I don't think Turbo VCore will work. Did you try install XTU with driver signing of? Here is another way... https://stevetech.me/posts/intel-xtu-attempted-to-install-on-an-unsupported-platform https://kallelilja.com/2018/12/workaround-xtu-attempted-to-install-on-an-unsupported-platform/ https://community.intel.com/t5/Processors/xtu-setup-fails-with-error-0x80070643/td-p/420610 Maybe re-try what worked on some of my older systems -

So true. But I mean it can be circumvented if you have double partitions on each drive if I don't take wrong. And yep, a bigger chance to avoid deleting the wrong drivers also if you disconnect all the others in the bios before the install. Have been there before. But Macrium backups help on that 🙂 -

Got an new ssd to put in more OS's. From what I have read. After 5= quintuple boot then we will have 6 = sextuple, 7 = septuple, 8 = octuple 🙂 Asus TurboV Core should be able to do so. An older version is probably necessary/prefered to use. But not so sure if it will works with your MB. Best bet is an older XTU version. If you don't find a version that works for you in bro Fox XTU library then try mine here https://www.mediafire.com/folder/076u1ed5vbslz/XTU_Library -

Yep, I saw that but have had contact with the seller 🙂 He will ship it up here to Norway. But collect in person is always a good sign. Always better pick it up but nothing to buy here. But your eyes is good bro Fox 🙂 -

Nope no such cards here in Norway. Its ebay auction and I'll pay with credit cards. Wee will see how it pans out🙂 The seller have been on ebay since 2004 and have 100% feedback. A few 980Ti here but those is the weaker one. And not interested for me. I wanted only the 980 Ti Lightning or the Zotac GTX 980 Ti AMP! Extreme. I expect getting back my money here if I wanted sell it on the used market here. The cheaper and weaker 980 Ti cards cost well above 200 Euro here home. So this won't be a big lose. -

A new baby is soon on its way to bro Papusan's Casa. And once again.... No money going to nvidia from me 🙂 Be too greedy is not profitable in the long term. They can just keep their 2 years old 30xx cards in their shelves for me. Let them loose money. GeForce® GTX 980 Ti AMP! Extreme. Wanted the 980 Ti Lightning but those are still too expensive. -
Dell have never offered socketed 3080 Ti mobile graphics cards. Same also for for 3080 mobile. Their last try was the DEll proprietary 2080 super graphics cards for their failed flagship Area-51M Remember all laptop OEMs remove more and more I/O ports. Add in more ports for power be it USB-C for more power won't happen. Just look at the Alienwares.... Dongles all the way to replace real I/O ports. And the USB-C adapters is a lot slower to charge the battery. + this type chargers isn't as reliable as real old fashion 330W power adapters. No in hell small and cute USB-C chargers can do the same as a real 330W Delta PSU. All graphics cards have power spikes. And software monitoring isn't reliable. As etc.... 3090 Ti power spikes (load peaks) can be as high as 50% above TDP.

Thanks. I would also send a message to tech support of your brand. I’m sure some know away how to fix this. DDR5 Is new but it can’t be too difficult for people/engineers find away for this. Maybe when AMD is out and the tweakers go on this may help but big companies should have the resources. They probably give a shit as long profits and not all experience this ugliness. -

Maybe have a chat with the Thaiphoon Burner author. This mess can't continue. This is more as a ticking bomb. Yep, if you have the money you can fix it but it (buy a second mem kit) and it take alot of your time. Shouldnt be like that. God bless the AM% buyers. Maybe they should buy a spare mem kit? I don't see they have much other options. -

I have no problems whatever OS (stability). This is what you call no issues. But the issues is the OS. Not stability. Ugly and not innovative. Just a step back to old Win ME/Win 8. Can't beat ugly. Or can you? And yep, the pig reminds me all too much about Microsoft. Fits very well. One thing for sure.... We will never ever see a equal good OS as old Win 7 and the LTSC versions of Win 10 2019/2021 LTSC. All we will get is Apple copy cats. We have exactly the same situations for OS as we have for high performance laptops... Almost nothing. If some people are happy with what they get (laptops and OS).... They will get exactly the same forwards. We who want something avesome will be screwed as always. Just look in the laptop world. Again... Nothing for us. Aka we are double screwed! Btw... I'm on the way make an 5= quintuple boot. But not sure what I will put in as the 5th OS for my pc 🙂 One thing for sure... It won't be Win 11. Yep, a lot talk about OS bro @Reciever but choice of OS is important for benchmarks who is this threads main topic (we are on topic). -

Be you sure brother. I have tested several Win 11 builds (even before Win 11 was a thing) and with all sorts of tweaks. Win 11 will never ever become a Win 7 or Win 10 (LTSC) OS. All too messed up and ugly. Not only the GUI (UI) is ugly. The whole OS is disgusting!!!! And I get zero gain from this touch friendly OS meant for Microsofts Surface-books. I run tripple quadruple boot on my pc and none of my ssd's have Win 11 installed anymore. Why should I spend more time on Win 11 when I see how bad it is? Nope... Not me. You can't fix stupid. And you can't fix flawed/destroyed. It's waste of time. And I have only one life on this earth. Why spend it on trash? Again... Not me. Happy you got it back in work. Imagine you had a full BGA setup with soldered on ram... You would be screwed. Even more screwed if you was out of warranty. God bless we still have computers you can do whatever you want with. -
This won't make Windows as OS any better. And a new OS just means a third OS coming filled with bugs. And updates will be equal buggy as today. Brand it Win 12 is more like putty new lipstick on a pig. Nothing good comes from Microsoft anymore. KB5015814 update is causing Start menu problems and 0x8007007e errors in Windows 11 The release of the KB5015814 update for Windows 11 earlier this week was supposed to fix problems with PowerShell as well as addressing security issues. But as has become disturbingly common, there have also been unwanted side effects for those who jumped on the update and installed it as soon as it was offered up. Some users are experiencing problems with the Start menu, with complaints indicating that the menu is being interrupted by an app opening and closing. There are also complaints about errors appearing after a failed installation of the KB5015814 update -- specifically error codes 0x8000ffff, 0x8007007e and 0x80073701.

