Bro Fox. I have removed what I mean is less important. For me. 6-0 or it could be 5-0, 4-0 or even 1-0 if I remeoved more of the less important things. AMD will anyway get 0 points. See my comment below. This doesn't cover everything bro Fox. This... Apply them all. None of the AIC partners put much work into binning or be sure they use the best parts for their flagship/enthusiast products. If they did.... You would never see this below from their enthusiast product. And they all do the same thing... Put all works into the estetic and design. Make a very good cooler can hide away the worst silicon quality. People buy with their eyes and are often brand loyal. Hence the AIC partners come away with it. Just make it barely good enough vs competitors products. Testing notes & interpretation for Gaming X Trio The cheaper Gaming X Trio 4090 cards use 18+4-phase design. The new modern with more expensive High end Phase/VRM design for the enhusiasts products have no longer a special value outside offering good longevity. This only add more costs who normally isn't needed with the power gimped and castrated voltage/TGP design from Nvidia or AMD. I'm sure 18+4-phase design would work well with the higher TGP limits as the flagship models if the cooling is adequate. You go the opposite route of the gamer-kids bro Etern. Maybe you are starting to get old and dusty?๐ -

ALL AIC partners just follow their mothership. If nvidia throw out 8GB 4060's to the average gamer kids they do this only to trigger a new upgrade within weeks for the screwed so they can continue sell their overpriced higher end SKU's as 4070Ti and 4080 with broken silicon. This is perverse..... 16:23 - Will 8GB of VRAM on the 4060 be enough? Sad seeing Asus who should know better push out binned silicon that is worse then you can get from cheaper brands and with their cheapest SKUs. Premium is gone. High quality components as amazing power deleivery, top notch PCB and cooling is worthless as it is now. Fancy features like most possible bling bling and pretty design is all it's about now. And offer the best cooling in it's class only to reduce noice... Not to deliever best cooling for best performance. Nowadays modern tech sucks. -

He could just ask Safedisk to loan his "free" Xeon W9-3495X. Or just ask the MB manufacuter partner Asus so he can stay on top.. I'm sure they will deliver. For "free". You can't compete against "free" binned hardware and custom made firmware/OC software. Even with same HW it doesn't matter. -

They could manage put in an real 4090 die (AD102) and GDDR6X into 18 inch sized laptops. All other smaller 4090 laptops should be branded down to the more correct 4080 Mobile. Just make the frame around the 18 inch screen wider and the whole shassis would be bigger to fit bigger MB. But nope. The gamer kids want Apple design nowadays. -

But you forget that you can upgrade your desktop. And if normal pricing... It will cost you 1000$. Not $2800 or if you have more money than brain and go for the Msi flagship. This is what you have to pay for 4090 mobile that perform below 3080Ti (See pict above). I'm sure you would hate it ๐ Maybe fun the first days, then you'll finally start to see you got scammed ๐ Will GPUs Ever Get Cheaper? GPU Pricing Update Both AMD and Nvidia have talked about weak demand for consumer components in their latest earnings reports and the strategy for now appears to hold firm, reduce supply to match reduced demand, and keep sailing in the same direction. For the mid-range and mainstream markets there's not much to get excited about. Pricing has been the same for a while now, new offerings/replacements are still months away, and the new models may not be mid-range cards anyway. The rumors surrounding these upcoming models don't paint a particularly awesome picture. We may see a small improvement in price-to-performance and that's it, which would be overly disappointing but regrettably that's been the last five years of GPUs. Then you have this.... Let the gamers pay premium. They have to if they want the new gen graphics cards. Nvidia optimistic about the future even as gaming revenue dries up Nvidia's future greatly depends on how well the AI renaissance goes Keep the new low/mid range cards away from the supply chain and the gamers will help Nvidia/AMD to sell their higher tier cards to keep up ASP and max profits. In the longer run... Low sales but high ASP for the high end will make new low/mid range graphics cards more appealing forwards. Because not all will pay an arm and a leg for 4070Ti, 4080 or 4090. This way Nvidia and AMD can keep up high prices also for cards that will launch this spring/early summer. Gamers have no other choices if they want the new and shiny and brand new. Yep, a laptop. And enjoy drag with you the cooling box. What a stupid idea. I expect the cooling is awful if you remove that cooler box and use the laptop the way it is meant to be used. Aka as portable unit. And no in hell this laptop have a 4090. Its a down powered 4080 mobile (AD103) with a name change to try increase the price point. In short... Scam! Regarding design flaw... The cooler box is meant to replace a bad designed internal cooling. -
It seems Microsoft go over dead bodies to try help their partners. And who is the fool's bro @Mr. Fox? The crying babies or Microsoft? None say he or others has to install the latest and bugged. Just go back to Win 10 and enjoy your pc. Windows 11 Watermark Showing Up On Unsupported Systems Microsoft implements plan to annoy users into upgrading PCs (or downgrading Windows) At the moment, it looks like unsupported systems will only have to deal with a mildly-annoying watermark, but this could be the first step toward more drastic measures. Microsoft has warned that it will disable updates on unsupported systems (though this clearly has yet to come to fruition, as you'll only get the watermark if you install the latest update). So, just go buy a new CPU (says Microsoft). Or uninstall Windows 11 and downgrade to Windows 10

