  1. Exactly what some stupids ask for. It's a perverse world we live in now. Stupid is the new normal.
  2. Oh' my gosh. Why use up all the slots when you can get RGB slot covers? Will you buy a few of them bro @Mr. Fox? Or is it too disgusting? The (a)RGB madness sees no end. It just becomes worse and worse for every year. What next? This is absurd and laughable. Exactly what the bling bling lovers want. More cable salad.
  3. I'm afraid the negative will outwin the positive after the Intel failure with 13th and 14th gen chips. The sharks (Tech-tubers, tech-sites and influencers) will circle around Intel's wound a long time. The new Intel introduced limits with 0x129 should stay in works until you yourself changing settings for your likings. Only a change as etc turn off Enhanced TVB shouldn't render Intel's fixes in the new MC useless. Many ways to "not" stop performance enthusiasts from plaing with their tech toy's. But it won't stop with mc 0x129, so.... There is still hope for the gamer kids crying for more help or better fixes.
  4. Yup. But the solution to elevated voltage is more for the average gamer-boys and girls. Once they start fiddling in bios to try increase performance the hell is back with more complaints abot degraded CPU's. A never ending story will going forwards. And the techtubers will continue say you all should avoid Intel. Enthusiast should know how to tune their processors, so the fix for the SA bug is the icing on the cake. So a a double-edged sword. Aka one step forward then one step backwards for the average Joe if you know what I mean. Bad publicity will hurt us all. In the end you risk Intel forget enthusiasts and that all what we will get back is "halfway locked down" trashware as in Jokebooks.
  5. Yup. Here you see Nvidia improve their 4070 line with cheaper GDDR6 vram. Slower vram paired with an castrated bus. Can't be better. Remember this will be the newest 4070 SKU so it has to be better. But a very smart move. Nvidia need all GDDR6X vram they can grab for China. And they can sell more AD102 silicon. The GeForce RTX 4090D 48GB and GeForce RTX 4080 Super 32GB are available for rent at AutoDL, a Chinese cloud computing provider that rents servers for AI work. Pricing is a steal. You can rent a single GeForce RTX 4080 Super 32GB for $0.03 hourly. However, the service is currently restricted to China, as you need a Chinese phone number to sign up. Exclusive: GALAX GeForce RTX 4070 GDDR6 has been pictured, features AD104-251 GPU New memory variant for RTX 4070 is now confirmed.... Disable Intel default and the value of MC 0x129 fix is gone and worthless.
  6. I see where you go. But this is not an option here home. KPx will cost me more. See... I ordered this in early spring... 1099 nok = $101.60 USD One bottle of Kryonaut Extreme is 33.84g = So $3 USD per gram. Still damn expensive. But other lower end brand pastes here home will cost the same or even more. Etc Noctua NT-H2 High Performance will cost me $4 USD per gram. Me... Haven't much options but I rather buy the small bottle Grizzly and at least can save some money. And as FYI. This is with the dreaded 25% Norwegian tax included. Edit. 2 gram Thermalright TF8 cost +32$ or 16$ per gram. Isn't that disgusting? https://www.multicom.no/thermalright-waermeleitpaste-tf-8-2/cat-p/c/p1000445950 Yup it seems I have not many other choices than continue buying bottles with Kryonaut Extreme. A lot money to pay each time I need paste, but I haven't many other choices. Buy small syringes with thermal paste will cost me more. So that's not an option. Just pay and be happy🤢
  7. AMD won't patch all chips affected by severe data theft vulnerability "There are some older products that are outside our software support window." AMD has no plans to update its Ryzen 1000, 2000, and 3000 series processors or its Threadripper 1000 and 2000 models. In short. AMD processors released as late as late 2019 is too old to be patched. Yup, AMD care about their customers (corporate, governments and vanilla PC consumers). Sinkclose evades antiviruses and "persists even after OS reinstall".
  8. There is always a fix😁 Maybe very needed if you have Asus boards. And Intel offered us a free replacement program due sloppy QC (almost as in the old days but "for free") if you overclock your Cpu to the edge😀 The Cu being stupid in CBR-15. Or better say Windows being stupid. Maybe he buy wrong processors? Oh my gosh. The tech world need more experts as this one. Because you can trust them doing it right. New ‘instability patch’ shaves 9000 points off Cinebench multi-core score in 14900K tests pcguide.com The article above is taken from an link from Notebookcheck... Update | Intel 14th-gen stability BIOS update obliterates multicore performance with 23% loss in some benchmarks
  9. Regarding to Safedisk. Not fully solved. He get crashes if the push too hard. Maybe it's his mem settings but he say so. Fun video. There is no need for the 0x129 MC. Or new beta bios. Just use your favorite bios and tune in settings. Aka the old good way do it. Igorslab have tested. Both Kryonaut and KPx will pump out. The old Thermalright TF8 or the Corsair XTM70 is the way to go if you want longevity. Corsair is expensive. But use double amount paste for same lifespan means double the price🙂 We have both Thermalright TF8 and Corsair paste in the shop here home. Almost same prices vs Kryonaut Extreme. KPx isn't an option as this paste isn't sold here hom. I still have enough of Kryonaut Extreme (bougth the +30g barrel a few months ago) but I may try Corsair's XTM70 paste next time if the price point is ok'ish or is close to Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme. https://www.igorslab.de/category/kuehlung/waermeleitpaste-und-pads/ The KINGPIN Cooling is certainly a good paste for LN2 overclockers, but I wouldn't use it in a normal PC for long periods of time, at least not for a longer period of time of more than 6 to 9 months. This applies to all such specialized pastes, by the way, because if you optimize the properties of the matrix and the fillers for the low temperature range, then something is naturally lacking in other areas. Same with Grizzly Kryonaut (Extreme). Hence LN2 clockers prefer them. Easy to apply and easy to clean up in a hurry. And they works very well with the sub zero cold. + it helps that many of the top LN2 clockers (elite and the choosen ones) are sponsored by Grizzly and Kingpin. The rest of us pay premium for not much more over the other better thermal paste.
