  1. Does anyone have a Quadro T1000 from Adlinktech here? I've been screwing around with mine at night and found a VBIOS on TechPowerUp database that improved my temps without a performance sacrifice. I changed my MSI Afterburner OSD configuration yesterday and noticed this: LIM1 is a stat that shows what limits the GPU (POWER,TEMP, NO LOAD) and in my case it NEVER changed, GPU Power was on 3.5W too. I knew it was something with VBIOS, but when I tried to flash some 1650 VBIOSes - it didn't work, even with nvflashk/omgvflash. But then I tried to flash the sketchiest out of all T1000 VBIOSes - one that had "0 MB VRAM" identified on TechPowerUp. And would you look at that: Now temps aren't going higher than 73 degrees, even in stress tests, yay! Here is the link for VBIOS: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/239942/239942 Flash using nvflashk: https://github.com/notfromstatefarm/nvflashk How to flash it:
  2. Stay safe, brother, I wish I could help in this situation..
  3. Oh my god, how I didn't notice this before, it is gorgeous!! 🥰
  4. nvm, .NET 5.0 just decided to die, I fixed it lol
  5. I have installed a newer version of .NET and now I get this message.
  6. Damn.. imagine having your own supply of MXM GPUs 🤧
  7. Damn, I need your dedication to finish up the work on my laptop. Well, the biggest issue will be the heatsink I think. Best way to do anything about it will probably be a CNC machine.
  8. Let's gooooooooo
  9. While I don't have an RTX 3000, I tried to imagine how it would fit inside of M4800 and I would say that it is a much more involved process due to the LVDS/eDP location, it will interfere with it
  10. I've been looking into some options for a GPU fan but I can't seem to find an adequate solution, has anybody tried to install any custom fans? I've tried to find XN0G5 but price is ridiculous, but I think it will fit nicely with a little bit of hassle.
  11. From what I can tell looking at the motherboard's schematics - it should work
  12. UPDATE 6,7,8#: -Installed a palmrest with FP -Replaced a keyboard with a Japanese backlit version -Installed a modified GPU heatsink (dropped temperatures by around 17 degrees which is absolutely insane, it doesn't throttle at all now) (heatsink was provided by cicichen594 from eBay)
  13. Girls: Do men even have feelings? Boys: Scary BIOS flash bar
  14. I have installed a fingerprint sensor on my M4800, it is recognized everywhere, but when I try to set up a fingerprint in Windows - it doesn't register it.
  15. Hmmm, that's weird, reminds me of my second monitor on my PC, but in that case it was related to capacitors going bad. Not sure about that to be honest, I don't have that issue on my M4800. Can't test Optimus off because I have an LA-9771P mobo so no eDP.
  16. Ye, it is not consistent, you have to sweat really hard ahahaha I would say it is my best, idk what conditions can force me to react this fast in a real scenario to be honest
  17. I've been on this forum for some time already and I have only noticed the introduction topic now, it is better late than never, sooo... Hello, it is me, MELOCODI, or Dima. I have discovered this forum back when I had to get myself something to replace a PC I had at home before I was forced to leave my country due to ongoing war. I have ended up buying Dell Precision M4800 and this forum has been insanely helpful for me. With this forum I was able to maintain my enthusiasm, because I was doing some modding (sometimes it was some slav-jank engineering, but it is not stupid if it works ahahaah). With help of this forum and it's members I finally have a machine that is suitable for me and now I will definitely get it close to perfection, all thanks to you guys.
  18. I am still hunting for that CPU
  19. I've managed to get a docking station, yay
  20. https://www.ebay.ie/itm/285018113824 Here)
  21. I've ordered i7 4980HQ, now I am waiting for it to arrive, I will try to put it into my M4800, I'll stay in touch. I think it should work.
