  1. Here's the review of the bigger and more expensive brother. Equal disgusting, but more expensive! And G.Skill still don't want spend 0.1 USD on a small piece sheet of thermal pad stamped on the PMIC (because that $0.1 USD will ruin the profits). G.Skill is more than ever hunged up in winning the Red Dot Design award. People buy with their eyes bro @Mr. Fox How it performs doesn't really matter. Eye candy beats common sense🙁 G.SKILL Trident Z5 Royal DDR5-8200 48GB Dual-Channel Memory Kit Review tweaktown.com https://static.tweaktown.com/content/1/0/10812_99_skill-trident-z5-royal-ddr5-8200-48gb-dual-channel-memory-kit-review.jpg https://static.tweaktown.com/content/1/0/10812_10_skill-trident-z5-royal-ddr5-8200-48gb-dual-channel-memory-kit-review_full.jpg
  2. Epic Games Store Giving Away The Callisto Protocol for Free on August 22 Published 3 hours ago by Hilbert Hagedoorn 12 Keep an eye out for this one, Epic Games Store users will be able to claim The Callisto Protocol for free next week. The Epic Games Store free game giveaways are as diverse as they are impressive. Epic Games Store free games are often smaller indie titles, but bigger budget, AAA game releases do occasionally make an appearance.....
  3. Hmmm. I wonder how long it will take Microsoft to thighten down the bug and make the performance worse in the adm account😁 Remember Microsoft is all in for better security/crashes. Peformance and or privacy will come second or last. And the icing on the cake..... Full access to your encryption Bitlocker keys and all your up-loaded data "forced by Microsoft" saved in their cloud servers. For the AMD users hoping for better Zen5 performance with an clean OS reinstall.... Microsoft will just love it😆 Currently, it’s not turned on by default for most devices, but this changes with Windows 11 24H2, which turns on encryption automatically during reinstallation. Windows 11 24H2 reduces BitLocker eligibility, turns on automatic encryption for more PCs Mayank Parmar - August 11, 20240 A Microsoft support representative explained that Windows 11 24H2 reduces BitLocker encryption requirements, allowing more PCs to be eligible for automatic and manual encryption. Internally, this is known as Auto_DE, with "auto" referring to automatic and DE likely standing for Device Encryption.
  4. LOOL. Yup, AMD has taken over the baton from Intel and relaunched Intel's old Skylake sins. And the admin fix did nothing for other workload tasks. But this also show show bad Microsoft have made Windows. I'm sure they put all the work for their ARM trash to perform better in Windows as well offer the best battery run-time. Remember they now use the new phone processors in their new Surface tablet pc junk. To do that they have to fiddle with the power plan settings in the OS. Then expect it will be screwed up for x86 processor family. This mess also show AMD's QC in the xorrect spot light. There is no real QC team at AMD. Zero or nada!
  5. Hmmm. You said Tomshardware got much better results than most others? Thats's because the test suite they used is heavly AVX 512 influenced tests. Otherwise... Almost the same sad story as with the others (The 9950X’s advantage over the 7950X also shrinks to 8% with those tests removed). And if you had tested with different tests you would see even worse results from Tomshardware as well. Several had to test the Zen5 chips with several clean OS installs because of the awful results didn't meet expectations. So this is not the main reason for crippled perverted bench results. Yup, AMD don't need enemies outside own house. They have them in loads in the AMD HQ. In short if you look into AMD HQ you'lll see.... Yup, but no one know for sure if a proper software/microcode could make gold of Zen5 chips. It's what it is bro @jaybee83😎
  6. @Mr. Fox AMD's Skylake moment. Intels's 14nm ++++ all over again. Is that what we call a progress bro @jaybee83? Newer has to be better @ryan Or only newer? AMD is now the brand in front that milking their customers.
