  1. M4800 GPU heatsink only comes with one heatpipe by default unless modded somehow
  2. Yep, from cicichen, didn't really gain much, so I'll probably try to tame the GPU then.. if XVSION can really fix it, then I am gonna speak with them ASAP
  3. Nope... my dumb ass thought that maybe there is something going on with the laptop itself... I bought it back in January 2025, I am not sure if they are even going to help me with this anymore. I wonder if this GPU can even be diagnosed to be honest..
  4. I use an EDP LA-9772p motherboard and tried both restoring the original BIOS (because mine is modded, I have unlocked the SPD write + ReBAR) and also tried CoreBoot, it just doesn't show up for some reason... Quadro T1000 works perfectly fine though.. I know about the backlight cable mod too, but shouldn't it at least show up with Optimus on? Correct me if I am wrong. If disabling Optimus + having a backlight mod lets these old M6x00 & M4x00 work with newer GPUs then I am shocked... With T1000 disabling optimus results in a black screen (ofc, because I didn't use the edp mod), but laptop actually works. Doing so with 4060 results in a reboot after I apply the settings and in around 5 seconds laptop just shuts down, turns Optimus back on (by itself) and 4060 is not even visible in the system....
  5. I am not sure if it is the case, because it doesn't show up in the system even when iGPU is enabled
  6. I hope it works out, 4060 didn't work in my case, still have no clue....
  7. They should work fine right out of the box
  8. I advise everyone to NOT get i7 4980HQ, as impressive as this CPU looks with it is monstrous L4 Cache it is not worth the risk, it will either die on it's own or you will kill it with an excessive mounting pressure as it has a higher profile than stock rPGA946b CPUs.
  9. Well, my i7 4980HQ is dead, it is the second one that died on me, this one lasted for a year and I mean exactly a year 23.12.24 - 23.12.25. I don't know what to do now as it is my only one + there is no way to access PC right now so...
  10. Rebuild digital signature + Use method compatible with easyanticheat did the trick for me, even without test mode
  11. No way, dude, I was just starting to investigate the MXM slot side of things to get 4060 working in my M4800, that's a HUGE milestone for MXM laptops. Thank you! Hope to see the finished product soon!
  12. So, are there any DSDT/SSDT experts here? I still couldn't manage to get 4060 working
  13. After some time screwing around with SSDT tables I have managed to get the following result: Laptop boots fine with T1000, but when I drop 4060 in it crashes with "ACPI BIOS ERROR" BSOD on boot
  14. If anyone knows or is an experienced BIOS modding enthusiast that has done GPU support patches before - please contact me or respond here, with the community effort this problem can be solved or we can at least find the root of it. Thanks.
  15. I think some Clevo BIOS modders could help, as I saw lots of RTX mods for older machines that didn't support those GPUs. It would help a lot if anyone here tries to get those modders "on board" so to speak, as I lack knowledge on this matter. This could be anything, maybe we need to patch PciBus DXE module, or it could be some other DXE module, who knows. That would need lots of knowledge and usage of tools like IDA Pro and/or GHIDRA.
  16. Nope, not yet, I got Resizable Bar to work, but GPU is still not visible. I have tried to flash VBIOSes from other 4060-s and that didn't help too.
  17. Nope, nothing yet, tried to reach some companies that have RTX 2000 MXM-A, to get VBIOS from there (I think that should work, from what I see it is an identical die), but not many have responded and no one sent a file... uh...
  18. @panda_zzz Hi there, any progress?
  19. That's still some result! I am currently trying to modify DSDT to force it to work, I am not an expert, maybe it will do no good, who knows. I will stay in touch.
  20. Would you guys have any ideas on what should I do? It has been solid 4 days of me trying to get that GPU working. I have even built a coreboot for M4800 in hopes that it will shed some light on this behavior.
  21. Yes, this GPU is from X-VISION, and yes, DEVMGR doesn't recognize it, Linux doesn't recognize it either. It heats up, so it definitely works, BIOS recognizes that there is a GPU too.
  22. I've got an RTX 4060 MXM and it is not recognized in Windows, although BIOS definitely sees it. I have to figure out what is going on.
