  1. HaHa. I knew you got a new PSU with the needed cables. How is the cable from your PSU vs the one Thermaltake sell on their store? And yep, I know you wouldn't buy cables on Aliexpress๐Ÿ™‚ The offering (to stop the smoke and melting) from Thermaltake. Yep, not from Alienxpress๐Ÿ˜€
  2. Congrats my friend. Hope you both enjoyed the day ๐Ÿ™‚ Me and my wife have been married 27 years. And have been together 32 year ๐Ÿ™‚ Love is a good thing bro Fox. So send my best blessings to your lovely wife. The dam stupid bend mess from Intel eat up all my better thermal paste. Got it work at 3rd or 4th try. Was stuck at 800MHz and the SP prediction was total wacko. As a footnote. Idiocy in high potense that you need to take out the Cpu from the socket, then clear cmos (or flash new/old bios with it's risk) if the Asus SP prediction fail due intel's stupid made ILM. How dificult is it to let the clear cmos button do the job, Asus? Halfbaked. Here is few pict for bro @electrosoft You miss my "all black" crocs?๐Ÿ˜€ With the Governments robbery (25% tax) the chips cost $818 here home. Withous the greed the 13900K would cost around $615. SP101 (P111 and 83 for the babies) right out of the box. I will probably keep it. There is lack of chips here home also. And Asus follow Dell and added a new useless feature in bios. A temp cap alla Dell's TCC offset. Where do they get all the great idas from?
  3. Thermaltake PCIe Gen 5 Cable feels like one from aliexpress. Can't beat that feeling, LOOL How is your opinion on Thermaltake's PCIe Gen 5 Cable bro John?
  4. It does make sense.... Intel's new Tick/Tock process: -2 Cores/+2 Core๐Ÿ˜€ Tick... Tock... Tick... Tock --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Galax will be the only option that offer dual 16-pin power connectors. With monopoly now as EVGA is dead you are able to charge a nice premium for their best card. And Galax usually only offer custom firmware and custom software for the very few. And Galx is a no option most part of the world. What a sad direction for performance enthusiasts. GALAX GeForce RTX 4090 HOF is the first Ada GPU with dual 16-pin power connectors https://videocardz.com/newz/galax-geforce-rtx-4090-hof-is-the-first-ada-gpu-with-dual-16-pin-power-connectors GALAX RTX 4090 HOF is probably not yet ready for launch. The company usually sends bare boards to extreme overclockers for testing, while they prepare new coolers for retail launch. Those are not needed for extreme overclocking with liquid nitrogen.
  5. AMD Is Investigating Reports Of Ryzen 7000 Gaming Performance Anomalies In Windows 11 hothardware.com AMD has issued an advisory regarding reported Windows 11 versus Windows 10 performance deltas in certain games with its newly minted Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors. While the company has not observed any usual performance characteristics so far (and neither have we, for that matter), it is looking claims by those who say they have.
  6. As I said in previous post. Double price vs retail/item price is +1600$. Then there is a question about freebie from EVGA. So it should be 1600-2000$ or near half way to an custom 4090 if you spent the half on a new Cpu (or just buy two 13900K/KF and resell the worst bin for the profits). But whats matter most is whats fits the user's need. AMD goes all in for the environment and energy saving๐Ÿ˜ž (so no smoke, melting and fire as Nvidia offer)๐Ÿ˜ AMD goes the opposite way of nvidia. Referance will be 2x 8-pin or max 375w (included power from the PCIe slot). 20% lower power budget vs Nvidia's top dog means that AMD will leave 2-5% performance on the table. Could be that the performance with the new cards is good enough to reach the top without maxing out possible power budget. We'll see. AMD Radeon RX 7900 graphics card has been pictured, two 8-pin power connectors confirmed https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-radeon-rx-7900-graphics-card-has-been-pictured-two-8-pin-power-connectors-confirmed
  7. More on the topic. I would push for double the price of retail price + freebies he mentioned. Remember Evga is still not out with their new Z790 motherboards. I think Evga will promote good bench results for the release. So I would speed up this with Cens now if gaming is your priority nr #1. Gigabyte did the same for their motherboards. Great bench results to help the sales of their new boards.
  8. Not sure when the KS version pop up. But at that time it will lose lots of value. Also did you get answers what he thought regarding EVGA stuff? Maybe you can sell the freebees you may get as well (+1000$ for the Cpu).