They have not a single reason to restrict the PCIe slot with wimpy 27W as a JOKEBOOK. The 6-pin PCIe connector should be optional ONLY if you have loads of hardware connected to the MB. This should be only recommended if you intend to max out the 12v line from the 24 pin MB connector with USB-C and loads of fans. Aka you use the what the MB fan headers is able to deliver (+130W) Nothing more or less. I hate stupid engineering. Some nice results with the GTX 480 without the extra 6-pin power MB connector. I expect the lower power consumption from Aquamark and 3DMark 2001 donโt need the extra power. Itโs all about the clock speed๐ https://hwbot.org/submission/5210097_papusan_3dmark2001_se_geforce_gtx_480_177771_marks?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/5210066_papusan_aquamark_geforce_gtx_480_558152_marks?recalculate=true LOOL. Papusan replied to Mr. Fox's topic in Desktop Hardware
I can answer my own question.... This is retarded of lack of better word. I know the 6-pin connector support added wattage for the PCIe slot if it lack needed power but several other brands offer MB's that can provide enough power to the PCIe slot without this restriction. And I don't use much of the 12v line from the 24 pin MB connector. Etc the 11A (130w+) fan headers limit isn't in use. Only for fan signals so not much wattage go into these fan headers. So the 24 pin should be more than enough. Why castrate it at wimpy 27W? This idiotic design/engineering ideas is something I mostly can expect coming from Dell or F. Azor. Not from a real MB manufacturer that should know better. Now I need to find a proper solution for this due Asus own engineering stupidity. And that cost money. Not needed if they followed specs. Then you have the second stupidity from Asus. Why in hell use the F8 command for the MB/bios functionality? The Z690 Apex is meant as a oc board and people use F8 command to go fast into Windows safe mode. So stupid has to be todays word. And Asus earn it. Every single bit. Asus deserve 2x tripple.... -

The main or sad problem with this. You often don't have many another options. And this isn't only a Corsair problem if thats what you say. I still don't want to go with the competitor if the products isn't equal good. Good Support is nice to have but doesn't help much if you don't like the products they offer. I better go with good products with not the best support over good or amazing support but with not the products I really want. Not always you can have it both. And for the most I usually return products to the store if something is wrong. I don't have to deal with none. Just wait getting my product back in working state. If they can't... They normally offer money back or equal good product. The best support is not to need support. The only time I had to deal with this was Dell and their otsourcing partners. My worst experience ever. Both the product and the awful tecnicians Dell hire cheap for the job. -

Yep, need more PCIe connectors. And the choice is between swap out what I have or mount in an second PSU. A second PSU will give me loads of cables and power headroom over ecual powered PSU (with dual Nvidia connector) as I already have. And a smaller SFX psu should be a lot cheaper. Saw this... from Tomshardware Corsair SF750 Review Will check the price. Not keen pay overprice. Edit. 195$ ๐ And the second choice from Tomshardware... Total $85 https://www.digitalimpuls.no/corsair/151909/corsair-600w-gen5-svart--12vhpwr-psu-kabel-sleeved And I already have two for the Be Quiet Dark Pro PSU. Then I have 180A 170A or +2000W output power from this PSU. Can't beat that. Only the end of the 12VHPWR cable will be a bit hot, HaHa I also made caps I use to protect the flimsy 12VHPWR connectors when I swap out the new with older graphics cards. Maybe not needed, but better safe than sorry. And I enjoy also the old, so... And maybe a couple of other 4090 models. But this show how Nvidia deal with its partners. They upping their quality (probably got good deals with the components makers+own free best binned chips) and with time will steal more and more from their "valuable" customers/PARNERS. It's very bad when the AIC partners can't compete with it's own mother (just look at EVGA). Hence they have to go with the absolute cheaper/trash solutions. As long they offer bling bling and lots of aRGB I think the gamer is happy as is.
