  1. Chrome incognito mode not so private: Google to settle in class-action lawsuit Did Google portray incognito mode as more private than it really is?
  2. Remember the 4090 is a very great selling graphics card. And China + the rest of the foreign banned U.S countries stands for 1/3 of Nvidia's Global sales of graphic cards. So not many AD102 dies will go to spill. The question will be.... Will there be enough defective AD102 dies for a global sales of 4080Ti ? And how many of the 4090D for the "gamers" will the Chinese AI companies grab for AI workloads? Hmm.... A possible 4080Ti with ~12416 cores and 20GB of memory need to cost at least $1399 if nvidia want to bother with it. They have done magic (Max-Q) before... So who knows😀
  3. Same fan model. But this is the slower 2000 RPM model for the same awful MSRP. And all testers outside Igorslab said they are overpriced and not worth the price or price vs performance. And lower performance vs some cheaper fans doesn't make it more appealing. A huge Nope.
  4. Today's stupidity x 2. First the new SFX PSU from Silverstone. If you have an Asus MB and want a used Nvidia or the newest AMD Radeon graphics card you'll lack 8-pin connectors. Many Asus MB will eat up 3x 8-pin connectors (2x8-pin for the Cpu and 1x8 pin for the MB). Yup, newer has to be better @Rage Set🤔 And you can't use custom mod cables with 8pin power connector with 8pin pigtail extension. Because his modern junk doesn't support it. Stamp... Failure. SilverStone Intros Extreme1200R Platinum, an SFX-L PSU with 12V-2x6 Connector techpowerup.com And what have Alphacool done with their price strategy? Yup, it's only a fan bro @Mr. Fox But would you pay same price for a 1000 rpm "metal" fan as for a more potent plastic fan that can push 3000 RPM? Hmmm. Today's tech companies is weird animals. The Alphacool Apex Stealth Metal 120mm has the same price as its 3000 RPM variant in the online stores I looked at, which doesn’t make much sense. Since the Power (3000 RPM) version is also PWM controlled and everything else is the same, build quality-wise, there is no point in getting the lower speed version at the same money. Moreover, airflow is among the lowest in this category (120mm fans with 25-27mm thickness), while static pressure as a max value is low. The Alphacool Apex Stealth Metal fan is a highly quality fan, but what about performance? After the review of its “Power” sibling, I decided to look at the less powerfull member with 2000 RPM max speed, to check how it performs. https://hwbusters.com/cooling/alphacool-apex-stealth-metal-120mm-fan-review/10/
  5. Isn't it cute? Confirmed, Nvidia can sell GPUs with +12% less cores for the same prices. Hmmm.... Wonder how many top binned AD102 dies will go into the Defective version of 4090 for the Chineese market. The newborn 4090 Defective will most likely also go into the Chineese AI Servers. And where will an possible 4080 Ti for the Global market fits into this? @electrosoft😀 https://videocardz.com/newz/chinese-nvidia-rtx-4090d-to-launch-today-with-reduced-tensor-core-specs
  6. Yup even more bang-for-buck if these disgusting prices below are correct.....🤮🤢🥴 Yes, I really hope this rumored prices is wrong. But it's Nvidia products, so..... NVIDIA's announcement for the RTX 40 SUPER series is scheduled for CES 2024 on January 8, with detailed pricing and clock specifications yet to be released. The above data provides an initial understanding of the variations between each model. The estimated prices in USD, excluding VAT, are approximately $1,461 for the 4080S, $1,120 for the 4070TiS, and $885 for the 4070S. Converted into Norwegian prices incl Tax.... $1826 for the 4080S, $1400 for the 4070TiS, and $1062 for the 4070S. Then add the currency exchange fees the retail take. Often up to 10% on top. Is this a huge joke or real? I have to pay +$1062 for the cheaper 4070 Super. Nope, not in Hell. My 4090 HOF looks like better and better value for every months that come. GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER: Technical Details Revealed - AD103 Silicon, 16GB Memory Published 10 hours ago by Hilbert Hagedoorn The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is anticipated to feature 16 GB of memory, potentially using a 256-bit memory interface. This suggests the use of the larger AD103 silicon, as opposed to the AD104 silicon currently used in the RTX 4070 Ti. The RTX 4080 SUPER is also expected to have 16 GB of memory with a 256-bit interface, similar to the standard RTX 4080. This is achieved through the AD103 silicon, which allows for 76 out of 80 Stream Multiprocessors (SM) or 38 out of 40 Texture Processing Clusters (TPC) to be active.

  8. They even abandon their one time great support nowadays. A weird way to cut costs before they go out of business. Yup, my advice a few days ago, to avoid their new PSUs/gears is still valid. Avoid, sinking ship. Sell all your EVGA gears on the used market before it's too late. Try grab back most of the money while you still can. The Z690 gen motherboards was in short a tragedy so nice to see Evga's old Z690 kick ass and can be on level and above most of the newer gen Z790 boards.

  10. The 4TB WD_Black SN850X NVMe SSD is back to its all time low price at Amazon The 4TB WD_Black SN850X Gen4 NVMe SSD, with read speeds of up to 7,300 MB percent and with Microsoft's DirectStorage support, is discounted at Amazon at its all-time low price of just $229.95. Here home... Cheapo $372.40 USD. Or +140$ above.
  11. Dont forget.... You are not limited with space in a desktop chassis. In laptops you haven't much other choices than buy the biggest M.2 NVMe you can find. Just look in an Mac-Joke. Soldered ssd nand/chips because of the very limited space in the Jokebooks chassis. Many lap-jokes come with only 2x M.2 slots. Some with only one or even only with the shorter 2240 M.2 ssd's.

