tell looking at the motherboard's schematics - it should work
  18. UPDATE 6,7,8#: -Installed a palmrest with FP -Replaced a keyboard with a Japanese backlit version -Installed a modified GPU heatsink (dropped temperatures by around 17 degrees which is absolutely insane, it doesn't throttle at all now) (heatsink was provided by cicichen594 from eBay)
  19. Girls: Do men even have feelings? Boys: Scary BIOS flash bar