  9. It seems Hwbot will force you to run latest Benchmate version for benchmarks which requires it. Will be fun with old ancient hardware. HWBOT news Update your benching Osses !! It's time to update them benching OSses ladies and gentlemen, from the 29th of October plz only use BenchMate 10.12.2 or newer version. Grab the latest version at the BenchMate website
  10. Remove features to add them back later is also Microsofts way do it. This way you will feel you get something back if you upgrade๐Ÿ™‚ Moving on, we have the 15th Gen Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPUs which will bring back the 24 cores that we get on Raptor Lake CPUs today. The Arrow Lake-S top die will utilize up to 24 cores which will be a combination of 8 Performance Cores and 16 Efficiency Cores. In the older days we was stuck with 4 cores in a long time. Now we will be stuck with a flood of Baby-cores. So in short... Intel's new Tick/Tock process: -2 Cores/+2 Core๐Ÿ˜€ Edit. Who moderate Nvidia's reddit forum? Nvidia themself?
  11. High core counts processors and incresed IPC for baby cores. Remember AMD Ryzen mainstream will most likely be stuck on with 16 cores. Or they are forced to do as Intel to keep being competitive on price. Bigger cores will always be more expensive.
  12. The future is less of P-cores. Will AMD follow Intel and offer less performance cores and offer 75% of the cores as baby cores as well? Don't games need more than 6 real cores in the future or/will small E-cores be better for gaming? The transition to trash cores continue... And why go down to 6 P-cores then add 2 more for the refresh on same socket? A nice way to milk/offer an performance upgrade path? Remove cores, then add them back to offer something new. Almost as Dell did with their gaming laptops @Ashtrix+++ Based on the leaked slides, it looks like Intel's 14th Gen Meteor Lake-S Desktop CPUs will take a step back and reduce the number of P-Cores while retaining the number of E-Cores. The lineup listed in the charts includes five different SKU configurations with the top variants featuring up to 22 cores in a combination of 6 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores. The P-Cores on the Meteor Lake CPUs are based on the brand-new Redwood Cove architecture while the E-Cores will utilize the Crestmont design. Intel Meteor Lake-S CPUs To Feature 6 Performance Cores, Arrow Lake-S With 8 P-Cores On LGA 1851 Socket And more about Nvidia's disaster. Jon Gerow, aka Jonny Guru (Director of Research Development @ Corsair), has posted a write-up about the 12VHPWR connector. SO, YOUโ€™RE GOOD WITH THE 12VHPWR CONNECTOR? Unfortunately, as of this writing (10/29/2022) Nvidiaโ€™s included adapter uses solder, some terminal Iโ€™ve never seen before (it has two splits instead of one) and I donโ€™t know what else. Which turns an otherwise excellently designed connector into a disaster. IS THAT IT? Probably not. Letโ€™s consider this a living document as we find out more and more about the new 12VHPWR connector and its potential issues.
  13. Yep, but I think nvidia will be plagued with this a long time if not all the buyers get a notice from where they bought the cards/notice in their bloatware package (GeForce Experience) to warn people about the danger using their stupid engineered adaper. Will be fun see what nvidia will say about this topci in coming press releases. Will they try talk it down (fire fighting to reduce the damage on own reputation) and say only a few adapters are affected by the flaws? We'll see ๐Ÿ™‚ Buildzoid isn't fully sure the problem Igorslab have found is the only one. But weird this badly designed adapter slipped through Nvidia's quality control/validation. Maybe they test own products in the same way as Microsoft do for their CU patches? Only a few tested, then rush it out to meet deadline. Only 4 today๐Ÿ™‚ October 29 Link Here Gigabyte 4090 Gaming OC 4x 8 pins October 29 Link Here Asus TUF 4090 4x 8 pins October 29 Link Here MSI Gaming X Trio 4090 3x 8 pins October 29 Link Here Gigabyte 4090 Gaming OC 4x 8 pins Thanks bro @electrosoft๐Ÿ™‚
  14. HeHe. What is a day without new smoke and fire? New one out. But where is Nvidia? Planning, an escape route without looking stupid? Just start the recall!! The longer they wait, the worse it will be. Just don't let the stupid engineers that said the adapter was good enough to be shipped with 4090, examine the burnt cards/adapters๐Ÿ˜ 40 minutes ago Another 16pin Adapter Melting (around 8hrs total use)