  13. Merry Christmas to you all... Dec 24 is already popped up here in the cold North🙂
  14. You can also blame PCI-Sig and the engineers for this. They could have done a better job. And they didn’t have to make the power connector so damn tiny. They could have pushed nvidia to accept a slightly bigger 12+4 power connector. 50% bigger would have made a big difference paired with better and more secure design. A more heavy hook and latch with the same tiny designed connector that locks the connection would also help. You can barely hear the locking. Sometimes you don’t even hear it.
  15. Maybe the reason they gambled on the v1.1 saved their assss. At least to reduce the huge loss. They had their golden chance to stop this before it become too late. But I expect they was afraid for the problems that would occur. The same would happen if they stopped offer angled adapters after the v1.0 failure. The loss would be there anyhow. See also... The problem is that, even if you have adequate insurance, the product recall service won’t be a smooth ride. You’ll still be required to deal with a wealth of regulatory issues and to engage regularly with your insurers – all while trying to work out what went wrong on the first place. It’s not enough to simply have product recall insurance. Should you ever need to make a claim, your insurers are unlikely to offer you any advice or guidance. This is likely to make the process even more stressful than it should be, and as a result, you may not receive everything you’re entitled to. What Does Product Recall Insurance Cover? And I think not all product liability insurances products will cover everything. This mess will hurt them bad. Proper QC cost money. Same if you use quality parts. But if you shrink on everything it may cost you even more. Greed can sometimes bite you in your butt.
  16. Could be the recall will cost Cablemod $95 USD for each damn adapter. Jayz say at least 50.000 units. If we talk about 100.000 adapters this may cost them close to $10 millions USD. Thats a lot of money. Even half the amount as etch the suggested 50.000 adapters will cost them. Then you have the brand damage. That come also at a price. Will most of this be covered by insurance (if they have Product Recall Insurance)? @Mr. Fox Or are they doomed to take a huge loss?
  17. Yup. Hence I went with the bigger H7 Flow for my son. More space is better than lack of space. You never know what you'll put in later. The build for my son.
  18. I think it doesn't matter much with weaker GPUs. Buy the i9 if you know you'll get an 4090 within short time. 4080 is overpriced so that card shouldn't you touch for now. But as bro Fox said.... Maybe buy an i5 now and grab a cheap i9 once the 15th gen is out. Or see if the difference in price isn't that big between i5 or i9 when you start buying parts..
  19. I would avoid EVGA PSUs. Rather look if you can find an used or new Corsair HX1500i for cheap. Or the revised model with ATX 3.0 specs. The nice thing with Corsair.... They still haven't jumped on the 12VHPWR connector hype train for the PSU panel. And you get loads of 8-pins connectors. The new and more modern models barely fit in 5 of them. Some even come with only 3 or 4 of the 8-pins connectors. Avoiding EVGA come from many reasons. You don't know if they are here the next 3 years and they have shrinked on quality and cut down on warranty. Both, is big nopes.
  20. Hope Cablemod and their shilled mods can't ban me in the nvidia reddit forum. Me is all too honest🙂 Or can they bro @electrosoft? Yup. Some don't like that you are honest. Will see if CM will un-bann us honest people, HaHa And if you have followed CM reps claims about their "safe cables with the 12VHPWR connector" don't suffer from same melting... They are lying All Cpus now is bottleneck with 4090. Even at 4K. But this shouldn't stop you from building a new PC today or tomorrow. There will always come new HW and they all will suffer from the same problem.
  21. How big will the loss be if Cablemod now have to refund +100.000 angled adapters? Each adapter costs minimum $29.99 USD. And what with the shipping costs? You never got what you paid for. Will be fun see what pops up. I would claim all money back. Also for the shipping.
  22. The sad part. I wonder how many still have the v1.0 and continue use it. And how many stupids bought the v1.1 and will use it thinking "newer has to be better" @ryan🤐 until it melt down the cards. Could be as much as 100.000 adapters out there. Maybe Cablemod also this time can trick some people over on their "so called safe cables" with angled connectors to reduce the loss from this adapter failure. And how many have the angled adapeters for the lower tier cards as 4080/4070Ti and 4060 Ti thinking they are safe? They all will burn up in the end. It's only a question of time.
  23. @electrosoft Cablemod 1.1 adapter melted my 4090, had it secured all the way 100%, v1 had no issues Posted by u/CableMod PLANNED VOLUNTARY SAFETY RECALL OF CABLEMOD 12VHPWR ANGLED ADAPTERS, V1.0 and V1.1 Dear Hardware Community: It has come to our attention that certain CableMod 12VHPWR Angled Adapter V1.1s may be defective. We have since decided to discontinue sales of our angled adapters. We will be conducting a voluntary safety recall for all CableMod 12VHPWR 90 ̊ and 180 ̊Angled Adapters V1.0 and all CableMod 12VHPWR 90 ̊ and 180 ̊ Angled Adapters V1.1 because of the potential risk that the male connector could become loose, overheat, and melt into the GPU. This recall will apply only to our angled adapters and will not affect our angled cables. Yup. I was spot on @Rage Set @electrosoft😁 But "voluntary safety recall" whats that? So people can have a ticking bomb for the Christmas/New Year holidays? PLANNED VOLUNTARY SAFETY RECALL OF CABLEMOD 12VHPWR ANGLED ADAPTERS, V1.0 and V1.1 cablemod.com And the stupid mods at Cablemod reddit forum banned me for only telling people the truth... Oh'well, can't expect more from that part.
