Basically New drivers, and a New app for your system. EQ is slight better then Nahimic 2 as well. You don't loose features you in fact gain some. Feel free to ask away it better to ask then not to. Just a heads up GT72 will always be APO3 GT75 should be APO4 as both sets of drivers are included shouldn't be a issue. If i have time tonight will boot up the DevBox on new server and will make a new build with the new files. Just right now i am doing studying for a new program language set. As for Nahimic 2 being discontinued at least my builds will not untill at least i get to the stage where i can't get it to work.

I can agree on this to an extent, If your only going to game then the laptop is too expensive for this unless your into Clevo DTR Modding, Upgrading or using it to make money. I use mine to Game, Program, Browse with many tabs, Virtual Machines etc but soley got mine for ease of Maintance in terms of upgradable CPU, GPU (Although doubt RTX 4000 series will be supported).

Yep VBIOS i have is G-Sync supported, i think i have narrowed down the issue itself. After asking the question on XMG's discord for someone with a 2K Panel with G-Sync enabled i got the reply of Monitor Name (Manuf): BOE CQ NE173QHM-NY2 Monitor Name: BOE [Unknown Model: BOE09D9] Whilst my panel is Monitor Name (Manuf): BOE CQ NE173QHM-NY2 Monitor Name: BOE [Unknown Model: BOE0977] I tihnk the Monitor model is difference is what is causing the issue even though the panel i have is a G-Sync panel. Not only that VRR option has gone missing in Windows too. As i am on the latest VBIOS, EC firmware, System Firmware this is the only thing left which means i wasn't so lucky after all.

Video Card ID is 10DE 24DD 1558 7715. VBIOS 94.04.46.00.09 Just been given a ne VBIOS from PCS which still left the system without G-Sync with NY2 panel which is G-Sync enabled. If we are talking about the new Mini-PC being used as a server, currently under 50w total under full load. I have gone from compiling OpenWRT firmware within 72 hours (Seed Odyssey Box) to just under 1 hour with just using 8 dedicated cores at 5.5GB of ram out of the 32GB. I have also noticed that DDNS and DNS services are running even better on the Docker/Portainer VM too as thats now on 4 Cores shared dedicated with 4GB of ram. Then there is nextcloud that was so slow but with 4 cores shared and 4GB of ram its as fast as it can ever be. What i find fun is i no longer need to turn one VM off to turn another on to make the driver mods. Its fantastic. Infact i did a clean NetISO install of Debian 12 on the box today it took all of 5 minutes to get it installed and everything setup.

I know XMP doesn't work with the KM either so might be the same with SM. As for the thermal pads being stacked thats an ouch.

@wilpangYep the Difference between NY2 and NY6 is also day and night. However i think i need the VBIOS updating as G-Sync is not working at all for the NY2 even after flashing either 1.07.07 or 1.07.08 from XMG or PCS which is odd however the issue i had with the NY6 panel is now gone. As for Display setting i am too on 125% as 150% is not right even if Windows says it is.

So tomorrow i should have the correct 2K 165hz G-Sync NY2 screen. I can't give details but PCS are fecking legends i tell you. Now to find a controller board and frame for the NY6 screen.

If your not getting any heat on the Vents then you have some serious bottlenecking going on, like i have stated, remove the heatsink its not too difficult to do and a service manual can help P6xxHS/P67xHPx (palkeo.com) Username: Repo Password: Repo File needed: P65XHS_SM.zip. Should you no want to remove the Heatsink clean the vents out with all the dust using something like a can of compressed air, do not let the fans free spin though, this should help loads for temps. If you still don't get any heat from the vent area then you have no choice but to remove that heatsink to replace the paste.

We all start somewhere. Also smart move on the Linksys WRT using openwrt far better then stock firmware, from a Linksys WRT32x user.

Both XMG and PCS had a firmware update to include G-Sync on 2K Panels and both use the BOE NE173QHM-NY2 version With FIrmware version 1.07.07 "added BIOS VERSION 1.07.07RTR2-G1/G2, Includes G-SYNC support for integrated WQHD display"

Hi ViktorV, looking at panel lookup it states the NY2 does have G-Sync, only NY1, NY3, NY4, NY5, NY6 doesn't as they are missing features on what NY2 has. I could of got the NY2 from PCS but they didn't want to send the screen to me instead they wanted me to send the complete system to them which is 2 Weeks sitting there before being worked on then screen swap and tests before sending back. For something that was a 30 minute job. I did instruct the eBay seller if they didn't have NY2 screen in stock to simply refund but they totally ignored that bit.

Windows Updates are really getting bad, i used to do a freshing OS install once every 3-6 Months but as of late its been after every update due to something or other breaking.

Would be handy to have the mods merge this thread with After all its not only the same system but part of the same issue.

Right open the laptop, find the CMOS battery and unplug it also unplug the laptop battery and power cables. Then press and hold the power button to fully drain the system then put the CMOS battery back in followed by laptop battery and finally power supply. This should do a full NVRAM clear, FN+D doesn't always do a full NVRAM clear.

To me I would firstly reinstall windows, like @Reciever said, then after that I would then clean the system and reapply thermal paste. This should then solve the issue as with them temps for GPU I can savely say the driver will be crashing out causing the games to quit.

Funny enough i have managed to solve the issue by reseting to EDP cable. The 1440p 165hz screen compared to the 1080p 144hz is night and day. Not only is the colours accurate and pops but the 165hz is a blessing. I mean on the 1080p screen on Caldera i couldn't see for jack due to the muted colours but now its crisp and sharp with the colours being correct. I mean Yellow is Yellow, Green is Green and Red simply pops. Not to mention the 1000:1 Contrast ratio means blacks are blacks not dark grey like on the 1080p. All i am waiting for is Nvidia to add the panel to the G-Sync section in the driver to get G-Sync back, which if what i was told by the seller where the NY2 Version is now low on stock shouldn't be long i don't think. Either that or i use this screen temp and then find the NE173QHM-NY2 screen.
