    Yes! You got it 90% right I am a "semi" well-off boomer pensioner! But that could be up for argument. As for the Jobs, I am also concerned due to our Capitalistic System. It's necessary for the world to continue to produce successful people and living conditions. I think it's just too soon to predict what jobs will become from AI. I do have Grandchildren, and 1 of them told me he wants to be an "Influencer" Well I had nothing to say about that

    This AI is Bigger, Bigger, Bigger, its Mind Boggling!!! Military, Law Enforcement, Rogue Hackers, Yes the world is in for an enormous change. Now lets get to the important stuff. Can AI hack in to my computer? Will AI make my computer obsolete? Can AI take over the stock market? This is not going to end. But as for jobs, it will make some obsolete but create others.

    All the arguments, for and against AI are credible even reasonable. So whoever picks it up and learns the most about it will have the advantage, good or bad! I see the benefits appearing everyday, but what is being worked out behind closed doors is really scary.

    I am looking forward to AI. Here Marc Andreessen says it and I have to agree. I don't know who he is and never heard of him, only read the article, but this makes sense. Even if AI was regulated by um! somebody, like our Govt. Our Govt. can't regulate anything. Some Hackers somewhere will abuse it!     Do you think ChatGPT would make a good lawyer? That might be a good idea. I bet the lawyers are going to use it in their cases. Just think if you get a AI lawyer and it does a bad job, you don't have to fire it. just hit Delete!

    I just flipped through the service manual! Am very impressed with it! Looks like Dell has made the M18 to be taken apart more easily. I love the dirty fan on page 27 HAHAHA, that laptop was not from a "clean room" environment, a real world test machine. I see lots of screws, different sizes, but the picture guide was a great move for the home technician. The manual has sparked more interest in the M18 than the actual machine specs

    So how about rtx 3080 in SLI and "DifferentSLIAuto.exe" ? would that be possible???

    This vBios 86.04.80.00.23 work much better than vBios 86.04.2A.00.2C SLi Compatible, but with DifferentSLIAuto1.7.1-win10_CS, I was able to run SLI with vBios 86.04.80.00.23 GTX 1080 mxm x 2 in P870DM3-G. The only problem, I have to run in "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement" mode cause I don't know how to sign the nvlddmkm.sys for Win 10 to accept it. But I am happy with the performance.

    So you are looking for vBios 86.04.80.00.23, should be non-gsync, that is in my card. But you want with gsync? I am asking because I ordered another GTX 1080 and now I think there will be a problem as per reading this thread. Its kinda like this is what I should expect when my order comes in

    I just noticed the pic you posted is almost a duplicate to the card I got by mistake so I'll upload the vbios even tho I have no clue which one it is. If it has gsync or not GP104.rom

The 2nd has lower temps because I polished the heatsink contact areas with Noxon metal polish. Nice and shiny now. I was surprised at the difference and happy I put in the elbow grease. OK here is an update, https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/89728068 just now and speccy temps during the bench, fans on full and another https://www.3dmark.com/spy/36048263 I don't know what the PerfCap Reason is, VRel and PWR, why would it have a power when I have 2 adapters connected and voltage reliability, Have no clue

    Its different when its for work. At least the purchase should qualify for a tax write off, which helps defer some of the cost. This now becomes a tool for income. I am now retired carpenter and when I was working tools and work clothes helped me get a bigger return. So it is more of an investment than an entertainment system.

I have an update to what this is costing so far and still have a Long Way to Go GTX 1080 MXM $357.62 GTX 1070 MXM $374.30 GTX 1070\1080 MXM $374.30 Intel i7-6700K $102.87 16GB Memory Clevo x2 $116.23 Clevo P870DM3-G $548.75 TOTAL------------------$1,874.07 The GTX 1070\1080 MXM was a mistake by the seller. I ordered a 1070 and he sent me a 1080. I tossed around sending it back and got too nervous about the shipping out a good working card and what I might get in return, seems like anything is possible. So I saw the GTX 1080 MXM $357.62 on ebay and just ordered it. I just should have ordered a RTX 2080 in the first place. And then there is the CPU which eventually I will want to go i9-9900k. If he would have just sent the 1070 instead of the 1080 I could have sat on it for a while with SLI and been content. (for a while)
