    Microsoft says Windows 11’s 3rd-party widgets won’t really cause performance issues Microsoft noted that these Adaptive Cards-based third-party widgets will always use “low memory and CPU”, and their adaptive interface will automatically style them to match the host/form factor experience. Use of "low memory and Cpu" just mean you'll use more clock cycles than without this feature. Aka Microsoft add in features in the OS that continue steal performance vs older OS. Isn't that correct bro @Mr. Fox ? If I put in 100 kg stones in my car I will loose the cars maximum performance (The more junk you throw in and fill up the car trunk, the worse it will perfom). I will even have to pay more in the gasoline bill. This reminds me about Apple's OS for phones. Add in more or less useless features you don't need, only to force people to upgrade their gear before time (the older phones run slower with newer OS because of more added bloat).

    Here's a few pics of the old paste and pressure testing of the Gtx 580. A huge old Nvidia heatspreader needs cheapest possible thermal paste. And Colgate toothpaste fits the bill 🙂 The owner said the card was repasted a few months ago. I opened it up to see and can't see he succeded very much in that. A bare die as they use nowadays is a lot better than this huge heatspreader. Not even sure if it's nickel plated copper as Intel do for their IHS. Cleaned off the mess. Btw. For those that haven't seen it. Clevo is soon out with a new High End gaming laptop Clevo X270 God have mercy with the buyers, if this is the successor to X170 (I don't even know what I would brand it - Joke or a Turd).

    Yep, why brand it X270 if this isn’t the Xx70 successor? Is this a dark joke or is this the coming gaming flagship product from Clevo? Maybe @Premaknow. What I know is that Intel first will let the Asia’n market have their first desktop graphics cards before rest of the world (and I know Clevo also targeting that market). Expect Clevo will add (weld/solder) in next gen Nvidia graphics cards when they are officially out, spring 2023. Maybe earlier if Nvidia want/or demands it to stay in front of AMD..

    Hi bro Legi. The new MSI model fits very well in the thread 4 controversial laptop trends that shoud have never made it. Remember the old days MSI offered 200W graphics in their high end gaming laptops? Not anymore. The new GT model come with a shared Max TDP at 250W. Whats next? Go down to 240 or even 200W? One thing for sure.... Dual 280/330w power bricks isn't needed anymore due the thin design trend. The next will be offering a slim and pretty 240W USB-C adapter to power the most powerful laptops (gaming or creator models)... USB-C is about to go from 100W to 240W, ... - The Verge

    You could play both with multi and bus speed. The XM was unlocked (how much/high depending on the laptop OEM).

    Add more Cpu performance then have to cripple the graphics performmance further on already crippled mobile graphics cards. The (progress) trend continue. They should be ashamed of offering a product like this. How hard is it to make a refreshed cooler that can cool 5-10 more watts? But people want it so.... They'll get what they want (Yey another refreshed model with too weak and flimsy cooling). This is just sad. Dell XPS 17 9720 graphics is actually slower than on the XPS 17 9710, but CPU performance has improved Dell has quietly lowered the GeForce RTX 3060 TGP from 70 W to 65 W on the latest XPS 17 9720 series. The minor hit to graphics performance may be worth the more significant increase in CPU performance What a disgusting progress.....

    All too early jump on graphics cards from Intel. And AMD won't get my money. So there is only one option left for me. Hate Nvidia's business practice, but they are the only option. At least for me. Nvidia rumored to launch RTX 4090 first, RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 to follow Will the RTX 4080 land in August?

    Not much you can do if they add disgusting code in the kernel. Remember you is forced to do volt mod on nowadays graphics cards(everything is fully locked down). Maybe 0,1% bother with that.

    If the miners is gone and with hardened competition between Nvidia, AMD and now with Intel maybe the gamers can win in the disgusting game as well. It will be harder for Nvidia forwards, that’s for sure.

    It will be easier for the gamers now when the miners is gone. And equal harder for Nvidia. Buy older gen cards will hit Nvidia hard. Maybe we will see a new way to castrate gaming performance on cards that isn’t the newest? Or maybe they will try sell in new tech as they did with RT? This is their only solution to stop the downwards spiral for profits. They even showed lower income forwards. People should buy more used items. Correct bro @jaybee83 ? 😀

    So it is likely that Nvidia would save it for a "4090 Ti" refresh down the line. Waiting for the Ti just means it’s just below 6-10 months before a possible 5000 series release. Having the best from Nvidia’s graphics cards isn’t as before. And Nvidia isn’t finished with similar scams as they did with the 3080@castrated Vram. Even their cheaper SKUs get same treatment. The card is rated for a total graphics power (TGP) of 200 W, which is about 30 W higher than that of the RTX 3060. That catch here, though, is the 192-bit 8 GB of GDDR6X VRAM.
