  1. Even if there is less corrupted results from the other 4000 series cards as etc 4080... You can't force limitations (own rules and special restictions) for 4090 if they all suffer from same mess from UL/Futuremark. ECC settings only for 4090 in NCP isn't a valid reason to diffrenciate them.
  2. This one I posted on OCN will be fun to follow. If you are in risk for 4080 vram corrupted benchmarks results and you can't "Enable ECC" in NCP for said graphics card, then why do you need have to do it for 4090 on hwbot? Because the elite/choosen ones for the most part get free binned 4090's to maximice their Global points? They shouldn't differentiate between 4000 series cards if they all suffer from same vram corruption. Aka no need to Enable ECC video memory settings in NCP for 4090. Just moderate results as they should do for rest of the 4000 series graphics SKUs. My post here. The Steel Nomad mess is discussed in the 4080 forum. https://www.overclock.net/threads/official-nvidia-rtx-4080-super-owners-club.1800848/post-29334454 Edit. Just report them... Yeees, sure it will works. And UL/Futuremark said exactly the same for eGPU results flooding the different 3DM leaderboards for Jokebook's. And the outcome... Every 3DM benchmark leaderboard on 3Dmark search is destroyed with the said eGPU results. And why will it be better now when they never cleaned up for gaming Jokebooks? Hmmm
  3. Here's the thing. New is always better. See bolded text above. This isnt a step sideway. Its a regression to the worse. But people buy it, so I think they are fine with the new situasjon (newer hardware). Less has to be more bro @ryan For gaming purposes, however, the NPU brings nothing to the table to improve the experience as of 2024. If anything, it's arguably detrimental as raw CPU performance has dropped when compared to the Core i9-13900HK in last year's x16 R1 since precious die space has been reserved for the new neural processor. Alienware x16 R2 laptop review: A step sideways from the x16 R1 Modern people......
  4. Yep. I didn't expect another answer on my question. In short... He said people wasn't smart enough to understand the score ranking and or the benchmarks. And now you clearly can understand why the modern tech has become as it is. See bolded text in your reply/quote. And the bottom of my reply here. Would be better if the users spent less money... This would force the tech industry to change to the better. See the whole video. Just rumors but it fits very well with the rumored info above.... Why max out the performance if the competitors doesn't want to compete? Capped down GPU in all ways doesn't need huge coolers. Here's more disgusting new modern tech.... Spacetop
  5. @Mr. Fox The cat has come out from the bag. I got answer on my legit question about why not go back to the roots. Directly from UL/Futuremark's representative. The whole reason UL/Futuremark have changed goal and how they make and design new modern 3DM benchmarks is because of stupid PC users. The sad truth.... Stupid PC users is the main reason we have got toy-like benchmark software from UI that can't or don't show how your pc doing in workflow and in games as for etc 3D benchmarks. Didn't understand = Stupid. Isnt that correct explained bro @ryan?🤔 Now you all can see why 3DM Steel Nomad never ever will be a real 3DM Time Spy replacement. It was too complicated to understand by the (average) modern computer user/gamers. The 3DMark Time Spy benchmark produces a 3DMark Time Spy score, a Graphics test sub-score, and a CPU test sub-score. The scores are rounded to the nearest integer. The better a system's performance, the higher the score. Is it very complicated bro @ryan? Do you need a master of science to understand this very "complicated" metrics? Or is dumb the new normal? Me who thought the world was going forwards and that people become smarter due more helpful tools and more help on the internet. When >I was a kid.... I only had books.... Maybe young people should go back to books and start use pc's and internet less? You can ask yourself.... What will AI do for tomorrows computer users/gamers or ordinary people? Make them dumber than ever? @Rage Set
  6. Nice. Maybe Nvidia may go back to smaller coolers for their next gen graphics cards. The current gen 4090 cooler is designed for above 600W. But as we know... AMD didn'twant to compete for the performance crown. Already now we see Nvidia partners toying with slimmer coolers for4090 (cut costs). I expect we will see a real cut down on cooling capacity for next gen cards (MSRP cards). In short... Nvidia could shrink max allowed power for their next gen graphics cards. A smart move... This will reduce the chances for burned up cards as 4090 due the new modern slimy and thin trash 12+4 power connectors. Nvidia vs gamers = 3-0 Geforce RTX 5090 may be smaller than RTX 4090 Graphics card today 20:00 According to new information, Nvidia's Founders Edition variant of the Geforce RTX 5090 will be a notch smaller than its predecessor. RTX 5090 may be surprisingly svelte — twin-slot, twin-fan model on the way, says leaker If this new information is true, it makes the RTX 5090 a much slimmer design than the 4090 FE, which was delivered with a triple-slot cooling solution. Other AIB partners offer larger even 4090 designs that could take up almost four slots. A smaller and slimmer flagship GPU would be a welcome change after several generations of larger and larger GPUs. Yup, some don't understand "why you can slim down" the cooling capacity. With less or lower power consumption (shrinked board power) you don't need huge coolers anymore. All this signaling more power efficient GPU's. Or that Nvidia know 100% for sure that AMD don't have something to compete with.
  7. And same can be said about Zen5 Ryzen cpu's if the rumors is correct. Not keep up with an older gen Intel Cpu in single core workload with the new and shiny coming from AMD is embarrassing. But as you know.... They all will put all the rotten eggs in same basket so... Why bother with real performance improvements that doesn't cater to AI? The whole tech industry is pretty rotten. Microsoft has opened up for a throwaway mentality with Copilot feature in their OS. And all HW manufacturers wants to join the journey. Buy now, then throwaway tomorrow. How long will Microsoft let you use your current hardware before they push new hardware requirements for newer OS builds?
