That's right, the second version of MXM-PCie board and power supply is ready to rock! My shown tests with RTX4070 is the result of development!!! -

By an own developed MXM board and a corresponding power supply! This is now reality:-) My shown tests with RTX4070 is the result of development!!! -

Maybe you misunderstood me, but the RTX4090 /80/70 series would go in the P870xx! -

But my solution is a special development only for the P870xx! It only goes in it and is designed for installing a desktop card in the P870xx. -

Thank you!:-) We will see what there will be in the future. But I don't think this industry will be impressed. It is too dependent on contracts (Intel to Clevo for example) and the debt money system. There are just too many constraints. Probably it will be history to build such laptops in the future that are like the P870xx!!! -

That's right, the card does not run in gen 4 but gen 3! But my board can also Gen 4 / Gen 5! I have developed the board up to Gen 5. If the processor meets the requirements, also goes Gen 4. / Gen. 5 :-) I am currently checking whether this is possible from the processor!:-) -

Of course, there should also be fun, but a desktop GPU should then work properly in the P870xx. I'm still in the testing phase and will let you know how it goes. Think about where the GPU draws its electrical power from!:-) The P870xx alone is sufficient with the orginal power supply alone to supply the graphics card. -

Here are 2 pictures from my tests with AMD and Nvidia. The AMD card was just not plugged in correctly, therefore 4 lanes. This sometimes happens with the PCIe port!:-) -

Correct, there are only these connections via the chipset, no direct connections via the CPU! No, there are no PCIe connections over the chipset with me, but only over the CPU! -

Yes, I also think since there are no problems with the speed:-) I'll test a current UEFI card soon. -

In this respect, the technologies mentioned cannot be relied upon. Here you have to look for solutions yourself. This requires in-depth knowledge of physics, electrical engineering, electronics and CAD, and you have to know the relevant hardware specifications and standards. -

My concept is not like your proposed one. For me it's about full integration!:-) So one GPU for everything, no division of performance resources..... -

Exactly, if you have a PCIe 4.0 card then the display would be PCIe 3.0 on older systems. Of course, the CPU and chipset reflect the current generation. The backward compatibility is always there! -

You would have to go deeper into the different hardware specifications. In any case, I can say that no controller is necessary. When I've done my tests, I'll show a few things. -

Exactly, you need a direct connection to the MXM ports. For this you need an extra development. But you don't need a controller, because a direct connection is the connection itself! All other possibilities are not worthwhile from a physics point of view. A Thunderbolt port still takes time to allocate the PCIe lanes. Every controller needs time to switch and that would then always be a bottleneck from the PCIexpress point of view.
