More on this. Yup, exactly as good old Gigabyte... ZOTAC rejects RTX 5070 Ti fan-issue RMA over “limited tools” and PCB scratches, then offers to dispose of the card Second e-mail. Zotac will be peased to help you to dispose the card. Better say, will you buy another one?😀 -

Work in progress🙂 I may need make an newer OS when I have the time. The old Windows 11 version I have ain't the best for some of the more "modern" 3DMark benchmarks. I may have some time for it in the Christmas holidays. But not what I want to spend my time on. Everyday I see new bugs pop up for the new and shiny buggy mess from Redmond HQ. So maybe it's better wait a year, LOL http://www.3dmark.com/pr/3734586 Great times forwards for pc consumers/gamers. Buy more and get more as Jensen say🤮 -

Too good to be true? And if the connector works as they claim.... When will we see them in the glabal market? CM also claimed their 90 degree adapters was fantastic and reliable. Segotep's Titanload 12V-2x6 cables use heavier-duty pins to prevent meltdowns — brute-force approach purportedly drops peak temps by up to 72% This is nice.... It just follow today's new norm. AMD's problems return: AGESA 1.2.8.0 causes critical crashes and forces several manufacturers to recall their BIOS versions. Could this be the problem that halted shipments of the ASUS ROG MATRIX RTX 5090? We're talking about an electrical buzzing or chirping sound. It's not a problem, but it does suggest poor quality or rather inadequate quality control for a graphics card that costs €4,099. https://elchapuzasinformatico.com/2025/12/asus-detiene-venta-rog-matrix-rtx-5090/ -

I probably could but the xx.85 is more for benching. I'm not so much into gaming anymore. And I also love play with the older cards I have. Connect and then disconnect the tiny trash connector several times doesn't make it better for benching in between the older cards with the 5090. The fragile connector destroy the fun. Every time you swap cards the connector will wear out. Thanks good I have the "overpriced" pin monitoring😀 -

I expect this mess would be a disaster doing RMA with Gigabyte and Zotac. And i'm not sure the RMA process would be much easier with the other brands. I have never seen isopropyl alcohol remove the printing. But 100% sure that Gigabyte cards would get the well known round sticker with the red arrow. Aka RMA rejected (classic Gigabyte). The VRAM printed circuit boards remain on a Thermal Grizzly thermal pad. The writer's slight concern upon seeing the printouts on the thermal pad is perfectly understandable. However, there's no need to panic; the card is fine, it's simply a minor cosmetic issue, as everything else is functioning correctly. Yup, the Chinese have no problem get 5090's. Nvidia and their AIC partners know exactly why we have limited stock and inflated prices for 5090's. Because they all are part of this fraud. NVIDIA reportedly cuts B40 AI GPU production as Chinese AI companies use RTX 5090, Hopper GPUs NVIDIA is reportedly cutting B40 AI GPU production for China, as Chinese AI companies 'largely dependent' on RTX 5090, Hopper and locally-sourced AI chips. -

I don't like this xx.85 XOC vbios. Unstable. Fans work but I can't see fan rpm in GPU-Z. Need to try more later. But still 11th on Hwbot 3DM Firestrike🙂 https://hwbot.org/benchmarks/3dmark_-_fire_strike/rankings?rankingType=user&page=0&cores=1&hardwareType=gpu -

Black EPDM rubber tubing. Find the cheapest you can get. No need for maintenance with those tubes. I don't like clear tubes. They all will leak some plasticizer. Some worse than others. All black brother 🙂 Seme as my crocs..... Can't live without them. Smart. Put all the eggs in one basket. Micron is killing Crucial SSDs and memory in AI pivot Btw. OpenAI is so desperate for RAM modules that it's sending employees to stores and retailers to get gaming kits. We are witnessing an escalating situation in the DRAM memory market, reaching levels that are, to put it mildly, unsustainable for the end consumer. -