  7. Huge shortage of GDDR6X vram hence Nvidia will offer slower GDDR6 for their 4070's. Damn nice. Nvidia know how to go around the U.S ban. Just let the gamers pay the price. I wonder how much bigger profits <nvidia can recoup from sell out their GDDR6X inventory at inflated prices? Be you sure... Jensen know how to max out profits even with the U.S ban on his neck. Chinese AI startups turn to GeForce gaming GPUs because Nvidia sanction-compliant AI GPUs are too expensive Since November last year, the RTX 4090s have been subject to export restrictions to China. This led to Nvidia creating the China-only RTX 4090D, which has fewer cores and a lower power draw. However, the chips that these startups are acquiring are most likely the full-fat RTX 4090 versions, not the watered-down 4090Ds. Despite the bans and sanctions against China, corporations and organizations can still acquire these chips en masse. For example, suppose an importing entity gets blocked in the U.S.. In that case, it either changes its name or address and then repurchases AI-capable GPUs before American authorities get wind of its operation and get banned for a second time. Back to AMD's new Zen5 flagship launch. Look at these Cinebench numbers. Now I can see why Intel scrapped HT. No need for it when AMD failed so hard... Hmmm. I start to wonder if Intel had someone inside AMD's HQ/test lab and could report back how bad it was. Yup, I'm 100% sure Intel know what to come from AMD long before we saw first numbers popped up as rumors. https://wccftech.com/review/amd-ryzen-9-9950x-ryzen-9-9900x-cpus-review/5/
  8. If Intel really wanted they could make real mainstream processors with only P-cores. See link below. But todays desktop processors is just rebranded mobile trash that need baby cores due the thin and small formfactor and need to compete with ARM to offer best battery run time with YouTube video running in the backgroud and with the screen at measly 150 Nits. Aka useless mobile hybrid mess for desktops. A big fat 24 P-core die and 48 threads with 320W TDP would be a good start for mainstream unlokeed processors. You are allowed to dream... But You'll will wake up fast enough to see a living nightmare with more baby-cores and Hybrid mess delivered with love from Intel. Intel Granite Rapids CPU breaks cover with 120 P-cores in new benchmark The Granite Rapids chip's massive number of 128 P-cores makes it one of Intel's most powerful chips. However, this also means it has an enormous power draw, with leaks pointing to a 500-watt TDP. In a dual-socket setup, we could look at a power consumption of up to 1,000W. For the AMD fanboys... AMD Rumored to Increase TDP of 65W Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X to 105W My take on this.... https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/amd-rumored-to-increase-tdp-of-65w-ryzen-7-9700x-and-ryzen-5-9600x-to-105w.453362/#post-6255431 Why bro @Mr. Fox won't get any more AMD chips😀 And if it wasn't for AMD we wouldn't have Intel chips with the modern AMD boost up and down behaviour😆
  9. There is a slight difference. Zen5 is made from an brand new node and architecture.
  10. Spot on. Let it sink in😀 Nice that you can save your money. Spend it on the little one.
  11. Hmmm. I think most of the fiasco is with 13t and 14th K chips. Most of the sold unlocked chips is vanilla K. Nice. northwestrepair fixing NorthridgeFix repair blunders. Not one blunder but many failed fixes. Maybe the card was repaired on an Monday?🙃 Not sure if the owner shipped in the card without paste but NorthridgeFix have done the half-baked solder job/repair.
  12. Exactly what some stupids ask for. It's a perverse world we live in now. Stupid is the new normal.
  13. Oh' my gosh. Why use up all the slots when you can get RGB slot covers? Will you buy a few of them bro @Mr. Fox? Or is it too disgusting? The (a)RGB madness sees no end. It just becomes worse and worse for every year. What next? This is absurd and laughable. Exactly what the bling bling lovers want. More cable salad.
  14. I'm afraid the negative will outwin the positive after the Intel failure with 13th and 14th gen chips. The sharks (Tech-tubers, tech-sites and influencers) will circle around Intel's wound a long time. The new Intel introduced limits with 0x129 should stay in works until you yourself changing settings for your likings. Only a change as etc turn off Enhanced TVB shouldn't render Intel's fixes in the new MC useless. Many ways to "not" stop performance enthusiasts from plaing with their tech toy's. But it won't stop with mc 0x129, so.... There is still hope for the gamer kids crying for more help or better fixes.
  15. Yup. But the solution to elevated voltage is more for the average gamer-boys and girls. Once they start fiddling in bios to try increase performance the hell is back with more complaints abot degraded CPU's. A never ending story will going forwards. And the techtubers will continue say you all should avoid Intel. Enthusiast should know how to tune their processors, so the fix for the SA bug is the icing on the cake. So a a double-edged sword. Aka one step forward then one step backwards for the average Joe if you know what I mean. Bad publicity will hurt us all. In the end you risk Intel forget enthusiasts and that all what we will get back is "halfway locked down" trashware as in Jokebooks.
  16. Yup. Here you see Nvidia improve their 4070 line with cheaper GDDR6 vram. Slower vram paired with an castrated bus. Can't be better. Remember this will be the newest 4070 SKU so it has to be better. But a very smart move. Nvidia need all GDDR6X vram they can grab for China. And they can sell more AD102 silicon. The GeForce RTX 4090D 48GB and GeForce RTX 4080 Super 32GB are available for rent at AutoDL, a Chinese cloud computing provider that rents servers for AI work. Pricing is a steal. You can rent a single GeForce RTX 4080 Super 32GB for $0.03 hourly. However, the service is currently restricted to China, as you need a Chinese phone number to sign up. Exclusive: GALAX GeForce RTX 4070 GDDR6 has been pictured, features AD104-251 GPU New memory variant for RTX 4070 is now confirmed.... Disable Intel default and the value of MC 0x129 fix is gone and worthless.