  10. Maybe it will reach low powered 4060 mobile junk in Jokebooks, but who should trust AMD's numbers? Just look at the video I posted about AMD and their fake bench numbers above. So don't hold your breath. Or this one below. This is AMD nowadays! Either frauders or they don't know what they are doing. Could be both.
  11. Google is killing one of Chrome's biggest ad blockers uBlock Origin will soon stop functioning in Chrome as Google transitions to new browser extension rules. uBlock Origin should continue to work fine on other browsers, including Firefox, Edge, Opera, and other Chromium-based browsers that support extensions, like my new browser bestie Vivaldi.
  12. I see you have popped into one of YouTubes biggest AMD fanboy'z channel... This YouTuber is useless to see or find proper content/info from. Save your valuable time brother for something else🙂 Life is too short to follow trash. https://www.youtube.com/clip/Ugkx34QYLNylqyaYJdZFEaellfpKpJJ6ZWLt See my reply above. See also......
  13. AMD's 'Sinkclose' vulnerability affects hundreds of millions of processors, enables data theft — AMD begins patching issue in critical chip lines, more to follow Almost cannot be fixed, say researchers.... 'Sinkclose' is the name of a recently discovered major security vulnerability that affects virtually all of AMD's processors released since 2006. This flaw allows attackers to deeply infiltrate a system, making it extremely difficult to detect or remove malicious software. The issue is so severe that, in some cases, it may be easier to abandon an infected machine than to repair it, reports Wired. There is good news, though: since it has not been discovered for 18 years, it likely hasn't been used. Also, AMD is patching its platforms to protect them, though not all affected processors have received a patch yet.
  14. Intel details microcode update that addresses instability and crashing errors — claims patch has negligible performance impacts, future processors not impacted The patch reins in voltage, instituting a hard 1.55V limit as the company investigates potential mitigations for a related issue — a minimum voltage shift condition that can occur on impacted processors. The company will provide an update on the minimum voltage issue before the end of the month. We've asked for more details. Intel also says that all future processors will not be impacted. The 0x129 update will limit voltage requests above 1.55 volts to prevent chips that are still unaffected by the instability from getting damaged. Intel also said, "…based on extensive validation, all future products will not be affected by this issue." However, chips that are experiencing instability or have already failed will have to go through the RMA process, as there is no fix. For unlocked Intel Core 13th and 14th Gen desktop processors, this latest microcode update (0x129) will not prevent users from overclocking if they so choose. Users can disable the eTVB setting in their BIOS if they wish to push above the 1.55V threshold. Edit: Microcode (0x129) Update for Intel Core 13th and 14th Gen Desktop Processors by Thomas_Hannaford on ‎08-09-2024 07:00 AM Asus have now posted their beta bios on their official support page. https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-maximus/rog-maximus-z790-apex-encore/helpdesk_bios/

  16. Meant to reduce overshoot/voltage spikes. And with this fix Asus could increase LLC to 5 iin the beta bios if I remember correct. Not fun seeing close to 1.7V😁
  17. Maybe start with 3Dmark Time Spy Extreme (Cpu score). The biggest drop in performance of all tests. Not sure I trust Jayz. Neither do I know if MSI did some own changes in bios.
  18. Want to be the guinea pig. Here's the last MEI driver https://mega.nz/file/ANsFELYA#nqKdMeYcHPInYW2wLGlFd5Ci-Ax2fVUPToSs44Ji5wM Launch "Install.cmd" by right-click Run as admin > Automatic restart when install is done. Me... IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT🙂 That's nice to hear. HeHe, I expected you had the answers on that one🙂 Asus should have followed EVGA. A kill switch for ME in bios. @Mr. Fox love it. PS. Why do we need ME for consumers/gamer boy machines? Nothing will be 100% secure anyway. This only open a door for the governments and their partners. As well hackers.
  19. Hello bro. Nice to see you pop up here. Hope all is well. Everything well here up in the North. The usual. Rain and rain, LOOL As expected... No need for the ME update. Any changelog for v16.1.30.2361 ? MSI offer it on their driver support page. Thanks.
  20. When will Intel release a hybrid chips with 3 different type E-cores for their mobile trash? This is just disgusting. Intel Arrow Lake-H CPUs For Laptops To Feature Core Architecture Trio: Lion Cove P-Cores, Skymont E-Cores, Crestmont LP-E Cores Intel's Arrow Lake-H CPUs are now confirmed to include three different core architectures, Lion Cove P, Skymont E & Crestmont LP-E cores. And here's a new problem Intel HQ need to handle. Intel hit with lawsuit over $32 billion loss, shareholders complain company hid problems
  21. I expect Asus have kept the older MEI firmware v16.1.30.2307 with the new beta bios. That's good. MSI use the newer v16.1.30.2361
  22. Could be there is more than elevated voltage that's fixed with the new MC. The stablility issues people have seen with Intel chips can also be memory related as well.
