@reallango When you go to check thermal paste next, check the GPU thermal pads haven't doubled up somewhere as that would make a contact issue occur on the GPU Die. I had a Hot GPU on my KM version because i used 1.5mm and 2.00mm pads, the thermal paste was showing contact however it would get hot very quick i had to then go to 1.0mm and 1.5mm pads to get it just right for temps to be in the lower 70's on full tilt.

Promptly goes into atic and gets out the Amiga A500+ and turns it on.
-
@reallango That GPU temp is really really high, You said you redone the Thermal Paste however at them temps it might be a contact issue, you haven't dislodged GPU thermal pads?, @electrosoft Good call on asking for another with the same specs to do a control however there might be a delta variation if your in different climates to account for too. As for the CPU Sharing heatpipes, that is also vaild however it wouldn't rise the temps past that of the CPU surely as the GPU area is quite big in terms of the Heatsink, thus can soak more heat before equalising. However @reallango could test the theroy out easy enough with Warzone by going into Documents\Call of Duty Modern Warfare\players folder and then editing the following line in adv_options.ini . RendererWorkerCount = 8 # Normally Half of your threads. Then set that file to readonly. Then launch Warzone and see what happens.

Nice one mate, Yeah i can reconnect my Sub-Woofer, taken my GT72 down to the last screw without a manual however as i have 3 years warrenty and i bruised my confinance after the pin incident i might just leave it for now untill i get PCS to fit the new 165hz screen into the system. Then they can be both done at the same time.

Nahimic 3 UAD Modified Driver for Unsupported MSI Hardware

Any reports from people that installed the drivers ?- 262 replies

Who is up for a laugh. So as there is no one currently at home apart from me i decided i'd whack my laptop to speaker mode and play some hard bass music. Guess what seems not to be plugged in, to make matters worse the connector for the SubWoofer is right near the trackpad area which can't be reached without full disasembly. Left and Right Audio channels work fine, Sub isn't doing anything at all. Trust my luck.

Well i have my laptop back, boy didn't they do an epic job on it too. So happy not to be using a console any more.
-
Which system you got? Does it have a Style note screen on boot (Clevo stock bios), or does it have another brand on it. What is your current Firmware version? I don't send files without spec info of which version you have. All it takes is to have a system with hardware modifications from the SI and you hit into issues. Edit: Check DM's i have sent the links, however please bare in mind what was in that message as well as Myself nor NotebookTalk are responsible for any damages incurred by using the files in question.

Last time I played BFV I had DX12 enabled but DXR off. I also put Framerender to on too and vsync on.
-
BFV turn off DXR should fix it as for heaven benchmark it will stutter as the load on the GPU goes up quickly.

Check DM

Yep! UK, It might seem cheap but it was an expensive CPU repaste.
-
?? No shipping costs but mainboard was £304 with V.A.T. @Dezmoond0 I personally use HWInfo and MSI Afterbuner for monitoring.
-
Good news everyone, Laptop has been repaired and is currently getting shipped today!!!. Time to buy a new Windows 10 Pro Key!!!
-
@Dezmoond0 Are you after undervolting if so enable overclocking in the Bios then use either Throttlestop or Intel XTU. When you say its running hot, how hot?
-
In UK so shipping would be a pain, however i do plan on getting a socket replacement? Also going to Kapton the entire substrate and socket to remove the gap issue so i don't need to remove the CPU anymore either.
-
Glad to hear. I also have some news which is bad, PCS got back to me and stated i need a new mainboard, however they have one in stock so i have paid for the new mainboard so should be back to normal by end of Next week so long as i haven't killed my CPU as well. Going to have to put up with Windows Activation watermark for a while after now too as knowing my luck i will need a new Key for that too. Good news is that i will be getting the old mainboard back as well as the fixed laptop.

90c on Entertainment mode is really pointing to a mounting issue on the heatsink. There is no way it should be that high.
-
GTX 900 Series more then likely anything from Pascal (GTX 1000 series) upwards requires either Nvidia Optimus or EDP display connection.
-
Right i have a suggestion. Using either Intel XTU or Throttlestop try reducing the PL2 limit to something lower then 125w and see what happens. If it runs stable and cool, then increase it till it either gets hot or shuts down. It could be VRM's getting toasty due to contact between VRM and Heatsink not being right or the heat of the heatsink is also passing it to the VRM causing it to run away temp wise.
-
Entertainment has a lower PL2 limit to that of Performance in CCC For example my i5 11400 in entertainment mode has a PL2 limit of just 119w for 28 seconds, whilst in performance it shoots to 154w for PL2 for 28 seconds, i would think your i9 11900K would have a higher PL2 limit in performance mode then 154w. Yes a Notebook cooler will help (Hint its how i am 1st in my spec range on 3dmark), however tweaking the PL2 and even undervolt will be the only way to tame that CPU. To undervolt you need to have OC mode enabled in the bios.