Microsoft is starting to be pervers. Many prosumers/businesses use Pro versions of Windows. Not all is keen on jumping on the new and disgusting. They are on the way digging their own grave as a viable option. Of course they are forced to extend support on OS's some people need/want. Windows 11 will soon force you to make a Microsoft account https://www.windowslatest.com/2022/06/28/windows-11-will-soon-force-you-to-make-a-microsoft-account-but-theres-a-bypass/ Starting with Windows 11 22H2, setting up a new device will require a Microsoft account and internet connection. Previously, Windows 11 required a Microsoft account for Windows 11 Home installations only. Going forward, both Windows 11 Home and Pro will require a Microsoft account sign to set up the devices. -

Good news. Microsoft intends to extend paid support for Windows 7 for another three years. I'm sure they know a lot business just don't want their new and flawed OS. Not every day we get such good news bro @Ashtrix @Mr. Fox +++ Microsoft intends to extend paid support for Windows 7 until 2026 Earlier in 2020, Microsoft finished extended support for Windows 7. The company expected users and companies to switch to newer versions of OS, but some of them couldn't do that. So for enterprise customers who had to stay on Windows 7 Microsoft continued supporting Windows 7 on a paid basis. -
Maybe, but people want design and slimmest possible. And the bigger power adapters is still to big and heavy. And yep, the OEMs will offer what the customers want. I don't see that we will get 330w USB-C adapers in nearest future. And the OEMs is happy to offer laptops with less need for bigger power adapters. Less performance is a nice way to push you on refreshed models. A big win for the OEM. Probably also the same for people that is hanged up in Apple design. You just can't get both.... Real performance and Apple designed power adapters. Yep, castrate the HW's TDP and rely on Dynamic boost/Smart shift will help making nice and slim laptops and elegant and slim power adapters. Again, a big win for the OEM maxing out profits and push you on next models before time. My best guess forwards... People will demand thin slim and light USB-C chargers to match the laptops design. They prefer cute design over performance. 250W chargers is enough to power laptops with destroyed HW. And we both know Nvidia and the OEMs will deliver in loads.

3080 mobile is a castrated card. A lot worse than the desktop card. Even the more expensive 3080 Ti mobile is a huge failure. And I don't talk about the fake silicon branding. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Mobile is built on GA104. Not the bigger GA102 graphics processor as for the real RTX 3080 desktop cards. And the weaker 3070 desktop card who is built from same GA104 silicon ain't a 4K card and never will be. In short... The mobile cards linup is a scam! Enjoy also what happens when Nvidia tricking with vRam and bandwidth. https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3090-has-been-tested-with-custom-20gb-320b-and-12gb-192b-memory-bioses -
The editors at Notebookcheck now complains (warns buyers) about too big power adapters for laptops. 330 W AC adapters have been here the last two decades but why make a big fuss of it now? Yep, because of the Apple trend. I expect he would whine a lot more if he saw an 780W psu or our dual 330w psu setups we used for our old and nice Clevo's. Hope the different laptop OEM'S can see it and stop making AC adapters above 250w. You don't need that for power and TDP castrated laptops. Just offer small cute adapters/USB-C adapter as they offer for their slim and thin models. "UNISEX" has to be the new norm for tomorrows tech. Maybe we then will see new types complaints but more about worse performance than we see from today's so called high end gaming laptops vs desktops? The MSI Raider GE67 330 W AC adapter is so fat that it's heavier than some 15-inch laptops MSI Raider GE67 ships with a ridiculously large 330 W power brick because its Core i7-12800HX CPU is so demanding With great power comes great responsibility and a substantial AC adapter. The GE67 sports a powerful 12th gen Core i7-12800HX CPU that's so demanding that it necessitated a ridiculously large 330 W AC adapter compared to the smaller 280 W one that shipped with the older GE66. Yep, time have changed and laptops that fits meand need have no future. Neither now or forwards @electrosoft @jc_denton @Ashtrix @Mr. Fox

AMD And Intel CPUs Rocked By New Speculative Execution Attack With A Huge Performance Hit Do you remember a few years ago when everyone panicked over a couple of security flaws known as Meltdown and Spectre? These were a new type of security hole altogether, known as speculative execution flaws because they exploit the so-named capability of modern processors. That was back in 2018, and since then, every tech company under the sun has issued patches, firmware updates, and other guidance to mitigate the danger of these attacks. So that's all over and dealt with, right? Well... not exactly. As it turns out, one of the major mitigations deployed against Spectre, known as "retpoline", isn't actually as helpful as we thought. A new flaw, known as "retbleed", has been discovered by researchers at ETH Zurich. Retbleed evades earlier protections against a specific form of the Spectre vulnerability, including machines using the retpoline mitigation.. Both AMD and Intel say that they're not aware of anyone making use of these vulnerabilities in the wild, but patches aren't available yet. When they do become available, they may come with a performance hit of as much as 28%. Hopefully some clever coders will come up with a way to mitigate that performance loss. Microsoft try push you over on new hardware so you can enjoy their latest and most secure OS. Same do the HW manufacturers. They know they later have to patch flaws they have added to try optimize for better performance. Give with one hand and then take it back with the other hands. Or just hope you buy their newest and safer products that will suffer same mess after a couple of years. Why not just stop optimize for performance when you know you have to take it back later?