  17. I see where you go. But this is not an option here home. KPx will cost me more. See... I ordered this in early spring... 1099 nok = $101.60 USD One bottle of Kryonaut Extreme is 33.84g = So $3 USD per gram. Still damn expensive. But other lower end brand pastes here home will cost the same or even more. Etc Noctua NT-H2 High Performance will cost me $4 USD per gram. Me... Haven't much options but I rather buy the small bottle Grizzly and at least can save some money. And as FYI. This is with the dreaded 25% Norwegian tax included. Edit. 2 gram Thermalright TF8 cost +32$ or 16$ per gram. Isn't that disgusting? https://www.multicom.no/thermalright-waermeleitpaste-tf-8-2/cat-p/c/p1000445950 Yup it seems I have not many other choices than continue buying bottles with Kryonaut Extreme. A lot money to pay each time I need paste, but I haven't many other choices. Buy small syringes with thermal paste will cost me more. So that's not an option. Just pay and be happy🤢
  18. AMD won't patch all chips affected by severe data theft vulnerability "There are some older products that are outside our software support window." AMD has no plans to update its Ryzen 1000, 2000, and 3000 series processors or its Threadripper 1000 and 2000 models. In short. AMD processors released as late as late 2019 is too old to be patched. Yup, AMD care about their customers (corporate, governments and vanilla PC consumers). Sinkclose evades antiviruses and "persists even after OS reinstall".
  19. There is always a fix😁 Maybe very needed if you have Asus boards. And Intel offered us a free replacement program due sloppy QC (almost as in the old days but "for free") if you overclock your Cpu to the edge😀 The Cu being stupid in CBR-15. Or better say Windows being stupid. Maybe he buy wrong processors? Oh my gosh. The tech world need more experts as this one. Because you can trust them doing it right. New ‘instability patch’ shaves 9000 points off Cinebench multi-core score in 14900K tests pcguide.com The article above is taken from an link from Notebookcheck... Update | Intel 14th-gen stability BIOS update obliterates multicore performance with 23% loss in some benchmarks
  20. Regarding to Safedisk. Not fully solved. He get crashes if the push too hard. Maybe it's his mem settings but he say so. Fun video. There is no need for the 0x129 MC. Or new beta bios. Just use your favorite bios and tune in settings. Aka the old good way do it. Igorslab have tested. Both Kryonaut and KPx will pump out. The old Thermalright TF8 or the Corsair XTM70 is the way to go if you want longevity. Corsair is expensive. But use double amount paste for same lifespan means double the price🙂 We have both Thermalright TF8 and Corsair paste in the shop here home. Almost same prices vs Kryonaut Extreme. KPx isn't an option as this paste isn't sold here hom. I still have enough of Kryonaut Extreme (bougth the +30g barrel a few months ago) but I may try Corsair's XTM70 paste next time if the price point is ok'ish or is close to Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme. https://www.igorslab.de/category/kuehlung/waermeleitpaste-und-pads/ The KINGPIN Cooling is certainly a good paste for LN2 overclockers, but I wouldn't use it in a normal PC for long periods of time, at least not for a longer period of time of more than 6 to 9 months. This applies to all such specialized pastes, by the way, because if you optimize the properties of the matrix and the fillers for the low temperature range, then something is naturally lacking in other areas. Same with Grizzly Kryonaut (Extreme). Hence LN2 clockers prefer them. Easy to apply and easy to clean up in a hurry. And they works very well with the sub zero cold. + it helps that many of the top LN2 clockers (elite and the choosen ones) are sponsored by Grizzly and Kingpin. The rest of us pay premium for not much more over the other better thermal paste.
  21. Maybe it will reach low powered 4060 mobile junk in Jokebooks, but who should trust AMD's numbers? Just look at the video I posted about AMD and their fake bench numbers above. So don't hold your breath. Or this one below. This is AMD nowadays! Either frauders or they don't know what they are doing. Could be both.
  22. Google is killing one of Chrome's biggest ad blockers uBlock Origin will soon stop functioning in Chrome as Google transitions to new browser extension rules. uBlock Origin should continue to work fine on other browsers, including Firefox, Edge, Opera, and other Chromium-based browsers that support extensions, like my new browser bestie Vivaldi.
  23. I see you have popped into one of YouTubes biggest AMD fanboy'z channel... This YouTuber is useless to see or find proper content/info from. Save your valuable time brother for something else🙂 Life is too short to follow trash. https://www.youtube.com/clip/Ugkx34QYLNylqyaYJdZFEaellfpKpJJ6ZWLt See my reply above. See also......
