  1. Finally got the Aqua Computer high flow NEXT I bought on the used market here home. Below half price. Works as it should. But Aquacomputer is a disgusting company. They have a license sub for their software after the free one year after purchase of your 100$ gear. Yep, 1 year sub and 10$ = 12.5$ with the nice Norwegian tax on top here. Imagine if Intel have done the same... Sell you an 600$ cpu and you have to pay 12.5$ every year to be able to use etc XTU or other software for your processor. Would people be happy paying Nvidia extra $$$ for their nvidia Experience software every year after purchase of their graphics cards? But no problem... The flow meter screen show what any bloatware can measure. And it’s nice you can turn of bling bling lights on top of the flow meter. Also check the water quality etc. Most can be done from there. So, I like it as is 🙂 One pump connected... 270-275 l/h or 4.5 l/min. Yep, the max l/h bragging from any pump vendors sales page or many review sites is pretty useless. Igorslab reviewed this flow meter vs his expensive flow meter tool. Fairly accurate measurement from his testing. So this is it. Fake numbers from reviews of single D5 pump with full water cooling setup.... 100-300 l/m is to expect from a single pump. Results will depends on how the custom cooling is setup. Not this pretty work of art below. Bro Fox. I like the EK-AF Angled 2×45° adapters. I prefer these over the short sharp right angled 90° fittings. If you have the needed place in or outside your chassis then the slightly bigger arch can reduce the unwanted sharp 90° angle to help reduce water flow restrictions. Maybe not the big gain with one or two but if you need a few of those 90° adapters for your custom cooling then I expect it will help on the water flow.
  2. Jayz think Nvidia can't handle a class action lawsuit. Better Nvidia being damn quiet about the burning 4090 Hell right now 🙂 From 16:30 And Nvidia trust own fire adapters more than real cables from 3rd party vendors. Isn't that cute?😀 "I tried again to see if another Nvidia rep will give me a different answer but I received the same statement "Please do not buy any third party cable. It may void your warranty". Nvidia on Cablemods "Please do not buy any third party cable. It may void warranty"
  3. Will AMD screw up once again and offer high core counts processors every second year forwards? Mid-cycle upgrade will be for gaming and low end processors. If so, the AM5 platform longevity will be less of a value for those that prefer high core count AMD processors. And 8 cores Ryzen x800 series processors are replaced with x700 SKUs. AMD Ryzen 7000 3D V-Cache CPUs Rumored To Come In 8 & 6 Core Flavors, A620 Chipset & Next-Gen APUs Planned For Mid To Late 2023 https://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-7000-3d-v-cache-8-6-core-cpus-ryzen-7000g-apus-a620-chipset-2023-rumor/ The first and most obvious one is the Ryzen 7000 3D V-Cache lineup that was confirmed by us to be unveiled at CES 2023. It is reported that the lineup will have only two parts, an 8-core, and a 6-core variant. So it looks like we will be getting the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the Ryzen 5 7600X 3D more or less.
  4. Hehe. For me it looks more light bluish White 🙂 Maybe the picture lure me. And yep, Asus should made an option so you could swap to white Q-code LED. Let it be red default but people should be able to change color. Edit. Checked also the pict on my phone. For me it look as llight blue White color. Also the clear tubing may lure me. I prefer all black and some white lights. Quite sure the tubing is to blame for the weird color (at least it looks weird for me). Yep the reflection from everything in the chassis may change somewhat the colors. Could also be the shadows. But when I see directly in the fans (part of it in the middle, not senter) I can see more or less white lights. Probably, the ligts and shadows from the photo shoot that melt into together. Even the water in the tubes have same bluish colors. Dificult for me to explain it better. The color in the chassis reminds me more about this...
  5. Beautiful setup bro Fox. But all white lights would be better 🙂 The beauty is put in the details (picture). Will Nvidia try a new redesigned power adapter/connector before they change the vBios? Or will they just jump directly on the firmware? Fully Connected 16-Pin Connector On The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Ends Up Melting Too https://wccftech.com/fully-connected-16-pin-connector-on-the-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4090-ends-up-melting-too/ Nvidia ‘still investigating’ RTX 4090 12VHPWR adapter issues https://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/matthew-wilson/nvidia-still-investigating-rtx-4090-12vhpwr-adapter-issues/ Unfortunately, the update doesn't contain many details. In discussions with Nvidia PR, we were told: “We continue to investigate the reports, however, we don’t have further details to share yet. NVIDIA and our partners are committed to supporting our customers and ensuring an expedited RMA process for them”.
