  1. Welcome to the forums, and to the dark side 🤣. You'll find many knowledgeable people here, and everyone is helpful if you have questions.
  2. Obviously your not setting her system up to be a Benchmark machine, but still respectable. You could get much more from that card if you wanted, and you know that already. I've never run anything stock, so I don't have anything to compare. Need to get my card up and fully running again. D***ING with the bios' takes so much time, time that is hard tocome by.
  3. I'm not sure if there is a 2 dimm board for AM5? If there is one, I think it'd be a low budget model. I stand corrected, but it's Asus. I won't buy Asus, and haven't since 2006ish. Mini-itx Check this out on @Newegg:ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-I GAMING WIFI 6E Socket AM5 (LGA 1718) Ryzen 7000 mini-ITX Gaming Motherboard (PCIe 5.0, DDR5, 10 + 2 power stages, ROG Strix Hive, EZ Mode PBO Button, Two M.2 Slots, Two USB4 Type-C Ports) https://www.newegg.com/asus-rog-strix-x670e-i-gaming-wifi/p/N82E16813119592?Item=N82E16813119592&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-13-119-592-_-06042024 On a brighter note, at least for me. It's definitely bad flashing on my 7900xtx. I was able to get the stock performance bios flashed and triple verified. I'm still trying to flash the aqua bios, on the low power bios chip, but I can't seem to get it to verify. Not quite sure what happened, as I verified all writes. Now it's quite difficult to get a verification, where as before it verified easily. 🤷‍♂️
  4. That will be my next board. The Taichi line is righteous 👊
  5. Looks like it was a fun build. Of course they're all fun 😁
  6. As we always said...there is no replacement for displacement for horsepower, same can be said for cores.
  7. And 24 cores vs 16. Disable 8 cores and give me your cb 23 score.
  8. So, I have a question. The picture I took of my gpu reading zero's, was still plugged into my monitor! I just thought the on board graphics took over. In fact when I switch the bios to the low power, gpuz only reports Raphael as my gpu. I may take everything back apart and flash everything again. @electrosoft
  9. Yes those are the 8npin connectors. I love your optimism. I should have known to not rush something like this during nap time 🤣😭
  10. Bro, you're cruel. I don't know. What is northwest repair? Just sent Tony at northwest repair an email.
  11. Tape was supposed to be where the red circle is. It was just below it when I took it apart
  12. I've had it open 4 times. Flashing bios'. Was in windows when the screen went black. I noticed some thermal tape was in the wrong spot when I took it apart. Really sucks 😭
  13. Anyone want to do a gpu repair? Was in windows when it went black. I'm assuming a misplaced thermal pad.
  14. I think I have everything ready to flash the aqua bios on mine. Love this card for the $1099 I got it for. $1200 is the most I've ever spent on a gpu (Radeon VII). I don't plan to go any higher than that anytime soon.
  15. @electrosoft don't know if you tried the latest bios dated 5-28? I may not.
  16. Glad to see ya, stranger. Great scores! Hoping to get close to 8000 in the cartoon steel nomad, if I can find some time to flash my vbios.
  17. 28gb gddr 7, 448bit bus, $2500? https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-rtx-5090-new-rumored-specs-28gb-gddr7-and-448-bit-bus
  18. Tbh I'm not interested in anything single threaded, and there isn't many, if any, current games or software that do not take advantage of multi-thread cpu's. I don't run any of those benchmarks either, because what's the point? Seeing if your excel spreadsheet opens a micro second faster? I haven't cared about single threaded benchmarking for over a decade.
  19. There may be a little migration from Intel boys coming this generation. Core ultra doesn't look promising. Less clock speed and no logical cores.
  20. Like I've said before, I absolutely loved the asrock x570 board I had with previous gen Ryzen. Rock solid ocing, no weird glitches, and it was cheap comparably.
  21. Nicely done bro! Maybe someday, I'll be able to finish my office/geek cave. I have 3 office chairs, all junk, a corner desk, which I kind of like, a Costco bookshelf full of harware boxes, an old coffee table, and multiple boxes of crap that need gone through. Ps. You're hired 👍🤙
  22. Still hasn't improved boost clocks, maybe 50mhz. I'm probably going with the 9950x at launch. Not into gaming like I used to be, and gaming benchmarks aren't as fun anymore either. I may get another board too, as I'm not a fan of this one, as you know.
  23. I've already saved multiple copies of the stock vbios. It's a USB ch341a programmer, so there shouldn't be too much power to fry the chip. I have the alligator clip style, and the push/hold/pray style leads. It's been a few years since I've used it.
  24. Ya, I did not like the new bios. It ruined 8000mhz memory, and boot times also. Like I've said, I am not super impressed with this Motherboard, and it's quirky habbits.
