Exactly ๐ Still nice results bro Fox. But I expect you still prefer nvidia ๐ 9th in Superposition 1080P Xtreme with 4090. The smaller pivotable wheels have load capacity from 125 and up to 300 kg. You only need 4 of them and a bigger stiff plate to fit the chiller and the PC. And I doubt the chiller + the PC is much heavier than my huge big black box๐ So I don't see the need for a laptop close to +3000$ and upwards. Your desktop can be portable if you really want. My older laptops can do the job if I need take with me a PC out on the go. As a tidbit from Papusan's plaza in the snowy and stormy north. We are now in middle of first spring month where we should start see first sign of spring flowers and birdlife. This is what we woke up to this Sunday morning. The winter storm this night come with 60cm new hard packed snow. And this won't stop before we are in middle May. Yep, nice living in a snow hole near the north pole๐ You have to enjoy snow if you like all this. And I don't. Have seen more than enough of it. More pict in the spoiler. And once Intel, Nvidia and AMD going with smaller node we will see the laptop makers once again going hard for much thinner to sell it as "big news". They aren't finished going after the thin and slim laptop crown. The only reason Apple went with slightly thicker design was the need to add back some I/O ports they removed du the sick and slimy chassis trend. The dongle life ain't really started. We are just in the beginning for minimum of I/O ports and no power connectors for the next gen lap-jokes. Gaming books, workstation laptops or creator books. All will suffer the same destiny. Look at the beauty. Something like this will be your next laptop gaming beast. One thing for sure... Bro @Mr. Fox won't pay +$3000 for next gen new and modern gaming books.. -

Huhh. +50kg desktops can be portable. And you don't need buy the modern fancy silver shining $700 wheels package from Apple to make your desktop portable๐ 4 wheels, some screws and a wooden board don't need cost more than 20$. Yep a bit heavier (100 times heavier) than lugging a 0.5kg 13" Jokebook inside your home but the wheels can offer similar/same functionality... Aka portable PC, HaHa -

Thanks bro Fox. I went into OC.net today and downloaded the tools and XOC firmware earlier today. Newer has to offer better features than the old. Always @Mr. Fox๐ Yes, Windows 11 taskbar is movable, but the Start menu does not support it windowslatest.com - March 7, 2023 Windows 11โs biggest and most hated change is its new taskbar. The redesigned taskbar is now based on XAML, which supports WinUI and Fluent and can create UI elements for any app, including UWP and .NET. The redesign has brought a modern touch to the taskbar, and XAML integration could lead to better future performance as Microsoft plans to separate the shell from the rest of the Windows elements. Still, it remains too restricted in terms of features compared to the taskbar of any Windows release, including Windows 10, 8 or 7.

I doub't we will se much of a diiference. And the lap-jockey's will run their games at native screen resolution. None will use their new and shiny slimy looking Jokebooks at 1080P. Then you have the firmware crippling. This is and will be a lottery. AMD will still use Smart-shift. + the 4090 mobile is in short 4070 ti level performance. The 4090 mobile ain't even on level with 4080 desktop card. Not enough to max out the Cpu's at 1440P. See Jufes bashing of the 16 cores Ryzen X3D V-cashed Cpu. It's sooo bad. In short a train-wreck๐ More AMD news.... AMD is aware of a rare 3DMark performance bug videocardz.com Some Radeon users may experience performance issues with 3DMark software when using the latest Radeon drivers. Old vs latest and greates AMD graphics drivers. Newer is always better, LOOL Another one but with AMDs Ryzen chips... Edit. A question for the owners of different K|ngp|n cards. EVGA offer 3 bios switch. Is there a difference between OC and LN2 vbios for the older K|ngp|n cards? Thanks -

Should work if you are 100% sure the height will be equal. Remember the old AIO mess when Intel released Alder lake. People and reviewers used standoff's from older socket for the newer socket 1700 and this made not proper fits. I mean the standoffs was 1mm too high. Hence the AIO manufacturers offered (free) upgrade kit for socket 1700. NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4090 Updated With AD102-301 GPU There have already been rumors that NVIDIA plans to introduce new GPU variants to some of its RTX 40 series graphics cards, namely the RTX 4070 and the RTX 4080, but now, a fresh RTX 4090 Founders Edition has been spotted with an updated AD102-301 GPU. According to the previous reports, an updated GPU was needed in order to enable a new voltage comparator circuit on the board. The same reports suggested that it could result in cheaper boards, lower build cost, and thus a lower price, but so far, there are no significant price changes for the RTX 40 series. While there were no reports that the GeForce RTX 4090 will be on the update path, an updated GeForce RTX 4090 has been shipped to Redditor "cavityserach123." The card in question keeps the same Device PCI ID in GPU-Z, but the Sub ID has been changed, suggesting that it won't be possible to flash it with the BIOS of the previous AD102-300 based RTX 4090. -

