So I tried the TDPTweak on P4000. nvflashk gives me Invalid Firmware Image Detected IDK OK since I am at it P4000 is in place so P4000M_OC3.ROM coming soon! I cant flash the P4000 maybe the neoprogrammer

Why do you say it won't work for Turing? Did you try it? I just edited my P4000, am not trying my RTX 4000 or RTX 3000 yet since I bricked the RTX 4000. Not going back into the m18x r2 but will take the RTX 3000 out of the m17x r4 and install P4000 with modified vBios and flash with nvflashk, just in case of disaster I can fall back to RTX 3000 since it works. The P4000 can now be the guinea pig so I am stuck trying Pascal Tweaks

I guess we have to take it all with a little bit of tongue in cheek -
UGH!!! It like an obsessive compulsive disorder except in order

These RTX card seem a little sketchy, I would want to wait till there is OC'ed vBios and that TDPTweaker looks interesting I stand corrected, This Looks Amazing, I really hope it works

That link mentions " which fixes a flaw that potentially allows an attacker to bypass BitLocker encryption" Messed Up is an understatement

I am not shocked at all, our Govt. can't ban anything, "It is to be expected" China even hacked into one of our Aircraft Carriers out in the Pacific, one of The so called "Worlds Deadliest Weapons" -
Yes 180w is not enough for the XM and P4000. I have 6 laptops in my room my wife calls a man cave but I know its not, but a while back we came home from a little trip and I took my Laptops out of my gun safe, that keeps them safe when we go away. I dont remember how but my m17x r4 with i7-3940xm and GTX 680m was doing exactly what yous is doing and I had plugged it into my 180w. I just dont remember ever using the 180w, I just dont use it, but hooked it up by mistake, so even the GTX 680m needs 240w minimum

I unfortunately don't know anything about that Jibberish. I brows through with neoprogrammer to see maybe the vBios version but thats it. Nvflashk uses CMD window here and flashes so far the RTX 4000 and GTX 1080 so I would assume any card can be flashed. As far as flashing vBios from different card I haven't done that but I did flash different vBios from same card models. Like RTX 4000 max Q and non max Q. And Manufacturers like Dell, MSI and such. Another thing I was able to do was flash with the card running, it paused the graphics and restarted it but I don't think that is a good way of doing it, I think the right way is to go in safe mode flash and restart. Can you tell me what vBios you have on the RTX 4000? I am searching for vbios 90.04.2A.00.0C it is for RTX 4000 max Q. I was trying to increase the power limits with a more powerful vBios from Techpowerup-z and made the mistake of not backing up the original, I really thought I did but it must have been another card

Precision M4800 + HP Quadro T2000 upgrade
aldarxt replied to Trov's topic in Pro Max & Precision Mobile Workstation
So the easiest upgrade for a M4700 would be a GTX 1050TI, sticking with Pascal, would be a nice upgrade for it, what do you think?- 34 replies

OK trying to have a relaxing day on my laptop and Win 11 has to notify me to turn off notifications because "THEY NOTICED I HAVEN'T OPENED THESE IN A WHILE" !!! YES I AM YELLING AT THE STUPIDITY You have got to be kidding me It is truly a Gimmick!

OK I listened to 1.57 and strongly recommend VeraCrypt on External HDD/SSD, No use for the Cloud and don't have to worry about privacy and hackers from Asia

For some reason the 537.99 is not approved on 3DMark so I dont use it but it gave me good scores. The physx I downloaded from Nvidia https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/physx/physx-9-19-0218-driver/ I like to keep it just in case cause this happens now and then but as for openCL and CUDA I would try the modding .inf method. I never tried NVCleaninstall yet so Idk how it works, but I think settings have to be set correctly and modding .inf has become 2nd nature for me And Yes a 180w is not enough. A 240w at least but if you need to buy 1 get a 330w, that is why your voltage is low!

Yeah it was exciting, thats why we come to Notebooktalk and its because of people like you getting better scores than me (LOL) Yes all specs and settings should be the same but I keep changing them from win 10 to win 11 and then I wonder if its my cards, but I keep finding things here to "Throw in to the pot" the challenge keeps getting bigger. I remember reading in NBR someone had smoke coming out of his laptop "Literally". So when I opened my Clevo to reflash the 1080's I found a piece of thermal pad wedged in off the card but the cards had all areas covered. So its good to go inside now and then. So these vBios 86.04.80.00.23 I am getting my highest performance with

Thanks for the vBios, flashed my GTX 1080's and got lower scores so I tried a bunch of others from Techpowerup-z and all gave me lower scores until I bricked the cards and had to remove them and use NeoProgrammer and put the vBios I gave you back in and all is fine. Now to see the difference in drivers, I think the drivers have differences with the scores in 3DMark. All the vBios I tried were limiting the memory clock speed to like 450mhz no matter where I set it. FPS was all under 10

I am using it, works fine and flashed a HP RTX 4000 it works around the lock Nvidia put in. And today I flashed my GTX 1080 about 8 times till I bricked it and had to use the programmer to get it back to where I started. Alot of work and nothing accomplished, except knowing the vBios that don't work on my 1080's As far as the RTX cards, I am leaving them alone, at least until some Wizard OC's a vBios to unlock the cards. Just swapping vBios to get higher specs and performance ain't worth it.

I wouldn't bother, too many red flags and the price is ridiculously low -
I was able to put a HP RTX 4000 in my Dell Alienware m18x r2. It worked fine till I flashed the vBios and bricked it. Unfortunatly I lost the original vBios and reflashed it with another, got it to work but it died shortly after trying many Nvidia drivers. As for putting a standard MXM card the die is offset so they might not fit in the HP
