Could be before. Low overall sales push them to try sell more overpriced SKUs to keep profits above minimum. @ryanAD102 is all we get. And maxed out die won’t provide a major uplift in performance. 10-12% perhaps. On top… Gamers will never get the maxed out die. Not even their +6500$ cards get that. -

I don’t think Nvidia offer higher than 1.100V for 4090. It max out at that voltage. Binned within range of that max voltage. And the high memory temps for some Liquid X cards. Too big variance in build quality. Desktop hardware follows what you get with modern laptop junk nowadays. The trend is here to stay. Awesome is dead! -

Great that you got it to work. If it wasn't for the beta and get it to work... Msi never bother make own new software for tweaking under development of their new flagship. They have totally lost their touch. But be you sure... They will put all eggs into making new software of for bling bling tuning and maybe some gaming tasks features. They isn't very interested in OC'ing. -

Nice results bro Fox 🙂 But is this below tempting? At least 2500$ for 10% more cuda cores and same amount vrm(slightly faster variant) as the 1600$ 4090 FE. Same Board power is just the icing on the cake. What about a castrated 4090Ti. Still Cut-down AD102 silicon(slightly less castrated than for 4090), Same amount vram to try reduce power consumption, one wimpy 16-power connector because the top dog ADA gamer card will get same max board power as the weaker 4090. One instead of two 16-power connectors reduce costs. Whats the point? Only to show greed have no limits? Yep, just rumors but not unlikely this will be final results coming from the green goblins. I had to install the beta version of Afterburner for activation of the voltage slider. And I mean you only got 50mv for 1.100v. And only God/Nvidia knows how long it will last. None know when Nvidia will change their mind and remove this option in coming drivers😂 Could be they did it wrong for 4000 series cards. But only put it there as option if AMD become a treat. -

https://www.gemini.com/cryptopedia/crypto-mining-rig-bitcoin-mining-calculator-asic-miner Short for application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), ASIC miners are designed to do one thing and one thing only — mine cryptocurrency. The first ASIC miner was released in 2012, and was about 200 times more powerful than the standard GPU miners of the time. The latest GPU-Z 0.5.8 includes a new feature that displays the quality of the GPU (ASIC quality) of recent graphics cards (GeForce GTX 400, GTX 500 and Radeon HD 7800, HD 7900 series). 2012.01.22 What you prefer... This is ugly and disgusting as well. From the EVGA forum. People buy legacy 980Ti K|ngp|n cards and find the same as me.... nvidia screwed up. Better later than never I expect. Could you please ask in the thread if some EVGA mods/reps have tried to force Nvidia to fix their disgusting screw up in their latest drivers? Because even EVGA washing their hands. Link here.... https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/3587910 If Nvidia can do this without people notice it/don't bother.... Be you sure Pascal, Turing, Ampere will be next on the list. Then 4000 series. As long there is an option for limited voltage control for modern Nvidia graphics cards.... It will be a goner. Because Nvidia don't really want it. -

🤗🤗🤗 Geforce RTX 4090 VRM PCB water block list. Avoid Colorful for now if you want a custom WB. And nothing here for GALAX. They have restrict rules.... Don't change thermal paste if you intend or need return it for repair within warranty perod. Be sure you use their own paste if you are able to find it. Nice warranty for a graphics card that cost +2500$ -

All is from EVGA's own page for their top tier graphics card. See the link I posted above. I put it here.... I have two older GTX 480. One with Asic at below 60% and one above 86%. The lower binned card is awful for oc'ing and run damn hot (FERMY was known for running HOT so High ASIC score was very needed). And if you didn't clean up you almost saw smoke coming from that card, LOOL Exactly. And I'm sure Nvidia still have tools and could offer the SDK to the GPU-Z author. -

ASIC = Gone with Pascal (10xx). Maxwell was the last nvidia arc with this feature. Here's how EVGA priced it for 980Ti K|ngp|n. My Zotac 980Ti Amp Extreme have 81.8% Asic quality. Costed $679.99 USD at launch or +50% cheaper than the best binned variant from EVGA https://www.techpowerup.com/review/zotac-geforce-gtx-980-ti-amp-extreme/28.html My Zotac 980Ti Amp Extr can do above 1600 and Jayz 980Ti K|ngp|n sample (his 2nd one) still barely do 1552MHz and thats near 1000+$ cards from EVGA. And Jayz wasn't happy with what it could do. And as you can see.... Buying the Halo product doesn't mean you will win in the silicon lottery... Not at all. So a great idea remove such features as Nvidia think. Not all will be happy seing they paid premium for nothing. https://forums.evga.com/What-are-your-GTX-980-Ti39s-ASIC-qualities-m2347656.aspx -
Yep, and most modern laptops have less I/O ports nowadays because the USB-C ports is meant to replace them. The Apple way. <nice with I/O ports as etc USB-C> that can't be used because you need to use it to power up your laptop😎 Dell scrapped etc Ethernet port for their high end gaming books because they preferred USB-C dongles for thin and slimy to let you connect to internet. Not all use want to use the Wifi connection. All this reminds all too much about Apple. You get less and less, but still have to pay premium.

