120hz needs to be in PEG mode. SG does not work with this screen. The CPU cannot run the graphics for it. Thats why the GTX 680 is needed. I could not upgrade mine for a long time till I found out the P4000 works but with the 680 for backup, to set it up then DDU from safe mode and driver signal disabled and now it has P4000 in PEG.

I don't think you can blind flash if it keeps restarting. The programmer might be the only option. If you haven't started that try F2 to bios as it keeps restarting, keep trying a few times. I think that I might have done that and was surprised I got in but was not able to do it again. Also secure boot should be disabled

Also the RTX 3000 will Not work with 120hz, but P4000 will work after GTX 680 is installed and Pure EUFI enabled and legacy option rom disabled and win 8.1 disabled in BIOS

Use RUFUS and Win 11 ISO, there is a guide, on RUFUS site for burning to thumb drive, then on win 10 click setup.exe and should install, I prefer not to set with user account so I can install on any PC

Which m17xr4? 120hz, try pulling the GPU and do full cmos reset. you should get the 8 beeps. Then install GTX 680m and see if it resets. On the 120hz it's necessary to have the 680 for a backup. This happened to my m17xr4 120hz when I tried installing AMD RX 6600 XT. Just kept restarting and power button was useless, forget what I did to stop it, like unplugging or maybe removing the battery, was stressing out LOL. I can't get the RTX 3000 to work in it, but RTX 3000 works in m17xr4 60hz.

Actually this RaIdZz has an I9-11900k and can"t beat an I9-9900ks, he should be embarrassed and remove all his scores. I have an I9-9900k so it should be as expected to beat the I9-9900 series but he has failed!

Yes, that big fat Vapourchamber is the best, thats why I am not modifying it. I left the 1080 in 2nd slot to help hold it down tight since there are no screws in the 3080. The 1mm copper plate seems to be working well, even though nothing is holding it in place but I am not running up and down the stairs with this heavy Clevo LOL. If I took out the 1080 and wanted to install NVME adapter I would be more interested in those adapters, but this laptop I am keeping in the coral, not like I did my m18xr2, opening it up over 100 times causing the most wear and tear. This P870DM3-G is the best in the world #1 cause it is in my house, #2 cause I really like it and #3 cause it has alot of upgrade potential, but it is good as it is right now, @Meaker has water cooling and shunt mod and that laptop can't be beat. Mine is running problem free and am going to try to leave it that way, until a significant upgrade shows up (sometimes I just can't stop myself)

I think @Developer79 made custom brackets. I have the P870DM3-G and the RTX 3080 mounted to the MOBO but the big heatsink was not aligned for the screw holes so I didn't screw the heatsink to it. Bot I left the GTX 1080 in the 2nd slot and that is fully mounted properly. The main issue was a gap in the 3080 not touching the heatsink. I heatgunned an old M18xr2 GPU heatsink and the copperplate was 1mm thick and fit perfect, thermal pasted both sides and is running perfect. Both cards are always within 1 or 2 degrees temp from each other no matter which card I am loading up

The m17x r4 120HZ 3D screen will run with P4000 GPU in pure EUFI PEG only mode with .inf mod. The RTX 3000 GETEC runs in both m18x r2 and m17x r4 60hz screens in SG mode only. I have 2 RTX 3000 GETEC cards both run great. I had a HP RTX 4000 in the m18x r2 running great but was unable to screw them down and but the card is a little thicker and buldged up the keyboard slightly but not a problem. I cut a piece of rubber to fit at the end of the card to keep it from sliding out but also seemed unnecessary. It worked great till I flashed the vBios then it stopped in the m18x r2 but now works in HP ZBook 17 G6, so the card is good. There should be no need to flash the RTX 3000 GETEC

Hey @Aaron44126 I just put RTX 3000 in m6700 and got code 43. I hope I didn't damage the card removing the X bracket. It was attached so solidly like they wanted it to be un-removable.

I've developed a bit of an obsession for these old laptops. I have no interest in the newer ones. I like upgrading them and it seems new MXM GPU's keep showing up and OC'ed vBios keep it going. I tried the OC'ed 3 for the P4000 so I am going to try the lowest one the "P4000M_OC.rom" to see what happens, my m18x r2 has RTX 3000 and before that it had a HP RTX 4000 until I flashed the vBios and it stopped working while I was using it. Its just alot of screws and delicate plugs that slowly break over time so the m17x r4 makes it so much easier. When I find a sure thing then it will go in the 18. As far as Clevo it has not disappointed. I picked up a bare bones P870DM3-G and I think its the best laptop in the world. Not hard to work on and upgrade able and very powerful. It also has modded BIOS and had GTX 1080 in SLI but now it has RTX 3080 and I9-9900K

Hey @Maks0098 you need to get an Alienware m17x r4 cause it is so much easier to swap out CPU and GPU than the m18x r2. I dread working on the big 18 only cause of wear and tear, it's still my favorite Laptop and daily driver so I use the 17x's for fast experiment's. the battery, back cover 2 screws and there is the CPU and GPU heatsinks oh and fan removal. Its a pleasure to do quick swapps

He means He's having the problem with the OC'ed vBios, to do your prescription (that looks good) he need to flash vBios back to OC. Then reassemble

I am having issues with the "P4000M_OC3.rom" myself in m17x r4, the card was not even recognized in device manager and nvidia drivers did not install. So I flashed Version 86.04.51.00.03 NVIDIA Quadro P4000 0 MB BIOS TechPowerUp and its running fine. I'm not sure if these OC'd vbios are tweaked right for these old Aliens

I have the M6700 and this is the difference between m6800, according to "Precision M6700 owner's thread" on here and M4800 owners thread the M4700 and M6700 cant run Turing cards. @Aaron44126 has the most knowledge about it

You can put a HP z2 mini T2000 and its close to a P4000. I just put 1 in my M4700 and runs great, its an A card but should fit in the 6700. I just got a HP ZBook with a T1000 and going to switch it out for RTX 4000 and put the T1000 in the M6700 at least until I get another T2000 If you do the T2000 you should follow @Trov instructions in "Precision M4800 + HP Quadro T2000 upgrade" because some custom fitting most likely is required but very easy

Did anybody notice all the Security experts recommending we use thumb or face to secure our phones? When a Police Officer puts the cuffs on you, he can wipe your finger print or hold the phone in your face and have full access to all your privacy!!! Just hope it not a corrupt cop!!!