  6. Mobile processors follow the same paths as for laptop graphics cards. Worse performance vs desktop counter parts. Worse in every way. Laptop jockey's will lose more and more performance than needed for each new gen HW. More here... A small note. Today, Sunday Nov 13, is the Father's Day here in Norway. Already started on the cake (5:52 AM so good night) 🙂
  7. And worse it will be bro Fox. Much worse. Yep, Mobile processors follow same paths as for laptop graphics cards. Worse performance and specs vs desktop counter parts. Worse in all ways. Laptop jockey's will lose more and more performance for each new gen HW. Mobile Raptor Lake CPUs may not offer substantial multi-threaded improvements over Alder Lake. So it seems that, for better or worse, Intel decided these mobile chips did not need more E-cores or P-cores. Core i7-13700H, Core i5-13500H Retain Same Core Count As Alder Lake Counterparts tomshardware.com https://www.tomshardware.com/news/core-i7-13700h-core-i5-13500h-retain-same-core-count-as-alder-lake-counterparts And you can see the same pathern here as well. Even worse beacuse mobile processors won't get same treatment. Laptop jockey's will also lose performance vs the same mobile Cpu soldered in this cute mini Nuc box from Intel... https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/10243/intel-nuc-12-enthusiast-serpent-canyon-sff-pc/index.html
  8. Yep, they are cheaper. But you get a lot for the money. I often buy used parts to cut costs. More expensive doesn't always provide a huge gain. Some want the most expensive parts even if the gain is minimal.
  9. HaHa. I think own fab + own packaging is cheaper than have to buy everything from 2nd hand factories. This is the reason AMD needed higher prices for own products. With worse times it will be harder for both make huge profits from less sales. And if you have too much staff, then you have to adjust it. The whole tech sector is in deep problems now. People have to buy bread and butter before they spend money on thing they may not need. So higher margins doesn’t help much if the volume is low due less sales (less people want to spend money). It’s about finding the right balance. Too expensive will only push people away from spending money. Nvidia etc sell out their new stuff. But this won’t last. New is only new with launch. And not all will buy cards around 2000$.
  10. Water will stay a lot longer in the Mo-ra due it's internal design so it should cool better. But you pay a higher price for this feature. Looking forwards to see your finished setup bro Fox🙂
  11. Have asked about buying this board on the second-hand market. I'll see if I can get it. Under half price vs new (barely used). Support DDR4 and not DDR5 but this should not be a problem. I am going to set up a reasonable gaming machine for my eldest son. Any suggestions on OK DDR4 (32GB)kit? Need to be a kit from the QVL list. My son will use it for gaming and for the usual on the web. He is not a tweaker. The board will cost around $160 here home. New is +350$. Yep it's an Asrock Z690 Extreme but an older used Asus Z390/Z490 board is at same or sligtly higher price here on the used market. So the price ain't bad. And he will get my golden 12900K and cooling for cheap. Target is Cyberpunk at 1440P with a mid end graphics card. Edit. I'm looking at led strips to have some lighs in my chassis. All white. No need for color change features or installing awful software to make it work. I have this option here home... akasa Vegas LED Strip Light White Bundle Corsair 1000D is a big chassis. The Akasa led strips above is only 50 cm long (without connectors). I'll need 60 cm long led strips to fill each side (without connectors). Any suggestions? Cheap, all white and bright. Most likely brand name due limited parts supply here home. And I I prefer Magnetic attachment. Thanks
  12. Put it the other way. If they don’t want to post W/m*k numbers they do it for a reason;)
  13. Intel Claws Back Notebook and Desktop PC Market Share From AMD In Latest Mercury Research Report This should worry AMD. Offer the most expensive platform don't pay off. Greed at the expense of market shares will reduce possible profits forwards. If you can't offer the best performance then you can't charge more than your competitor. Neither should you if you offer equal performance or features. This was doomed to happen. I really hope for AMD's part that they don't fall for their own complacency, and do the same for the server side... Because this will hit AMD much harder. Yep, greed doesn't always pay off in the long run. There is still some time to turn the tide but I am afraid it is too late. Which is sad for consumers. Competing on who offers the most expensive gear is not something we should expect from AMD. But the 5000 series Ryzen 9 5950X should have been a wake-up call to us all of what was to come. Yep, AMD shot themselves in the foot with a connon.
