I take it happened whilst on Performance Mode in CCC? EC 1.07.03 was stable for me and Firmware 1.07.07 was also stable for me. However 100c might have been what cause the power down in first place. Not sure what game your playing but yeah for an i9 11900K i would stick to Entertainment mode whilst gaming with max fans on. Also rise the angle of the laptop up slightly to allow fresh air underneath. But for sure repaste it does sound it needs.

Thank you. -
Ouch, yeah never do that till it does the second flash, your lucky in how it is setup for bios flashing as the first flash is to flash the boot block and the recovery bios part with any ME updates whilst the 2nd flash is to flash everything again fully.

After DPD managed to do their job, it got collected and PCS now has it. Its now in processing however no reports back, but it is upto the Techs weather or not they class it as CID (Customer Induced Damage), to weather i have to pay for a new mainboard if its required, I have been frank with them and told them what i did with the system before hand, honesty is best policy. They have a 3 Week time line for RMA's right now so i have to put up with a stupid Xbox One for now and i can safely say i can't wait to get my laptop back. Thanks for asking though.
-
That is strange indeed, its a possibility that screensaver could be the cause but even the standard one would be using the DGPU so very very unsure to be honest.
-
I didn't have this myself when i had a secondary monitor attached to mine, might be time to go hunting for what ever is causing that issue.
-
Could be due to the HDMI using Nvidia GPU to get the HDCP? i know EDP is Display Port, but then that should also have HDCP too.
-
It might be due to SGX not being enabled in Bios as intel has scrapped Intel SGX which is required for HDCP. It was removed so say from 11th gen (Corrected), also removed in Windows 11 too. So it might have been removed from bios, don't have access to X170KM-G nor the tools as that is on my M.2 drives so i can't check right now.
-
Although it sounds scary, the likely thing has happened. 1) Clevo or XMG forgot to sign the .efi bios file. 2) The .efi bios file was edited after it was signed thus broke the signature. Either way the system should still work fine but every time you boot from cold or even resume from sleep your going to get the same error popping up. So i would suggest you don't flash the bios and wait for XMG to resolve the issue before flashing it, If you have flashed the bios downgrade the bios back to V1.07.07 to overcome this error

Nahimic 3 UAD Modified Driver for Unsupported MSI Hardware
solidus1983 replied to solidus1983's topic in MSI
Are you still having issues with 1.32.261.0?? If so i will downgrade it or if there is a newer one upgrade the UWP for you. But waiting on my X170KM-G to be fixed (Bent pins on CPU socket), so currently back on old ye faithful right now. Yes its on a VM however i am on Linux right now on the old laptop.- 262 replies

@electrosoft I didn't take photo's of the bent pins as my mind wasn't think i was too busy puking up and going into despair (Its now in the box ready to be collected). Also i always took the CPU out of socket to clean it so that no q-tip could cause issues during cleaning or thermal paste getting into it. I haven't once dropped a CPU into the socket and i try to always remove the CPU out straight however my hands are not steady so its a possibility that happened. However after this when i get it back i will not be doing anything to the laptop other then replacing the storage drives and os drive. I have also decided that my physical tech support is coming to an end. The downside is PCSpecailist only has the X170SM mainbaords in stock and not the X170KM boards so yeah a board replacement might be the 3rd thing to go wrong and just make my time even more bad then it is now. Being stuck at home since begining of the pandemic completely isolated from the world, other then Online Gaming with my online friends as i don't have IRL friends is going to make this a lot more painful then it already is. @Sydneyblue I didn't try with one stick as i didn't want to risk frying the CPU any more if the pins that was bent was to do with voltage rather then ground. The less i messed with it the greater the chance it might get fixed easier.
-
It is so, and i am only running 2 sticks. It powers up and LED's come on but no POST nothing after that. 2 Sticks are under the back cover. PCSpecialist have arranged pick up tomorrow, will then try to bend the pins back else i will have to wait for a new board to come in stock as they only have the X170SM boards in stock right now. So i tried to get my ol GT72 working and that also sh1t the bed and died which leaves me my Lenovo R61e and a GMA950 so no gaming no for possibly a while, all of this was down to a Twitter picture of a nasty PC that needed cleaning that triggered my OCD. So if you though that you was stupid i took that crown big time and then some. If they bend pin back and it works then all is good its £35 else its £350 for a new mainboard when they get one in stock. Thankfully most of my important stuff is now on my NAS and VM's but thats for coding and modding.
-
@Sydneyblue Well i am now laptop less as well, took CPU out of socket to clean and have bent pins, so its getting collected tomorrow by PCSpecialist to be repaired. See i told you not to feel stupid it happens to us all. Not sure how i bent the pins however i have to pay labour for them to bend them back if they can or £350 for a new mainboard. So on my R61e again for 3 weeks.

introduction Update about 2022 CLEVO laptops
solidus1983 replied to qadhi79's topic in Sager & Clevo
Yep Intel your lucky to get two upgrades per socket, AM4 has been a champ. I would expect AM5 to be the same too so it would make more sense to use AMD Socketed CPU's from a tooling stand point. We know it can be done as there are laptops out with Socketed AMD chips in them but then they fore go the MXM which is utter madness.- 39 replies

Style Note is stock Clevo bios bud. I do have instructions on how to flash the bios as well as zip files to accomodate said said instructions which are the firmware and the efi files required to get into efi shell. XMG Version (DMI branding removed), Clevo Version.

Nahimic 3 UAD Modified Driver for Unsupported MSI Hardware

Glad to hear that bud. I guessed it would as the driver from MSI is for all systems they make that accept UAD drivers.- 262 replies

Does HId use a custom bios? Aka did it have their logo on it during boot. Easy way to tell me is to go into bios and give me the full firmware version then place in here, if its stock Clevo bios then their is plenty of places to get the files. Even @Jaggy84 knows this 😉
-
Is this during CB testing? As that's avx instruction based so you CPU will get slammed and become a hot mess. Did you have max fans on as well, or just the stock fan curve. Also 6 minutes is past TOU time of 126 seconds so it would fall to PL1 from PL2. As for temps, did you check your CPU mount (Paste wise) to see if you have a decent contact.

introduction Update about 2022 CLEVO laptops
solidus1983 replied to qadhi79's topic in Sager & Clevo
It looks it, at the same time they are missing a trick. Yes Intel might have killed support with MXM on Alderlake however many people would snap up the chance for a Socketed AMD system with an MXM GPU.- 39 replies