Here home in Norway the MSI cards sell in loads. And the used market is flooded with them. And I really hate the color combination with the Red. Imagine how much prettier this MSI card would been in black or Dark Grey. I know you don't see the Red huge ring around the fan when you use the GPU in the MB PCIe slot but there is many gamers that use a riser cable and the top of the card will flash the Red and Ugly right into the chassis window. I know you don't like the White color Galax always go with but the whole package is decent. Minimal bling bling on the card and you can turn of the flash show on the following smaller screen. Bro Fox the cartoon/anime cards with nice pastel colored bling bling from China is coming to U:S. Run and buy, LOOL A number of little-known suppliers of graphics cards that used to sell their products on various China-based marketplaces are now available in the U.S. from respected retailers like Amazon(opens in new tab) and Newegg(opens in new tab). These add-in-boards (AIBs) are neither too cheap nor too expensive, but they all started to show up in the U.S. around the time when the Ethereum cryptocurrency mining boom went bust. Chinese Brands Flood U.S. Retail With Not-So-Cheap Graphics Cards HeHe. But you should have done an Macrium backup. For testing, just do a vanilla OS install. Just create a small partition for the test OS. Then get rid of it afterwards. -

๐๐๐ I will be kind bro Electro. Only one pict of the Crocs๐ I drove to town and picked up the EVGA GeForce GTX 980 K|NGP|N ACX 2.0+. The card come without the box because the card has been an exhibition model. The owner bought it and rarely used it over the years. The card looks in mint condition and the only thing included with the card is the dual Molex to 6-pin PCIe connector (see pict). It is possible that I can use this custom 6-pin connector and mount it to the molex ports on the PSU. I will still need to steal the motherboard PCIe cable to power the dual 8-pin for the card. This is not optimal in the long run. For info... The card have 2x 8-pin and 1x6-pin power connectors. I need a second PSU to have enough power connectors. It has to be so, because the 4090 HOF needs two 12VHPWR PCI-E connectors and I don't want have to swap for 8-pins connectors depending on what card I want to run. Dang, this add more costs, LOOL Here is an side by side comparison between the GeForce GTX 980 GAMING 4G and the EVGA GTX 980 K|NGP|N. The build quality can't be compared. The MSI cards looks like a chepo baby boy toy compared. I will post a new video of these two also. Here is a few of my older cards... I think I have a few heare and there now, LOOL You are correct bro Fox. The Chinese people/gamers want their GPU backplate decorated with anime characters and they get it directly from their prefered brand. Not all cooling gear companies can offer that. And this baby girl thing is equal popular for both the boys and girls. Maybe it's an unisex want and need. From the linked article.... MaxSun RTX 4080 iCraft OC is not yet listed by any retailer. We should remind our readers that MaxSun GPUs are usually not officially sold outside China, though, but it does not mean you canโt import one. -

Me.... On the way to buy my first K|ngp|n card ever. Me... Have checked the used market the last years for interesting tech things. Now I'm on the way grab it๐ EVGA GeForce GTX 980 K|NGP|N ACX 2.0+ P/N: 04G-P4-5988-KR $120 for the old. But I enjoy play with the old. More fun than with the new modern. Have a MSI GTX 980 but that low end Gamer card isn't the best one out there. And all should know my feelings about MSI, so.... Yep, now I'm forced to buy a 2nd PSU. This old bad boy need more than 2x 8-pin connectors. I don't want swap in and out the dual 12vhpwr pci-e adapter cables for playing with my older cards. Fun times... Got my first HOF card. Now my first K|ngp|n card. At least the latter is a lot cheaper. @electrosoft @ryan Are you ready to see some pict of well used all black crocs?๐ I think even bro Fox will enjoy them. -

Yep, not relevant for me.... But all know how Dell deal with their customers. All Nvidia AIC cards is at same risk get same treatment. Remember Nvidia did something similar to my Zotac 989Ti Amp. Extreme. They just removed the extra voltage headroom (+87mv) with their newer drivers. So no more use of the voltage slider in any of the OC software. So your golden AIC vbios with voltage adjustment can be rendered useless!! I can get away with a custom bios with fixed over-voltage, but all those with newer graphics cards will be stuck with what Nvidia think your cards should have. No tweaks can fix that. They can even reduce TGP if they want so. Remember noting in specs say 600W for 4090 3225mhz on the cores. https://hwbot.org/submission/5222501_papusan_gpupi_v3.3___1b_geforce_rtx_4090_1sec_14ms https://hwbot.org/submission/5222485_papusan_gpupi_v3.3___32b_geforce_rtx_4090_57sec_208ms @Mr. Fox Have in your back-head that AMD often offer loads of non WHQL drivers that UL/Futuremark won't approve. They are the king of beta drivers. Btw. Anyone that like this fix? Not the best looking cable salad in your pc box. Sad he never posted pict of the cable bend ๐ From the link.... Hey guys. I went to a pc technician to help me build my pc but he pig tailed the pci-e cables' connection to the 16 pin adapter which is not recommended. This technician doesn't want to fix his error and I myself am 2 left handed, so my questions are these: Is this safe? -