  14. Yep, the profits will help Dell continue in the same way forwards. Aka more garbage will pop out.
  15. Dell is out with the rehashed AW fryer-box. I wonder how they managed to avoid the NVIDIA bend-gate in this chassis. Maybe they have created an new PROPRIETARY Custom small sized 4090 Gpu, cable and connector. Put in an 4090 and 13900KF in this 44l black/greyish white glossy plastic covered Dell box will be the ultimate heat source for any house in North Scandinavia. A must have for this winter. I can imagine in my weird head all the drooling kids out there ask mama nicely "can I have it"... It's an ALIENWARE. MUST HAVE IT. NOW! Mama... Yes my love. It's an Dell so it has to be good What is 5% lower Cpu temps? 5% of 100°C is 5°C = 95°C temp target, LOOL The First Alienware RTX 4090 Gaming PC Is Now Available at Dell store...

  18. Test : Arctic MX-6 Thermal paste overclocking.com | 9 november 2022 https://overclocking.com/test-arctic-mx-6-thermal-paste/5/ The remaining question will be... Will also MX-6 suffer from uneven batches? Arctic as you know had to scrap MX-5 into EOL status for the mentioned problem.
  19. You can't go wrong with whatever cheaper 4090 you go with (if you find one) compared to any 4080 cards. $1550 or $1199 is still very wrong for a xx80 card. Imagine if Nvidia have put same premium for 4090 vs 3090 ? They added $100 on top for the 4090. What did they add in premium for 4080 over older 3080 ? You can clearly see there is something very wrong with this 4xxx SKU. Nvidia announces new RTX 3080 GPU, priced at $699
  20. If people want to pay $1550 for a 4080 then they are darn stupid. On a level I have never seen before.
  21. Micro Center Prices RTX 4080 Close to RTX 4090's MSRP If your budget can stretch to $1,500 for a RTX 4080, you may want to consider a RTX 4090 if you can find it near MSRP, which will be noticeably faster card for just $50 more on some models. https://videocardz.com/newz/microcenter-confirms-geforce-rtx-4080-us-pricing-from-1199-to-1549 Who in the right mind would pay $1550 for an ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 ROG Strix Oc'd? Is this placeholder (MC confirm the price) or do Asus/Micro Center think consumers are stupid? It seems Asus is one of the worst Nvidia partners regarding price setting of own home baked Nvidia products. This is laughable and should not be taken seriously.
  22. This so called 24 cores cpu struggle to come on par with an 16x desktop CPU from last year. What a waste. @Mr. Fox ready to jump on the first 18 inch laptop since the old days with Alienware? And be you sure... It will be thin. Yep, it will be thin as a pancake. Razers trademark. The laptop gamers will screeem........ 23. Not bad from an old fart near the North pole (where the sun almost never shine)🙂 Older the better bro @Mr. Fox? 😄 It seems Intel have closen the gap to Ryzen chips in Wprime 1.55 wth this gen processors. https://hwbot.org/submission/5117949_papusan_wprime___32m_core_i9_13900k_1sec_172ms?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/5117952_papusan_wprime___1024m_core_i9_13900k_25sec_626ms Btw. 18 inch laptops will come back. Maybe Dell Alienware will try the same and compete with Razer who will offer the thinnest 18 inch gaming book?
  24. I wouldn't sell it below 1200$. But thats me. And he have to pay for the shiiping. My asking price here isn't far away from what you have to pay for binned chips sold on the bot marketplace. Many binned chips will be sold at 1000$ when the owners is done with them. Sell while the chips is freshware or just keep it. Once the KS is out, the old is forgotten or the value shrink to 800$ (This depending on how the KS chips keep up). Unlocked Raptor chips have gone down in price.. Sub 600$ so double the price is fair to ask for.
  25. Thanks 🙂 Added it in my XTU Library. Only lacked XTU 7.9.0.24. Have 44 versions now in the library. I mean I still lack a few from recent. Same for the old past. I prefer save all. Yo never know if you find some old HW for cheap 🙂 Download ink: XTU Library - Nov 09, 2022 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nvidia have pushed themself in a corner. Why change something that have worked well before? The damn cute and pretty new Gpu power connector to match their small cute graphics PCB is a change "only for the change". As long there will be user errors, there will be fire and smoke. And no consumers will admit they did it wrong "because they won't be able to have it fixed on warrranty (user errors)". Warranty normally don't cover user errors!