I remember when EVGA did proper binning. Old days they binned the correct way and used 3 tiers. And you paid accordingly what you wanted to pay. Now they put the “worst best” chips together with the “better bin” and put all of the so called binned chips into ther best and most expensive halo products. I don’t call this proper binning. The range in quality is too wide. You have a big risk getting trash vs other brands that put in whatever chips in their custom SKUs. What you really get for premium is slightly better cooler and amusing design that is meant to match what they charge. And Nvidia don’t need the best coolers for their FE cards. They just use better binned chips for free. AIC partners have to make better coolers to hide what they really use and what they get from Nvidia (they don’t want pay the premium or Nvidia don’t have enough of good silicon). Same for vram. -

This is almost as a defective product. Or just say what MSI is able to throw out (Bad QC or just greed). If this is what MSI say is a binned product and want premium on top. No thanks. But your Newegg SKU is more the normal and what to expect for binned products. Slightly better vram than what I had. But all in all... Disapontment products from Msi. And in line with my experience with MSI graphics cards. Thanks for the testing brother. This just confirm my feelings about MSI🙂 -

XX90 should never been introduced. All too expensive because you get capped silicon. Should be xx80Ti and 20GB vram for 1199$. Or with inflation on top at 1299$. Minimum $300 cheaper than today. This would be more acceptable. They could offer Titan branding instead for xx90(Ti) for those that want or need prosumer cards with +24GB vram and full fat die for their workflow. -

Not so sure 60% premium above already disgisting price is so much better if you walk with the Green side of products. They both offer little; Pay a lot. Galax walks their own way. RTX 4090 HOF Edition for only $2579 or 60% premium over vanilla 4090. If you are lucky maybe you may find a custom water block later that will fits to exchange the fans. Then you’ll see the +$3000 price tag. On top... Forget getting their "special" OC tools who is only aviable for the elite benchers/the choosen one. You get the HW but not the needed toools. GALAX launches its beefy and over-the-top 666W RTX 4090 HOF Edition for $2579 https://www.tweaktown.com/news/90160/galax-launches-its-beefy-and-over-the-top-666w-rtx-4090-hof-edition-for-2579/index.html -

AMD/Microsoft just don't want polaris users to play newer modern games with older HW if they prefer Windows (works on Linux). Even if the game experience will be bad.... I thinks Mr. Azor would say (sarcasm).... Please buy our new very expensive RDNA3 GPUs but don't expect magic vs previous gen RDNA2 Radeon cards. But if you buy our newer gen cards, we can grab out some profits and you are able to get newer drivers... We spend less time make "drivers for older gen graphics cards" only to let you get the best experience with our new cards. So please buy our newest and more expensive cards even if the performance gain is minimal. You all will with this help AMD and me stay relevant and this will help me pay my bill's. AMD Radeon RX 400/500 GPUs reportedly can’t run Forspoken https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-radeon-rx-400-500-gpus-reportedly-cant-run-forspoken Yep, 7% faster is still better than no increase in perfomance. Worthless if the OEM as etc Zotac follow Nvidia and washing their hands Also my Zotac 980 Ti Amp Extrme had voltage adjustments. 87mv for more voltage control. Now in newer drivers... Gooner. Most OEM offer a few mv for voltage control. But worthless if Nvidia say they have to jump. And this is for you my old friend❤️ Happy Birthday bro Fox. I'm the middleman. Older than you but younger than bro Fox🙂 Best of both worlds?😆 -

When better tools from other OEM won't work on its competitors cards, 3rd party tools don't work, you are forced to use own buggy/useless OEMs software or even castrated software from the HW manufacturer (meant for all AIC partners cards), new modern fancy software from Redmond.... This doesn't bode well. This smells as a coming disaster. We are already there with laptops and desktop hardware. Todays graphics cards is already castrated vs. what it could have been out from the factory. And then you have the castrating a few years after you bought your graphics cards. A nice new way to push you over on next new modern that will be equal destroyed later. -

AMD offer OC and tuning in own software.... https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/software-performance And this isn't the best option... Just read my previous post about AMD cripple 3rd party software that works better. See post below. -

Apple continue their sick engineering/developement. Apple Silicon Mac Pro Will Not Support External Graphic Cards, But Its Own GPU Is Said To Be Plentiful Apple is reportedly taking multiple steps back as far as the user upgradeability goes on the company’s Mac Pro. In addition to not being able to upgrade the RAM, customers will also not be able to hook up external GPUs sporting a PCIe slot. However, it is possible that Apple is locking out external GPU support because the Mac Pro’s own solution will be more than capable. See my point above about awful software.... Software will be more and more important if 3rd party tuning software won't get or have support or just won't work. Good OEM tuning software will be more and more important if all other options will fade away/vanish. Be stuck with trash and buggy OEM software to be able to tune own HW will be difficult to accept. You need more than awesome HW. Not be able to use it the way it was meant because the software can't be used, make the fancy new HW rendered useless. All you sit with, is an expensive gaming toy with loads of bling bling and nice fancy blinking colors.