If you can't find a solution... Maybe try ask Chispy for help. He is an retired oc'r from hwbot. Also very helpful person from what I have seen. You find him over on Techpowerup forum. Amd got roasted because this is to be expected with the 7900 series Radeon cards (110C) when they trotted down clocks due faulty cooling. It's a good thing let the chips have the chance and run wild above 100C. But not if the cooling is already good enough. 100C should only be reached with awful cooling and or the chips run well above the TGP specs. 100C and 300-350W load is awful for a high end graphics card. Yep, and now they start complaining about hot running, awful priced chips that has to be castrated to reduce the RMA costs. Not so sure all is happy with the castration from 170W down to 120W TDP. The locked out overclocking is only the Icing on the cupcake Not easy to please them all๐ But I expect many with the newer AMD platform is happy that AMD lowered TDP for their new gen X3D chips. Lower TDP = Lower max temp. And AMD claims they always go after high efficiency over max performance for their Cpu and Gpu chips, so... It match what AMD's gaming div boss Azor want. -

Pay more get less. Why in earth did AMD launch this v-cashe processor? This is in short a 6 cores Gamer processor. Those processors should cost +-300$ at max. AMD RYZEN 9 7900X3DThe 12-core CPU with 3D V-Cache is that much slower in games How much slower than the Ryzen 9 7950X3D with 8+8 cores is the Ryzen 9 7900X3D with 6+6 cores? LOOL Here we go. Tripple puke x2๐ Yep, with 4000 series Nvidia and new modern Radeon graphics cards you are forced to use the new and shiny from Redmond. The biggest drawback with new modern hardware. No wonder I have more fun with the old. We should see/praise us lucky we still can use newest Intel processors. Worse with those with newer AMD Ryzen processors. They have to use the new modern OS from Microsoft due the processor don't play well with the older OS's. Even Win 10 can be a problem. Not much gain going with ECC disabled for 3DMark 11. Maybe because its an very old benchmark. Or the modern benchmarks need ECC disabled to perform as normal๐ Can also be the combo with the new touch messed up OS from Microsoft. I have no modern graphics cards I could test with to see if there is an difference. https://hwbot.org/submission/5221746_papusan_3dmark11___entry_geforce_rtx_4090_84059_marks https://hwbot.org/submission/5221757_papusan_3dmark11___performance_geforce_rtx_4090_81721_marks?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/5221767_papusan_3dmark11___extreme_geforce_rtx_4090_51673_marks?recalculate=true -

What is this? Nvidia pushing out new 4090 silicon revision. Tried manipulating the curve in many ways but even locking the voltage preference does not allow you to go further than 1.07v. Tried on two different windows installations. Used MSI Afterburner 4.6.5 (Beta 4). Anyone else with Founders Edition with die shots? I contacted Nvidia Customer Care to ask about this and if they had a bios update to enable 1.1v limit. I was trying to figure out why I could not max 1.1v and after taking a look at the Bios and rechecking my teardown pictures. This is a newer die I believe Me... This reminds me a lot about when Nvidia remowed the 83mv headroom from the voltage slider in all OC software for my Zotac 980Ti Amp. Extreme (same for all Maxwell cards). Nvidia is a master in manipulating and trickery to max out profits. -

ADLINK Puts Intel Arc A-series GPUs on MXM Form Factor techpowerup.com After GUNNIR showed the same product back in January, ADLINK is now offering both Intel Arc A-series GPUs in MXM form factor. The MXM (Mobile PCI Express Module) is a standardized form factor that is used mostly in laptops and some small form factor PCs. Product pages confirm that ADLINK offers both the Intel Arc A370M and the Intel Arc A350M in MXM form factor. According to specifications The ADLINK MXM-AXe, as the product is called, is MXM 3.1 Type A based on Intel Arc GPU, packing 8 Xe-cores, 128 Execution Units, 4 GB of GDDR6 memory, and TDP of 35-50 W, which is pretty much standard for the Arc A370M GPU. The company also offers the same product with A350M GPU with TDP of 25-35 W. With a decent power efficiency, full AV1 hardware encoding, and support for up to four 4K displays, such a GPU would be perfect for SFFs, and could be even a decent upgrade for some laptops. MXM form factor still live it's life. But not meant for modern Jokebooks. -

The fourth wire sends a PWM signal to the fan motor. The 3rd pin is for the signal, brother. The 4th pin or the PWM signal is the control input of the PWM fan. Never run a pump on low speed. And variable/lower speed tend to clog the cold-plate. I always go for full speed on the pump. And modern pumps isn't very noisy. And most of the AIOs aint maintainable so run full speed brother.
