  1. @MD87 The Socket pin part seems ok on one just a simple bit of tweaking however the one that bent right back on itself might be tricky else its a socket replacement. When you say the case on back was broken are you talking about the very end corners if so its not broken per say its missing a little foam bumper to hold the clip in as mine has done that too. Cleaning wise, my OCD is triggering right now man (Must resist the urge!) As for BIOS when you say Unlock you mean like revel everything or a true unlock where the functions work proper?
  2. @wilpang If your system is working fine currently then just download the bios for safe keeping and not update. I agree though it makes it hard when there is no officall change log to work from to make a informed choice on this matter.
  3. Guess i can now update my Network Setup. So i am currently running the following (Testing the Router after my hardwork), Modem: Zyxel VMG4005-B50A Router: GL-Inet Flint AX1800 **Custom Openwrt made to day after weeks of porting it over!** Else its the trusty Linksys WRT32X with my custom OpenWRT Dummy Access Point: Gl-Inet AR750 to isolate security system. ProxMox Box: Seed Odyssey X86, 8GB Ram (Soldered flith), Quadcore Celeron J4105 with 1TB SATA M.2 and 128GB NVME M.2. VM's Running: - Portainer/Docker for Network DDNS, 2x DNS Adblock/Malware/Gambling/Porn Blocker, Teamspeak Server, Two Webservers, Database Server and Reverse proxy NGINX. - DevBox for Driver Modifications (Either on or off depending on if i need the other VM) - Nextcloud File,Email and Talkserver - Game servers via AMP - OpenWRT Compiler Box (Either on or off depending on if i need the other VM) What's left to do, compile Mesh Networking software for OpenWRT for the Flint AX1800, then test out some mesh nodes
  4. Yeah i am wondering this too. Hopefully its going well.
  5. Well Good news, system is now back together, no screws left over and the BASS is banging now uninstall and reinstall the soundcard driver and it should be blooming golden. Man i am so happy. To answer your question @wilpang due to how i map the screws they was in order of group then saved to memory as such. So first back cover and LED stripe, then CPU/GPU screws then the M.2 screws etc. I then was able to reverse this easier then when it came to reassembling the Device.
  6. @MD87 Right I have managed it the subwoofer cable wasn't connected but was crushed a bit by main board. I have now corrected this and had the balls to just go ham. Doing the thermal paste clean up then going to see if it boots after.
  7. Your plus 1 hour to me bud if your in germany. I only need to know which screws need to be removed, the removal of flex cables are easy to understand its the screws that holds the midframe to the top deck i am unsure of. Will make a Video channel on my Talk server and DM you the link when your ready with its password as i don't use Zoom or Discord.
  8. The new version that he is finalizing looks like it will give more control using check boxes, its why i spent the $5 to support him.
  9. Yep I do and I only use Chris Titus's script to do so. Heard he is updating it too so can't wait for that to release.
  10. It will be added to the next build and change log will reflect that the muppets have been calmed. As for APO4 modding, i have tried before and failed to get it working else i would be using just APO4 as it would make the pack smaller in size, however i can't get it to work thus will stick for now to APO3 and APO4 AIO building. You have to remember i am running this all blind right now as i don't have a working GT72 anymore. If i had a working GT72 i would be able to sink in the time and effort to convert to APO4.
  11. Strange, are you up for a Teamviewer session as this might be a bug. You need to use APO3 and not APO4 else your ID would of been in the APO4 section already as that the APO4 folder is not modified. If your up for a Teamviewer session then DM me the details and times your free and i will make the time to connect and have a look. I am GMT timeline so please include either your timezone or offset to GMT so i know what time you mean. Ops i noticed my mistake a typo in the fix like a muppet. Do the same as before but use %Device.ExtensionDesc% = DeviceExtension_Install, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0899&SUBSYS_146211D8 ; HDA Converted to UAD As originally i put %Device.ExtensionDesc% = DeviceExtension_Install, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0899&SUBSYS_146211D ; HDA Converted to UAD which is missing the 8 at the end man i am a muppet. Sorry But then again i suppose that's what happens when you get 2 hours sleep and the rest is doing firmware porting for a router that's not support so brain doesn't function right after days of the same routine. Before you say it i know its not healthy and i need to touch grass, but i can't till i finish programming and porting everything, got to continue till its all finished.