I wonder what is wrong with the Matrix. Asus went cheapo and cut cost on the QC ? And will we see an updated vbios for the replacements now? ASUS RTX 5090 ROG Matrix Shipments Paused Amid Potential QC Investigation Swedish retailer INET.SE has temporarily stopped shipping ASUS’ GeForce RTX 5090 ROG Matrix graphics cards after identifying a possible quality-control irregularity in early production batches. The retailer issued a notice to customers explaining that it is awaiting clarification from ASUS before releasing more units. Edit. Will this increase the sinking sales of motherboards?🤐 Retail price changes will appear gradually as stores replenish stock. AMD quietly raises CPU prices — Ryzen 9000 and older chips affected AMD Ryzen 9000 series processor, which will soon become more expensive. (Image source: AMD) AMD has quietly raised CPU prices at the distributor level, affecting both Ryzen 9000 and older models. Retail prices will climb as stores restock, adding to an already sharp rise in PC-building costs driven by memory spikes. The new U.S. adm likes to spend it's citizens’ money. Newer is always better😀 Or is it just newer bro @Mr. Fox A dose of reality for Microsoft: almost 1 billion PCs are still running Windows 10, and half of them can't (or don't want to) upgrade to Windows 11. Microsoft has been making operating systems for almost 40 years, and for some reason, we've seen a pattern that usually includes one good OS and one bad one.
-
Why go with the worse OS when you have Win 10 LTSC ? Doesn't this video fits the Win 11 thread?

Skyrocketing DDR5 RAM prices reportedly have an effect on motherboard sales, which have halved In a new report from GazLog from Board Channels, motherboard makers like ASUS, MSI, and GIGABYTE are noticing a whopping 40-50% reduction in motherboard sales compared to the same period of 2024. Does this mean they will increase the prices on the MB now to gain what they lose from half the sale? 😀 Two ram sticks (32GIG) cost now the same as a high end motherboard. -

Another way to see it... But yaea, 5090 live their own lives. Same as with 24GB 4090's. NVIDIA restocks GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition in Europe https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-restocks-geforce-rtx-5090-founders-edition-in-europe Can't compare them. 5090 ain't a 600W graphics card. And not many run 1000W on 4090's. Neither did many go above 660-700W for daily use with their 4090's. 800W ain't healthy for gaming all day long with single tiny trash power connector. Edit. Why not make a 800W Matrix bios for Asus cards if they are so worried that people will use the 2001W XOC version? The cat is out of the bag. Just release it. Unofficial ASUS RTX 5090 BIOS Emerges With Extreme 2000W Power Target ASUS responded quickly after the BIOS began circulating. The company emphasized that installing unofficial firmware carries significant risks, including potential hardware damage and warranty loss. Because the BIOS bypasses the standard checks used to keep the GPU and its VRM within safe operating conditions, any attempt to use it in a normal system could cause immediate failures. -

Maybe A$us binned chips for the Matrix. Aka binned for lowest possible voltage to match the 800W target. With two power connectors nothing stopped them at 800W. Maybe Nvidia? They bragged about 1300W for the BTF connector. So why only 800W ? Because they was vorried about the cooling? -
Newer is always better bro @Mr. Fox That said, no matter how many changes Microsoft makes, if we compare Windows 11 to Windows 10, there's no contest. Windows 10 is significantly faster and, in fact , loads Windows Explorer instantly. Windows 11's File Explorer preloading feature is here: it doubles RAM usage and offers little speed advantage at idle, but the difference is more noticeable under load.

Slight above 700W and the cable feels quite warm. The Matrix without powering the BTF connector. 900-1000W for daily use is the recipe for a disaster. Even at 800W you may test out your luck. -

Maybe try find an cheap open box with 5080. Some got lucky. Sub $700 ain't bad. And some bought trash. 3 or 4 see same problem in the same thread. AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Content Creation Review If you go for the cheapest 5090 you find you may go break even when the next gen is out (no loss when you sell it in the used market). If you are after content creation then you should really look at 5090 or damn cheap 5080. Pick your poison (everything is expencive anyway). -

Yup, I will use it. And you can play with the PL slider and curve for the voltage for daily use to reduce the chances for melting connector. Asus really screwed up this gen. And Nvidia should have made it for two power connectors as standard for all 5090's (Because the 5090 ain't a 600W card). And Asus try hiding behind Nvidia's threats to lock out everything that smells oc'ing is a Joke. Nvidia knows what Galax offers with their HOF cards. Nvidia know Galax offer OC tools and XOC firmware. This won't change. But as usual, Asus really don't want offer people what some of the enthusiasts want. Asus is more a pure a gamer boy brand now. More like Razer. Not a real power house the enthusiasts want from the brand. The BTF design for the limited Edition of the Matrix is a slap in the face for performance enthusiasts. The choice of that card design was meant to to help upsell/marketing of their BTF boards that sell in low quantity.