  15. Nvidia's reputation is at stake. And this only a few weeks before AMD launch their new graphics cards. AMD could'nt get a better before Christmas gift than what Nvidia gave them this time. If you have a melted 4090 connector in the US you can report it to the Consumer Product Safety Commission here. saferproducts.gov/ Fellow Canadian RTX 4090 owners, remember if you experience any melting issues with your adapter/connector, please report it to Health Canada health.canada.ca/en/hea... And this is just amusing... Always be prepared if you game on newest Nvidia graphics. Always have your fire extinguishers right beside the "ticking bomb". What can goes wrong here?๐Ÿ˜ Btw... Who will have to pay for filling up the fire extinguishers after the fire due unsafe Nvidia products? Nvidia or you? Hehe And some others like to live on the utter edge... Cardboard packaging is as you know flammable๐Ÿ˜
  16. Two new in a rove. The smoke and fire show continue with nvidia's new modern power adapter. New has to be better. Always. Also Microsoft think so. Nvidia wanted to cut costs with this new design. 1600$ for the graphics cards isn't enough to make big enough profits. Hence they was forced to cut costs. MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 4090 adapter burned A Friend Messaged Me to check on my 4090's connector Btw. What you think about the airflow direction on the fans below the fried 4090? Why use the bottom fans as exhaust fans? So he could smell the smoke faster?
  17. Remove older 5000 seriec Ryzen chips from that list and there you have the sales numbers for AM5 platform. Edit. Why not just reduce the price for the Cpu and MB and let the people determine themself what memory kit they want to buy? You Will Get A Free 32 GB DDR5-5600 Kit & $50 US Off AM5 Motherboards If Your Purchase An AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU At Microcenter https://wccftech.com/get-a-free-32-gb-ddr5-5600-kit-50-usd-off-am5-motherboards-purchase-amd-ryzen-7000-cpu-microcenter/
  18. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 OC Shootout: ASUS, COLORFUL, FE, MSI, GAINWARD tweaktown.com The ultimate GeForce RTX 4090 overclocking showdown: ASUS vs COLORFUL vs GAINWARD vs MSI vs Founders Edition... which overclocks the best? Best Overclocker You'd probably think it was the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition that is the best overclocker, but you'd be wrong... the ROG Strix RTX 4090 was topping out at just 2940MHz but your results may vary. The best overclocker that I've got here with my pile of custom GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards is NVIDIA's own GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition which hit 3080MHz (but crashed) but was perfectly stable at 3060MHz. Fun seeing Nvidia eat up their partners๐Ÿ™‚ A good beginning before we see next chapter "eat their own" (5x90 FE). Have control on chips and memory chips bin quality/supply chain, pay off. Give it one of the best price tag help as well. Nvidia vs AIB partners = 1-0
  19. Nvidia confirms Windows 11 Task Manager reporting is broken with latest 526.47 driver neowin ยท 5 hours ago 6 Nvidia has acknowledged the false reading issue that is currently affecting its graphics cards. The company has provided a temporary workaround for the problem with its latest 526.47 display driver.......
  20. Nvidia instructs AIB partners to send RTX 4090 cards affected by power connector issues directly to headquarters notebookcheck.net | Today The fun part.... Nvidia warn about use of 3rd party adapters ๐Ÿ™‚ Edit. A new one today. And as usual... And CableMod reps strike while the iron is hot ๐Ÿ™‚ Edit. And here is an new. But from MSI. The nightmare for NVIDIA has just began. When will we see the first house burned down? We've got out first MSI 4090 that melted (Suprim X)
  21. Every single KF chip will be used as KF (only binning will be for clock speed). If Intel was really smart they would release an 13900KFS ๐Ÿ™‚
  22. He meant his own chips, so I don't count in Intels 11th gen failure (backported to Intel's 14 nm+++++++ process node)๐Ÿ™‚
  23. 11th gen Mobile is on 10nm. 12th and 13th gen is 10nm+++++++ Edit. And older mobile on 10nm have a lot less cores, so.
  24. You need to compare amount cores, clock speed and what power budget the Cpu have. You can't compare Intel chips tuned to be in Jokebooks. A sidenote.... 12th and 13th gen have same IPC, so... All boils down to castrating the chips so it can be able to be used in thin and flimsy From what I remember he have 12800H aka 10nm chips (12th gen).
