I need two bro Custom. I have the HOF. So double chance for fire if CM have real QC problems with those new angled adapters😅 Edit. @RecieverVPN works. And also my ISP vendor support tested the same notebooktalk website on their own machines. They got access to the forum page but not me with the same IPS vendor/host. Yep, turning of VPN and the access to the forum don't work. -

In the beginning I could connect to the website and read new posts. Also the notification worked. But I wanted reply on my older posts a couple of pages back. Went to my older post and that page started loading and then crashed into nothing. Timing out. Now I can’t even connect to this forum at all with my ordinary fiber internet. Only with my phone or connecting my pc to the phones own IPS. -

I use a lot different drivers depending on all the different cards I have. So no favorite. And some drivers work better with some benchmarks while other benchmarks not get as good results with same drivers. I also use multi-boot OS setup. All different OS with their + and minuses. I haven’t 3000 series cards but maybe try out 531.18 maybe that one works. I mean I got a ok result with this one on my sons 3070. But use NvCleanstall for fast change of drivers. New bloat free driver install is done within 2 min with this tool. And this tool can do the whole process from downloading the drivers and then install it. @Mr. FoxI have had problems connecting to this forum the last two days. It times out. Same problems on 3 different pc’s. I can only access this forum on my pc’s with my phones own internet connection. Aka other IPS. Got in contact with the internet vendor. They will send out a new home central. Only problem with notebooktalk.net website. Connect to other websites isn’t a problem@Reciever -

Is this meant as a Joke @Mr. Fox? The first version of Gigabyte 4090 WINDFORCE 24G come with Vapor Chamber while the refreshed 4090 WINDFORCE 24G V2 come with a thin copper plate. Less cooling capacity and cheaper cooing. Is new always better or only Newer? And I expect you'll still have to pay the same price for the new cut down refresh. I wonder how it feels being scammed. https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N4090WF3-24GD#kf (the orginal) https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N4090WF3V2-24GD#kf (the refresh) -

As expected. Try give the GPU more headroom with lowering CPU clocks and TDP. Back to smoke and fire....... User errors and defective adapter is an awful mix. And each by their own, is bad enough. Posted by u/CableMod - Some Perspective on Faulty adapters by CableMod Upon analysis, the majority of failures were due to the adapters not being fully inserted into the GPU, while other cases were indeed due to defective adapters. We cannot deny that things can go wrong during the manufacturing process - no company can guarantee a 0% failure rate. However, what we can do is help our users when such things occur. Isn't it nice? Remove 1/6 of the cooler.... Who will gain from this? Will the customers now finally get cheaper cards from Gigabyte? Is less more? And does this means Gigabyte go away from their cracking feature? Chinese graphics card maker Zephyrus introduces the first GeForce RTX graphics with a pink PCB. I don’t think it will help the Ryzen processors. But try with only 8 or less cores and see if the graphics score increase. -

Newer faster GPUs don't scale as well in performance on lower resolutions (benchmarks). Probably also in games. -

Because the cpu run with less cores. You loose graphics score and total score with more cores running. For best total score you nneed disable a few baby cores on 13900K. And for higer graphics scores you have to disable even more cores but this will hamper the total score. Welcome to todays modern tech world. -

I expected so. And bro Fox is spot on. And the Intel chipset driver isn't an real driver. If everything is ok and no yellow exclamation mark is shown in Device Manager then you really don't need to do anything. Loads of people got bricked machines (no post and they had to re-install the OS) after ugrading to this driver. -

Yep, I know. That's why I have sixtuple multi-boot setup on my desktop. 3xWin10, 1xWin7, 1xWin8.1 and Win11. And I will add the 7th OS on my desktop for gaming when I get a new NVMe ssd. No need for all this on my Clevo laptop. But I prefer the old Win 1809 LTSC version as main OS. And I have loads of older cards I enjoy have fun with, so... One for all, doesn't fits all needs. The time with one great OS that managed everything is gone. -

Or just use Win 10 (1809 - 2021) LTSC. Then he can update to whatever new build/CU patches without being forced into Win 11. This OS version have soon been running 4 years and without any interrupt. Haven't even needed use the Macrium backup. -

+320$ for only one single available PCIe 8pin connector you may not even can use. What a waste of metal and components and engineering. What a flawed/awful PSU design. Maybe Asus want 320$ extra for a second PCIE 8pin connector so you can power up an old fashion GPU? Or happy with +80$ premium? People with SFX needs will often buy the cheaper less powerful graphics cards that often come with a single 8-pin GPU power connector. And this PSU is barely usable for what it was meant for. And whats wrong with this article bro @Mr. Fox? One good hint for you... Tweaktown's stupid editor that gave this PSU a golden 99% rank for features this PSU don't have. Yep this editor is either damn stupid or have never touched or seen a good PSU ever before in his whole life. You can't even use this 850W PSU for anything outside a nvidia GPU that have the 12VHPWR connector. Yep, many custom 4000 series Nvidia cards + newest AMD cards will use the old 8-pin connector. You can't do that with this PSU because You'll need the lonely 8pin connector to power up the MB. And what if you need the single 8-pin to power up the MB if you have a GPU with 12VHPWR connector... You won't get any 8 pin connectors at all. Only the few small sata/molex connctors. Nice Where is the fantastic features thats worth a score of 99% in this review? The small bling bling connector on right bottom? ASUS ROG LOKI 850w SFX-L Platinum ATX 3.0 PSU Review tweaktown.com More stupid while I'm here...... Make a backup and run Autoruns as adm and see if there is services/processes you can disable. You find link to the software in my profile https://notebooktalk.net/profile/79-papusan/?tab=field_core_pfield_1 And always download the Portable version if that option is available. -

Got a nice find. All info I have seen about this XFX 7970 card say you can't adjust the voltage. And nothing show up in new and older MSI Afterburner or Evga software as expected. Voltage just greyed out. But this Asus GPU Tweak tool you can increase voltage from 1.213 up to 1.281 for this old AMD card🙂 This means I can even have more fun with this old AMD card now😎 https://hwbot.org/submission/5291158_papusan_3dmark05_radeon_hd_7970_90088_marks?recalculate=true -

Almost as timestamp, LOOL My Cablemod 180 Adapter on a 4090 TUF after 2.5 months of use... 9 days later... Mine finally started to melt too, been 3 months with the 180 adapter... 4000 series haven't 4080Ti so the new 4080 Super will be the old xx80Ti model branding. 3080Ti vs 3090 was minor in difference. You think this will be the new 4080Ti? https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-4080-ti.c3887 If they do it this way they can continue with 4090 at 1600$. Thanks. What with the 4080 Super? Will it be 1199$ and close to 4090 performance, same as 3080Ti vs 3090? Or will Nvidia continue and brand it 4080Ti? If the GPU overclock is too high with the older AMD cards the pc will freeze and the Cpu run full speed. With older nvidia card the bench just blink out in nothing and the Cpu will run normal. In short just start up the bench again without the need for re-start. I'm not very happy with how the older AMD cards works and their drivers. -

And what are your take on this? Btw. Galxax seems to adjusting prices. But in Asia and not for the whole stack of cards. I wonder why they make the big change for the 4080 (-140$). GALAX China reportedly lowers the price for select GeForce RTX GPUs, 4080 to be up to $140 cheaper