  8. And here we go again...... The new modern tech trend don't take a break. More crap being produced. @Mr. Fox see the possible fix at the bottom. Not only do you need to cripple the performance with ECC Enabled for Hwbot submissions with 4090's. Now you may see another performance hit with automaticly create screenshoots while the benchmark running. When will we see the utter bottom? Again.... Is new/newer always better bro @ryan😍 3DMARK STEEL NOMADU sers are annoyed by “bug runs”, UL is considering measures “Bug runs” are still possible in 3DMark Steel Nomad. This annoys users, but it doesn’t have to stay that way: UL is considering countermeasures. UL Solutions has “some ideas” ComputerBase asked UL Solutions whether this will change in the future and received an answer. The developer explained that they are currently considering how to deal with the problem. They already have " a few ideas ". However, UL is not yet being more specific. One possibility would be to create screenshots during the benchmark and submit them together with the validated result. In the cloud, UL could then (automatically) compare the screenshots created with reference screenshots. However, this could cost performance and thus have an impact on the result. See also my post on HWBOT forum here... https://community.hwbot.org/topic/234462-3dmark-steel-nomad/?do=findComment&comment=667836 See.... The new 3DMark Steel Nomad ( analysis , community benchmark ) is likely to be the leading benchmark for setting gaming-related performance records in the coming years. What a JOKE! PS. The sluggy forum performance is now so bad that you almost can't use the forum anymore.
  9. FULLSCREEN POP-UPAdvertising for Windows 11 is annoying even on incompatible PCs Microsoft is once again drumming up support for Windows 11. Now also in full-screen mode on incompatible Windows 10 PCs. No option for permanent advertising stop Instead, you can use the advertising window to follow links to Microsoft's website and find out more about the end of support for Windows 10 as well as new Surface and OEM systems that already run Windows 11 from the factory. Microsoft has also included a "Remind me later" button in the advertisement. However, there is no button for "Don't remind me and don't show any more ads."
  10. The bash contest continue. Going after Jufes in almost every video now. Read the comments section :=) Some should take a break from posting new YouTube videos. Bash the other YouTubers to show themself in a better lights doesn't look pretty or nice. It will hit back.
  11. Hmmmm. New/newer is always better. So learn from your mistakes @ryan😁😁😁 Same with laptops. From 2016 and forwards it went downhill. Even worse with laptops from other brands than Clevo. They all reached the trash bottom already in 2013/14. Or +10 years ago.... And the stupids at Gigabyte goes the wrong paths. Why not start fix their main problem than fix a no problem? Gigabyte's new motherboard supports massive 128-pound GPUs — Reinforced slots still can't fix GPU PCB cracking https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/motherboards/gigabytes-new-motherboard-supports-massive-128-lb-gpus-reinforced-slots-still-cant-fix-gpu-pcb-cracking Why are people more stupid today?
  12. This have been a hot topic on Igorslab... Maybe take a look. RDNA3 and too high hotspot temperatures on some AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT(X) – Cause research
  13. You forgot... Both Nvidia and AMD push the gamer developers to optimize next gen games to run harder on current or old graphics cards. Add more features (more bling bling for the eyes) so the games can't reach the targeted FPS for a certain screen resolution. What was okey FPS for 4K will be 14440P. Or reduce the bling so you start hate the game in the prefered screen resolution. Hence people jump on new. Not because they want but because they are forced to do so.
  14. At least you can still cross-flash latest gen Nvidia card. Even Nvidia founders Edition with the custom flash-tool. But this won't last long. Nvidia won't accept cross-flash forwards. Because Nvidia was probably not very happy when some come up with the right tools where you could flash any vbios from custom AIB cards over on their own FE branded cards.
  15. Hmm. That one looks very familiar. I pick up a few of them everyday when I walk with The Little Thief😁 And it fits very well also for this disaster from Lenovo....... 18. Same al with Google Chrome. They follow same recipe for disaster as Microsoft for their OS. Also for Windows 10. https://schneegans.de/windows/unattend-generator/
  19. And google looks more and more as a disaster. You can't trust the search results with and from Chrome anymore. Google’s AI Overview is a “disaster” Google's new AI search engine AI Overview generates strange errors. The search engine provider is now deleting them manually.
  20. Expect Microsoft will continue test and change power profiles in windows to fit their new low power ARM processors. It's all about power saving and how long the new junk can run on the battery with a YouTube video in the background. It's all about maxing out battery life. And desktop hardware will get exactly same power settings. Only with minor changes to scheduler for the Intel hybrid Junk. Microsoft announces new Surface Laptop with Snapdragon processors
  21. For those that is tired of dealing vith vanilla Home/Pro version. Windows 11 LTSC 2024 arrives making TPM and Secure Boot optional — lower storage requirements, too
  22. @Mr. FoxThe way all Windows versions should have worked. Optional options. Microsoft force the gamer-kids and aunt mary Secure boot and whatever. But corps that need more security can do whatever they want. Disgusting? Windows 11 LTSC 2024 arrives making TPM and Secure Boot optional — lower storage requirements, too
  23. Thanks 🙂 This is the benchmark thread. A stripped down OS coming from Microsoft should also apply in this thread 🙂 What OS you use is important for benching. I can also put it in the Windows 11 thread.
  24. What brand and type Liquid metal have you used? Maybe change brand and type Liquid metal. They are mixed differently so maybe you could try that. @Mr. FoxThe way all Windows versions should have worked. Optional options.