  12. If it was in video format then it would be perfect as i don't know what screws need to be removed or what flex cable etc. I know the keyboard needs to be removed and heatsink assembly etc but that's it basically it, so any help would do me grand. Then once i have finished porting my new router to openwrt (Which is causing me to only have 2 hours sleep as i simply can't stop working on it till its finished), i will then pluck the guts to try again.
  13. Well update on Subwoofer issue, decided to have a go myself, took all the screws out of the case took the heatsink off, cleaned the thermal paste off then looked at what other screws was needed to be removed. Then promptly chickened out. Why couldn't the connector be next to the battery section why does it need to be underneath the trackpad area! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!! So yeah going to let the pro's deal with it. On the plus side on the repaste i managed to do a better job and use less paste in the process whilst knocking 3c off at the same time. I love this laptop but at same time HATE it. Built like a brick, weighs like one to but a PITA to disassemble. No pins was harmed in the repaste this time either.
  14. Sorry for late reply, Will check the installer now for device id. that id doesn't look familiar so chances are its not in there but i will update this post if i do or don't find it. Update: Found the issue, I forgot to add that ID to only one file AVoluteNH3Ext.inf So its an easy fix for you. Simply go to C:\Audio\9336.1\Win64\ThirdParty\APO3\Extension Locate the file and open in notepad or notepad++ AVoluteNH3Ext.inf then go to [DeviceExtensions.NTamd64] section and then add %Device.ExtensionDesc% = DeviceExtension_Install, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0899&SUBSYS_146211D ; HDA Converted to UAD Click save then head to C:\Audio\9336.1\ then execute Launch.exe That will then install it all and it should work again.
  15. @Sydneyblue There you go its not going to be a stinky penny for you lol.
  16. Going to need your sound card device id and a dxdiag bud. It might be a simple case of missing id in the mods.
  17. Normally it does get sent back to sender after 3 failed attempts.
  18. Dam that sucks. A while back, i know its open sourced and more then likely updated will give it a shot at sometime. been super busy with porting over a router from QDSK to OpenWRT lol.
  19. This is the fan software right? I have already tried it before it didn't work well on my X170KM which is why i went for Obsidians fan control tool , which reminds me i need to retest that to see if the EC trigger issue is now present after updating my EC firmware.
  20. In regards to the CAMM, it looks like a great idea, however i can see flaws already, its a compression fitting just like LGA, we are already having bent pin issues on LGA i just hate to think how many pins would be mashed on the CAMM. Not only that you have the other issue i see in the pictures two PMIC's if one fails your replacing the whole module no like the current SO-DIMM slot where it would be one stick. Then as @Reciever has so rightly pointed out dell has already got a rep about supporting their designs anyone remember DGFF's. Yes having CAMM's will allow for a thinner laptop with the idea of being able to upgrade memory, but we all know its not going to be like that.
  21. Yep i was going to go to XMG at first but since the brexit happened i knew it was going to be expensive to import one in so lucked out when i noticed PCS selling them too.
  22. System is holding up well since the board replacement, the only real issue is lack off bass from the engineer forgetting to reconnect the subwoofer. Else she is running if anything better then the old board. So thank you for asking. @wilpang Although its back on PCS's website its only listing the RTX3060 right now so i guess they are out of stock of the RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 right now although you could call them and ask.
  23. Yep PCSpecailist is one place in the UK, PCSPECIALIST - Configure the Recoil V 17 to your ideal requirements (Seems only an RTX 3060 is available right now) As for Europe there is XMG XMG ULTRA 17 | gaming laptop | with 300 Hz IPS display. Hope that helps, i got mine from PCS.
  24. Thanks for the info, however as its patching a Windows Process directly i am more inclined to worry about Anti-Cheat software flagging it and then banning my account. I am currently using StartAllBack which doesn't have the same issue with CPU resource hogging and i have managed to setup my screen how i like it, although who you of thought i'd say i miss Windows Live Tiles (Ironic i know i hated them in Windows 8 and 8.1). However i will have a look at the source code to see if there is even a slight chance of Anti-cheats flagging it.
